OMG the staff were all so nice and pleasant but the food was oh so good. I had fried shrimp with rice pilafs and the house salad and I can honestly say it was my best meal this year. Kudos to the chef.

Great food! Chicken Marsala and Ribeye Steak. Service was fast and food was served promptly. The Chicken Marsala was definitely enough to feed at least 2 people. Two huge pieces of chicken. And the maurice dressing for the house salad was delicious! Only thing I would say is the steak should come with at least one side, even if its a baked potato. Will definitely be back!

Enjoyed an italian dinner that was probably big enough for 2. Our waitress bri was great, and so was the warm brownie dessert. Only down was the screened in porch was literally in the parking lot, and you could hear everyone coming and going. I'll try inside next time.

Great service and food. Coconut shrimp was awesome. Mac and cheese was an excellent side dish. Sauces were made in-house, and they have the good ranch.

Our group of eleven had an early dinner at the River Rat on May 11. The server did an excellent job and saw to our every need. Several had Jimmy’s penne pasta with Italian sausage and loved it. The fish, perch, and shrimp were lightly breaded and cooked to perfection. The chicken Marsala was tasty with a generous portion. No complaints by anyone. We will definitely be back.

We love this place but last night our meals were terrible! I ordered the $26 perch and it was over cooked and rubbery. My husband got the walleye and it had so much breading on it you could hardly taste the fish. We will never order these items again. But we will be back because we love this restaurant

I called to request information on side dish options and desserts. Woman was extremely rude. She appeared to not want to answer my questions. Our sides were missing from our order. I called manager. I asked for a credit on our $65 bill. When one spends this for two dinners you expect good service and complete correct orders. She stated there system will not allow credit back transactions. It appears they have high end prices but can't afford to update their antiquated system for their business. Then I asked if we could return food and get a correct new order. Manager refused wanted us to drive back and just get sides to eat with cold entrees or next time we come in we can get extra sides. That's unacceptable. There will not be a next time. Then I requested a full refund and was refused that too. Then manager hung up on me. Nice! Very rude unprofessional and restaurant would not correct errors in our orders. I will be contacting my bank to get a refund.

Fantastic food. My family and I had the prime rib and cheese sticks and wow. I was ravenous when I came in and left full and happy. Prime rib was flavorful and just the right texture, mashed potatoes and gravy, I could have drank them, and the bread and butter simply yummy. Nice view, pretty good parking (although parking my truck was a challenge) and great and attentive staff. Found my new favorite place to eat! The macaroni and cheese I brought home for a comfort lunch at work the next day. A diverse menu and a neighborhood place, tucked away in a cozy atmosphere with welcoming staff. I highly recommend.

Excellent all the way around. Food was so favorable and meats very tender. Fresh fish and fantastic tartar sauce. New waitress was very nice and attentive Stop here even a bit off the well traveled paths

I've lived in Harrison Township for 9 years & just went to this establishment 2 weeks ago. I am quite the Burger Meister, & always eat Medium Rare. The temp was correct, but no spice. . . bland, loss of 1 star. I asked if they give veteran discounts, they don't. I never expect a discount, I just ask. Can't tell you how many times I could have gotten a discount but didn't because I failed to ask. I don't mind no, but it's the way you say no that counts. I emailed the next day stating that most restaurants in the area do give a veteran discount (10%-20%), & it "might" behoove them to follow suit. It has been over 2 weeks now & they have not responded. Again, no is ok. Yet it is rude to ignore. . . loss of a 2nd star.

Wonderful dinner on the 10th of July. Their Ranch Dressing is house made and delicious. I had Pork tenderloins Italian style with Garlic and herb pasta. Fabulous. My so had Ravioli that were perfect. Tasted homemade. Service was great. Price very reasonable.

It’s the third time we’ve visited while passing through and this is the first time we’ve been disappointed when leaving. When we arrived, we were sat almost instantly but throughout our visit, our waitress seemed preoccupied with other tables and our drinks and apps seemed to take a long time. We also didn’t receive any bread while we waited - like other visits or other tables which was suppose to be provided with our meal. We were intrigued by their Saturday/Sunday prime rib special which came highly recommended. After probably an hour or more into our visit, we were finally asked for our dinner order. We come to find out that they were sold out of prime rib - this all before 6pm. This I can understand given how busy they were but our order could have been taken more promptly. To add insult to injury, after receiving our overcooked ribeye steaks, we were seeing prime rib leave the kitchen to tables that were seated long after us as well as leave in take orders. Hopefully with the off season coming, things will improve.

Owner is extremely rude and arrogant! will not be back I ordered a prime rib dinner asked for medium rare and ordered a king cut I called up there and asked for a manager so the owner comes on I said this is a small piece of prime rib?? he said did you weigh it? what a jerk! Then he explained they are smaller prime rib pieces when I paid 33.00 for a king cut then it is medium cooked not even medium rare! I asked for medium rare !! you would think they would of got that right! what a jerk.. I spent over a 100.00 bucks to be treated like garbage! Never will i go here again he needs to learn some customer service skills! here is a pic of the king cut and over cooked for 33.00 bucks!! Prime rib is dry and tough too! not tender!! the only good thing was the oysters and spaghetti and the soups! the fish and chips don't get them they are nasty! they were some of the worst fish and chips I have ever ordered around here! and this owner is a LOW CLASS OWNER how he treats customers!

Went to dinner with the family here! The food was good, I loved my parmigiana and potato crusted cod. My mom got the spinach feta cod, she liked it but wished the spinach and feta was on the side because the crusted cod got a bit soggy. My husband ordered the parmigiana chicken with spaghetti.

First time at River Rat. Great service, wonderful food, good pour from the bar and pleasant atmosphere. Reasonable prices as well. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Wish it was closer to home but we’ll be back for sure.

The waiter we had was awesome and so were the drinks, they have a great selection, however the food was only okay. This was my second time getting food here getting completely different things and neither meals were that great.

Food was plentiful and tasty. Great salad and seafood bisque. JoAnn our server was super attentive and checked on us throughout our meal. The bar area got a bit rowdy while we were there, but the restaurant side was very pretty. We will definitely be back.

Been coming here for years, most consistent food quality I've ever witnessed, even through Covid and staffing issues the food is always delicious and large portions, pictures posted of my favorite dish the potato encrusted cod, asparagus was a nice surprise, I usually get broccoli, the asparagus was cooked perfectly, crisp with a small crunch not soggy, and the seafood bisque was also delicious!

Very nice dining experience. The fish was good, the Caeser's Salad was very good, chilled oysters excellent, proper horseradish portion to help with the oysters, good service, pleasant atmosphere, going again soon.

I’ve been here twice. Both times the service was great and that is not the issue at all. However their food is bland and frankly not worth the hype. The first time I got the Alfredo. Horribly bland. No taste at all. The second time I got Fish and Chips which was soggy and the texture was just…not palatable. The deep dish apple pie was pretty good but not worth a special trip.

We have been driving by this place a couple of times and always wanted to have a dinner there because it looks so cute from outside. We sat outside on the screen covered porch and enjoyed our food. I particularly liked the cod with spinach and feta. Very attentive and friendly staff.

Huge walleye fillets! Very tasty, lots of flavor. Calamari is good too. We also got the cajan shrimp Alfredo pasta and it was very good. First Time Visitors and we plan on returning soon! The live entertainment by Susie and Tony made it a great uplifting and fun atmosphere for all ages!

Talk about customer service extraordinaire! I wanted to get my family a gift card to this restaurant as they just moved to the area! I was trying to make it happen all the way from Iowa but they made it easy! They went above and beyond, and I am truly appreciative.

This is absolutely our favorite restaurant in the Mt Clemens area. They have a wide variety on the menu and we've always enjoyed every entree we've tried. The staff is very friendly (especially Tess) and the service is always great.

Great food! We've eaten here a lot and have never been disappointed. Their calamari is the best I have ever had and the pizza is something special. Staff is friendly.
