Great time. Everything was so clean and well taken care of. The staff was lovely. We would definitely stay here again. It was a last minute decision based on the last hotel we were at which was horrible, but they allowed us to put our belongings in the room way before checkout so they was not in the car and in the heat. The complimentary breakfast was actually a hot breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and sausage instead of cold bagels. It was a little pricey per night (roughly $150 ) but it was way better than the hotel we left from definitely.

We had have a great experience. The front desk people were so nice. The room was clean and big and the common areas are in good condition. The breakfast is decent and this is located in a peaceful neighborhood. The only thing that I could complain would be the pillows are not comfortable and the parking is small, but in general I would recommend this hotel.

Everything was great from the moment we walked in the door. The gentleman at the counter checked us in quickly and was very pleasant... But then we got to our room. It quite obviously was not cleaned or stocked at all. We were only there to sleep so I wasn't too worried about it but I was truly unhappy with given a room that wasn't cleaned or looked at after the previous guest.

Very close to the highway. The management takes at most care to keep the place clean at all times. Not just the rooms. The public areas also kept clean all the times. Really enjoyed being here with kids.

Dirty. We arrived late and exhausted. I unloaded our needs including hooking up CPAP machine for sleeping. Got undressed and before getting into bed I noticed a short hair on top of the bed. I was so tired I didn't fuss about it. But then when I pulled back the covers, there were two more hairs. I didn't want to sleep on the sheets. The cleaning crew either never clean them in between guests or the cleaning crew had hair falling out. Lol! My son was already falling asleep in his bed, I was in my pajamas, and I had already hooked up the darn CPAP machine. So instead of going through the trouble of changing rooms, I went to sleep with towels on the bed and made do. We left early in the morning because I had a commitment and checked into a different hotel for the rest of our stay in the area. Sent an email and addressed it online and I was just told that I should have changed rooms when I noticed the hairs. I would not have felt comfortable in another room either if it was cleaned the same way.

Microtel by Wyndham was exactly 1/2 way between where we came from and where we were going to. Finding the hotel once off the interstate was so easy! Loved the fact that the Cracker Barrel was right next door, as was a convenient gas station and Dunkin Donuts! The front desk hostess was very friendly and every other employee that we met during our short stay was pleasant and helpful.

Our room was clean for the most part, we did turn the air on as soon as we got there and the room cooled off rather quickly. The beds were comfortable. My only issue with the room was bathroom has peeled paint in the shower area, the vent was full of dirt and the shower curtain rod was installed incorrectly at an angle so you it wouldn't close properly as pictured. Breakfast had biscuits and gravy, fruit, cereal, bread options, mini waffles and beverages(milk, apple juice, coffee and lemonade. Staff was friendly and check in was fast.

Lady would not give my deposit said I was smoking in the room and it smelled of smoke. I Don't smoke so you tell me. Rip off. And it was great till check out. Wouldn't recommend because of the departure and out the deposit.

This was my 1st time staying at a Microtel, and it definitely changed my perspective on the brand. While I did have a suite, the other rooms were not as "micro" as the name suggests (peeked in a few rooms when housekeeping were cleaning). I would not book it with a family for an extended stay, but for a night or 2 by myself or with my partner, it more than surpassed my expectations. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating from check-in, housekeeping, and breakfast to check-out. And while hotels vary wildly from one to another, I will definitely stay at this one if I need to stay in the area again.

Superb friendly customer service. Good room, bed, and shower. Unfortunately I left before breakfast was served. I would definitely stay here again.

Beware if traveling with dogs!! I booked into microtel through the Expedia app. One of the filters I set was pet friendly. When I got to the motel after driving seven hours I was told that pet friendly only applies to dogs under 25 pounds. Also, there is a $25 per night per dog charge. They said it was on their website, but it certainly didn’t come up, when I booked it through Expedia, they did eventually let my 55 pound Australian Labradoodle stay the night but instead of $25 they charged me $45. I have stayed in other hotels with my dogs and I have never been charged. So with tax I paid an extra $73 for the night on top of what I already paid for the hotel room. I guess Microtel and I have very different ideas of what pet friendly means.

Stayed at this hotel the weekend of Aug. 11. Got minimal sleep on the night of 8/11 due to noises from adjoining room- adjoining room door was apparently hollow. Complained to 3rd shift attendant very early the morning of 8/12 and asked for room rate reduction consideration-was told owner would be notified about this right away. Have called the hotel several times since leaving area and been told we would get some credit for the bad night. As of 8/22, these have been hollow promises from this hotel. Be warned that Mgmt. does not follow through on complaints/promises made!

The staff at the Microtel by Wyndham in Harrisonburg were thoughtful and kind, but poorly treated by Wyndham. The individual who puts out breakfast by 7:00 AM also has to watch the front desk until the morning shift arrives at 8:30. Breakfast was weak. No decaf, no juice machine, small coffee cups, and small selection of food. The hotel building needs updating. Because of hard water, the toilets and sink drains have permanent rings around them making them look dirty and not cleaned. We stayed in an accessible room the first night of our three night stay. The bathroom was dirty, not from hard water. There were no electrical outlets by both beds, so we were given an extension cord. The chairs in both of the rooms we stayed in were dated and uncomfortable. The location is close to highway 81, Dunkin' Donuts, and Cracker Barrel; however, Microtel guests have an uncomfortably close view of the Ramada Inn and its pool.

We spent the night at this Microtel in Harrisonburg in August 2023. It is a great location for an overnight. It is an easy off/easy on from I 81. It has a Cracker Barrel sharing the parking lot for an easy walk to meal. It also has a Dunkin' Donuts on the other side. The hotel itself was decent. The staff were friendly and we had no issues to speak of. Our room did have a broken sink with a huge crack in the counter. It apparently couldn't handle the weight of something or someone. The lighting was different with many florescent bulbs. But it was functional. There were not a lot of 120AC outlets. But you can probably make do if you have a lot of devices that you need to charge. This motel has a pool that I think it shares with the Ramada right next door. I stayed at the Ramada years ago before this Microtel was built. I do remember that pool with the Ramada. Breakfast had no protein to speak of. It had nothing to drink other than coffee. Not even decaf. I had a banana and a bagel . There really wasn't much else. So you might want to walk next door for a good breakfast.

Clean and comfy. Breakfast did have boiled eggs so nice to have protein, they were good too! It’s close to 81 but also close to a side road that has lots of tractor/trailer traffic so that was a bit noisy. Micro means small but I was surprised at how small. But all we needed.

Convenient for an overnight if traveling on I81. In complex with several other hotels. Dunkin and Cracker Barrel nearby and adequate free breakfast with pancake machine. Bed and pillows very comfortable. A little worn but clean. Desk staff very friendly! Has outdoor pool. We had some road noise audible in our 3rd floor room.

Our room was very clean. The beds and pillows were nice and comfortable. I love that they have all of the kids channels on cable. Must hotels just have universal kids. The location is perfect for visiting JMU. I was shocked that we never heard other guests with it being a Saturday night and completely booked. Every staff member we encountered were very friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is old. Our shower faucet handle was broken and challenging to figure out how to set the temperature or turn off (it just spins). The room was clean but very old. Outlets were not readily available. The breakfast was a joke. There was no fruit or protein options. There was toast, bagels and Activia yogurt. No complimentary water bottles. Compared to other stays at microtel (on the same trip), we were very disappointed.

Usually don't review hotels but excellent stay. Very clean and great friendly staff! Felt safe in regards to covid. Definitely beat blew away expectations!

The room was very clean and spacious. Only negatives I have are that the walls were pretty thin/transmitted sound too well, and the parking space becomes non-existent the closer it gets to nightfall. (Obviously this will vary based on time of year, holiday season, etc.) Other than those things, I'd stay here again!

Nice hotelπŸ™‚. Room was clean, bed very comfortable and stocked with standard acruitiments. Super friendly staff, Walter checked us in. He was very knowledgeable about the area and one could tell he takes pride in his job. Will definitely stay there again.

For the most part it was cleanish. We should have asked for more blankets, since the ones on the bed were quite thin. The bed & pillows were ok. The showerhead was dirty looking.

Check in clerk was direct and almost gave a vibe that we were a nuisance. When we arrived at the desk he was sitting in the back office area with his feet propped up on the desk. The room was comfortable and it is always nice to have a refrigerator in the room. Breakfast was strictly continental. Room was clean and bathroom was well stocked with towels, and products. I would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay! The bed was the most comfortable I ever slept on. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again ! I only gave 4 stars because we were looking forward to using the pool but it was like ice water and having to go to first floor for ice was a little inconvenient. These were minor issues though as the overall comfort was great!

Weather outside was very cold and the room wasn't much warmer. No heat, toilet run all night, continental breakfast was a joke. Watery eggs, mini muffins, cold cereal. No warm food options. We checked out and went to another local hotel for remainder of our stay in town foer JMU graduation December 2022. Outdated furniture. Pictures online do not show in the actual rooms. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

If the elevator hadn't failed the day we checked out this rating would be a 5 star rating for sure. The staff was very helpful in getting our stuff from the 3rd floor to our car. An establishment such as this should have at least 2 working elevators to ensure guests were not inconvenienced.

Hotel is okay, not far from highway 81. A good stop for a night on the road. Price is good. We don't hear the traffic. We chose the Suites because more space ( sofa and place to put our suitcase). Bed comfy. It's not recent but clean. Breakfast included with the room. Not much choice, especially fruits. They have yogurt, juice, bagels, cereals. For dinner, go to the mexican bistro just on the corner, 5 minutes by foot... excellent.

Stop looking and book this hotel now!!! We travel ALOT for ball. And I mean a lot, every week. This is by far one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in. Beds were super comfortable. Breakfast selection was decent. Bri at check in was super sweet and accommodating. A lot of places to eat within walking distance. Hot water in the shower with great pressure which is always a plus:

I have stayed at quite a few hotels and this was one of the best. The room and bathroom were both very clean and tidy and the "jetter tub" was really nice (although it costs a little extra). It just had a nice cozy and comfy vibe. Also the front desk lady, Leslie, was very helpful. Overall a great experience, would definently take me and my girlfriend there again next time we are in the area, and need a place to stay.

Great place. Stayed here for a romantic get a way. Room was excellent and the staff was so friendly, didn't pass a staff member without them smiling and saying good morning or afternoon.

When I checked in around 9pm the guy was super helpful.good rates. But in the morning there was no breakfast at scheduled time and there was several keys and notes at the counter stating how no one was at the desk from 545am and when I checked out at 640 there was still no one there after I rang the bell.i had to write a note and take a video because I was uncomfortable with that situation as I had to leave and anyone could have took my keycard and damaged the room and it would have been my liability .

Friendly staff, extremely nice rooms, free continental breakfast. Love this hotel! We get a suite almost every time we go and it's always worth the money.
