Reserved a room a few weeks ago. When I went to see the room, I found that the bed covers had three large visible blood stains and had a heavy cigarette stench, even though I had reserved a non-smoking room. I asked to see another room and I was shown three others rooms that were in similar or worse conditions. I asked to see a room that had clean sheets and I was told that they didn’t have housekeeping. The receptionist I was speaking was extremely rude and unprofessional. She told me that I was expecting too much and that “they weren’t a Holiday Inn”. All that I wanted was a clean bed to sleep in after driving more many hours. At the end, I requested a refund and I had to pay a more expensive hotel because it was last minute reservation. Having to deal with the disrespectful staff and dirty rooms was very inconvenient. This location needs new management because the lobby was filled with people with similar issues. I’m typically not picky and I managed my expectations, however, I am not willing to be infected with a blood-borne pathogen due to the unsanitary conditions.

BEDBUGS AND DIRTY!!! While traveling from GA to PA, I stopped her for the night. Traveling just myself and dogs. Is a convenient stopping location but BEWARE! The walls were disgusting, splattered with all kinds of filth and I woke up with bites that could have only been bedbugs! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Walked into my room to wet carpet at the entrance, whole room had an overwhelming mildew smell. I asked for another room, they said no but that he would give me a refund. I agreed and went to the next Motel 6 (which was great by the way). It’s been over 2 weeks and I never got a refund. When I called he said they don’t do refunds and that i’d have to dispute the charge. That’s what I will be doing!!

Where do I start … first they place a $50 hold for trash service and room … I open door notice lock was destroyed basically asked in other hotel near by and cops are always at this place !! Looks like rooms been raided beds broken doors pushed open locks destroyed !!! I called management asked for another room bc bed would sink in and all you feel was hard wood on your back…. Manager said no more rooms I replied but bed is broken lock is broken what kinda place you running …. He said check out and get the fu@k out or I will call the police !! So he did and cops said it’s a private owned business and I had to pack my stuff and leave soooo few hotels over and meeting some locals I learned that cops are constantly there breaking doors down many fights disorderly people etc you name it can’t make it up do not stay with kids family elderly dogs etc not a safe place cops also told me they regularly there for worse things and manager is quik with his fingers to call 911 too bad I had to rate it with one start DANGEROUS PLACE TO STAY

I recommend everyone and anyone to stay at this motel. The service here is absolutely marvelous. The room is extremely clean, and very sanitized. The floor is extremely clean and I walked on it without no socks, and no shoes and didn’t get nothing on my feet. And I’m very very sensitive. I just want to thank the staff for giving me a beautiful room to stay in for the night. Thank you for your hospitality. It’s awesome. God bless y’all.

Better than many Motel 6 properties I've stayed in. The location is convenient, price is right, and the property is pleasant; it looks a lot like the older "road trip" motels you used to find everywhere, with all rooms on the ground floor. Helpful and friendly service, clean and comfortable room. I appreciated the presence of a fridge and microwave which many locations do not have. Would stay again any time.

The room they gave me had an awful overwhelming MILDEW smell. The AC had been leaking and soaking the carpet at the entrance for obviously a long time. I asked if I could move to another room and they refused. I had to leave to find another hotel after a long day of driving. I drive 1 hour north to another Motel 6 that is clean and not so smelly, I recommend you do the same! UPDATE: They are now refusing to give me a refund. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We stopped there back in February and loved it. On the travels this time, it was horrible. The 1st room we got had roaches in it. Asked for another room and a bag of dirty laundry was in the room. Called front desk and they said put it outside by the door. We were checked our bank account there was $300.00 taken out of our account for STOLEN DIRTY SHEETS they said we took. Who in their right mind would take dirty sheets? Not us. We will NEVER STAY again ever again.

Oh brother, where do I start. Attractive motel from outside. Easy registration in office. Location excellent from I-81. Gas station beside it, cracker barrel behind it. Room was dusted and floor clean. Since it was 39 degrees, heater turned on but sounded like Boeing 747, extremely noisy. Light in bathroom tied into exhaust fan, another noise level, sounded like car rumble which added to noise level. Towels and cloths need a good dose of chloral. Much conversation going on outside of room, maybe construction workers returning to sleep. Other side had older couple who snored which I could hear when silent in my room. Got limited amount of sleep that nite. Lastly got up next morning to find was bitten by bug on face. End of this story. Won't stay at another.

This place is a real gamble. On one side it is cheap, on the other side the only thing that was clean was the bedsheets. Old dirty rag in the sink, grease and crumbs on the stove top, bathroom floor was covered with a mysterious film, and shower was a little dirty but the hot water worked well!

Kay was very nice, as well as the cleaning team. Woman at the desk in the morning, was the exact opposite. She was extremely rude, had a huge attitude, and very inconsiderate (what happened to the customer is always right)!!! 3 stars on service because of everyone but the woman in the morning was pleasant. Sink was broken & leaking all over, fridge didn't work well, stains on the walls, bugs everywhere, and dust in some places. May not return. The only good thing was the location. Should have looked at the reviews here first, would have never booked!!!! The one in Staunton is 10x better, willing to pay a few extra bucks for it!!! Staying in Stauton next time!!!

The bathroom sink was clogged, barely letting the water go. The floor was not sparkling clean. The left over ice cream in the fridge was also not pushing towards my definition of good hygiene.

I am Retired after 25 years from working in the Hotel Industry for Customer Service. So I went to Give a Review 2 months ago. I Paid for a Night but I did not Stay. Customer Service is Lacking at this Motel 6 but I understand Why? This Motel had Gone From Beauty & Charm from being "The Grand Belle Meade Motel" and it's adjoining "Belle Meade Restaurant" back in 1980, To a Motel 6 Chain that brought this Hotel over/ around 2017 and a "Facelift" is badly Needed. The Faucets Drip, it's Extremely Noisy ( I could hear my neighbor), the Bathrooms ... Need a Good Scrubbing with Mr. Bubble's & the Beds are Too Hard. Motel 6 is Located in a Prime Location. Corporations, Like Motel 6, never Seem to View the Businesses and what They Can Bring in Only What Daily Business the Motel can Make. Times are Hard and LIFE is Wicked but If You want a 3* Motel then An Upgrade is needed here. Stay Happy @ Motel 6.

Ended up cancelling our reservation because staff would not change the bedding. Sheets had stains on them. Didn't try to make that big deal out of it, simply asked for new sheets so we could change them ourselves, but staff did not want to supply that. Was told "some stains just don't come out." Floors did not look completely swept up. There was debris along the walls. Room was non-smoking but did not really smell that way. Was faint but still present. Location of the motel is good but seems like it needs an update and new supplies.

Cheap place to lay your head. Good water pressure and hot. Bathroom was a bit nasty had to rewash the facet and sink. But the price and location were great. Coffee in the lounge in the AM but nothing else.

I'm in room 58 tonight and it's 12:16 a.m. when I walked in the door I turned on the exhaust fan in the bathroom immediately because the smell of cleaning supplies and incense was a little overpowering. As the room is getting sucked clear of the perfumey clean supplies and incense now I know why. It smells like a dog has been living in here for a month. There are warning signs at the front counter talking about a security deposit if a person brings a pet in here but I don't know what they do with the deposit because the place reeks of dog. I'm exhausted from driving straight from Houston Texas all the way up here in one shot and still taking time to leave this review instead of getting a couple more minutes of sleep. I mean it's only $106 a night tonight but this is what I would expect a $65 a night hotel room to smell like. The shower was very hot in a good way, the tile floors and tile walls in the bathroom and main sleeping areas are very acceptable, there are stains on all of the bedding except for the sheets and pillows. There were stains on the washed white shower towels as well. Kind of gross y'all. I don't feel like I will leave here with a case of the bedbugs at least but there's absolutely no chance I would ever stay here again or probably at any motel 6 now for that matter. If my wife had been here with me on this trip I guarantee you we would not be staring here tonight. She would make me sleep in the truck with her.

Location was good simply for a night after driving. So much noise from people in the room upstairs- constant noise and banging around ALL NIGHT so almost no sleep, not comfortable beds at all, very firm! Room was clean so that’s good. Great water pressure in the shower. Absolutely no one around until 7am to check out so we had to leave the key card by the door and call them when they opened. Makes me wonder what you’d do if you had an emergency in the room or something because there is zero overnight customer service. I won’t return, but it may be okay for someone else.

Food crusted on bedspreads. Someone needs to inspect housekeepers work. Constant noise after midnight til 6 am.

Great motel! Our room was clean and roomy. This is the second time we have stayed here… purely by accident… but this was to our favor. Not a single complaint from us. Our fur babies also enjoyed the night.

Honestly, really great for the price. I did so much research and reading of reviews... and it seems hotels in general have really gone down hill in quality. But we just needed a place for the night that allowed dogs and this place met the mark. Room was clean & there were enough grassy spots to relieve dogs. It was fully booked the night we stayed and some people hanging outside, but no excessive noise and it felt safe. Convenient location!

It may not be a Hilton, but it's clean, roomy, and has good upkeep. That's better than a lot of motels in this price range. Pet friendly too. What I'm looking for is a clean room, a comfortable bed , working TV, and feeling safe. Got all that staying at this Motel 6. I will stay here again.

The room clearly was never cleaned. All they did was remake the bed. Sheets and pillows are covered with stains and dog hair. Floors were probably cleaned back in 2010. This place takes the cake for grossest. Avoid.

Just remember you get what you pay for. Not everything is about saving on cash. I Appreciate the convenience of last minute booking in terms of price and also the location close to the highway exit. However, This place is probably only good for single males who smoke. NON-SMOKING room was clearly not that. I had to dress up in my car coz I don’t smoke and my clothes would have had smoke residue by morning if I was to keep them in the room. Having to sleep in so much smoke residue is not healthy. So if u have asthma or any breathing issues, this is not safe place for u. Also not safe to make this stop with a child.

This place should have zero stars. We stayed here for JMU family weekend. I knew this was not going to be a luxury hotel, but I had no idea how disgusting this would be. Worst place I have ever stayed in. I am not super picky, but expect it to be clean. We got there and the room had a terrible smell. Quilt on bed was stained with holes. Blanket beneath also had holes. How difficult would it be to have clean linens on the bed? The lighting makes you feel like you are in a police interrogation room. Do not stay here. I repeat, do not stay here. You have been warned! These five star reviews must be fake. We ended up driving home at 11pm on Saturday night so we wouldn’t have to spend another night here.

I don’t think the sheets were washed. There were multiple black hairs on both beds. The pillow had a big coffee (?) stain on it. Disgusting. Room was disgusting and was never cleaned.

Not the typical motel 6, although the rooms are a step up from the newer motel 6, these are, somewhat showing the age and lack of maintenance. Unpatched hole in the wall, sliding window bent so it won't latch closed and no doorknob on bathroom door. However it's clean and comfortable enough I am staying 2 night's, comfortable mattress and tv is respectful size.

I was on the road and I got extremely sick. I called and they answered my questions very well. Check in was smooth. The man was very kind at check in. The room was basic but well taken care of. Clean and had great food options. For being close to a busy highway it was nice and quiet. I would recommend it if you are just looking for a basic room for a good price.

I didn't want to do this post. We just wanted to place to sleep after a long drive. But the rooms condition just didn't cut it. Upon walking in the floor was soaked and I mean soaked with whatever they mopped the floor with. And the cleaner smell was so strong it burned my throat. The amount of dust in the room was horrible. Small pieces of glass in the chair that you sit at with the desk. Hair on the pillow which caused me to check the whole bed and feeling unsure if it's clean. I turned on the shower to take a shower and the tub was filling with water and wouldn't drain. And there's this dampness in the whole room. I've been to several Motel 6 and this location has been the worst.

We were tired! Long traveling time. Stopped in, got checked in so fast I thought we were denied! Nope! Got in the room, was very satisfied. It was clean and although it's not the Hilton, it was worth every dollar! We would stay again - if we make this trip again! If you are traveling through, they are pet friendly, respectful, kind, clean, and you sleep good!

We had booked our room a month ago-we drove me and my Husband all the way from Tennessee,when we arrived there was a sign on the door and we tried to open the and door was locked- I saw an old man sleeping and another young guy with him - I tried to knock many times but for some reason the young guy decided to go to the back and ignore me. Very horrible and strange behavior happened at this motel 6- very disappointed.

I think the 3.4 star reviews are fake. We weren’t expecting much for a 2 star hotel but the first room we were given was literally falling apart. The door frame was broken, furniture chipped, walls chipped, absolutely filthy condition with hair on the dirty bed. Second room was a little better but not by much. The bed spread was dirty, hair in the bathtub, and the sink was stained. Also bath water came out brown when I turned the bathtub faucet on. If you have no standards this place will be fine for you. The photos are of the second “updated” room we were given.

We were having some car problems and needed a place to stay while we got it fixed and they let us check in early with no extra charge, which was very nice. The first room we got wasn't ready, but the staff quickly fixed their mistake and gave us a room that was ready right away. We were very satisfied.

Wifi is terrible the front desk during the day was confused that I wanted my $50 deposit back I did get it but you have a sign saying cash requires a deposit and you don't know this? No mini shampoo or conditioner. The room was clean enough,beds were clean and comfortable.

Room clean, walls thin, need comfy. Sounded like a party to our left- lots talking, tv blasting.Sheets were dirty- black short hair on sheets and dirty spots- our hair is silver and gray. Booked through booking. Com and got two confirmations- hotel had no record of my reservation. Not what you want to hear after driving 10 hours.

This motel was absolutely disgusting. The room smelled incredibly awful and the bed linens even worse. As a pet friendly room, I expect staff to go beyond normal cleaning procedures to ensure it’s cleaned and disinfected properly. The toilet reeked of urine and the bathroom mirror was not cleaned. The only good thing about this place is that the desk clerk was super polite. For a smidge more, rent a room at The Village Inn. If traveling with pets, their fee is quite reasonable. It’s unfortunate I learned of The Village Inn after my stay at Motel 6, but hoping to save others the misfortune and the horrible conditions at this particular Motel 6. Avoid this place at all costs.

The woman at the front desk was nice but the room was in such a poor state. I don't think anyone came in after the guest before us. When we entered the room, the bed was unmade (presumably unwashed bedding) the trash was full, towels on the bathroom floor, used bar soap on the sink, tv on. The door appeared to be kicked in previously with trim missing, safety latch gone, gaps between the door and the trim that remained. There was another untouched bed in the room we were able to use as we were too tired to complain. Pretty sure it was the last room available anyway. The area was loud between the traffic and other guests, and I didn't feel particularly safe there either.

No negatives. We had a nice quick stay and everything was clean enough for me and my partner to feel comfortable throughout the night. Would consider again if nearby.
