It was good for what we paid (decent value). The gym, pool and jacuzzi were all closed, which probably would have led me to look elsewhere if I had known ahead of time. The hotel hallways could use new carpeting, but the lobby area was in decent shape. I was under the impression there was a warm breakfast included, but it was a cold, bagged breakfast of yogurt, apple, granola bar and cereal for the kids. The employees were good/helpful/pleasant. The room was good and the beds were comfortable. The location/convenience was also good.

Of the two staff I interacted with, one was helpful and knowledgeable while the other was incompetent. I was given room keys to a room that was occupied, and despite walking back to the front desk THREE times to let the desk person know that the key didn't work AND that there was a "Privacy Please" hanger on the door, she only conceded it was occupied when the actual occupant of the room answered the door (very angrily blaming me). I was then given a second room and was asked to leave because it was "the wrong room" but luckily the helpful of the two front desk members allowed me to stay. Keep in mind that of the group I was with, I was one of three people that had to move rooms. It is not a secure feeling knowing that staying at a Best Western means that rooms are not assigned and the staff gives keys to random rooms without knowing that they are occupied. I will never stay at a Best Western again

I stood here for 3 nights while visiting family and had a ok experience. The front lobby was very clean, the front desk were always nice and friendly. I always bring my own cleaning supplies to clean anyways, but was impressed with how clean the room was. The hallways had a weird smell. The hot breakfast was not all that good, but it was nice that they offered it. Never had issues with noise from other rooms. The only big con was that people were always hanging out by the entrances at every time of the day…. Especially at night time, which is kind of weird and spooky. Today before checking out some lady was screaming down the halls yelling at the staff. Usually I wouldn’t care about that but I have a two year old daughter.

The worst place to stay!! There was vomit in the coffee maker, the room was disgusting and not cleaned at all. The manager wouldn’t come in to the room to see the throw up on the floor.

Hotel itself is solid. It is an older building but is fairly well maintained. The room was clean and everything worked as they should. Bed was comfortable and clean and spacious. The breakfast was solid with lots of options. The check in process was slow however as we had to call someone because no one was at the desk. They did not honor the price match that was accepted online. The hotel claimed they never got it. It took several days for them to finally acknowledge the situation and refund the difference. It is also in a terrible area and there has been numerous reviews of cars getting tires taken or other parts. There were homeless people walking around, picking up bottles and talking to themselves. The night before we left there was a room down the hall that was yelling and playing loud music. Even the front desk acknowledged the volume that night. At least it didn't affect our sleep too much. I don't know if I would stay here again or not. The hotel itself is good and the price is good for this class of hotel but everything else needs a lot of work.

As a Diamond member this hotel was disappointing. Loud air conditioner. Barely was able to sleep at night. Noisy humming sounds came from toilet when tank was filling. Hallway from elevator to room was disgusting with a horrible odor of skunk. The breakfast was disgusting. If you like fake eggs then that’s a 5 star. The best part of the breakfast was the prepackaged muffin and yogurt. Pancake machine didn’t work and no fresh fruit. This is on a Saturday at 9am already out of food!!!! I questioned the help and they said the breads and bagels are frozen and there working on the hot food. Very sad that I’m paying for this breakfast and have to go somewhere else to eat.

Dirty!! Good thing I carry Lysol wipes. Between the half inch thick grime on the tv stand & the desk, & the mold on the ac unit… I think corporate needs to come visit & spend some time here.

This hotel was further away from the city than it appeared on a map but we went in anyway. It started with a normal check in but the bad vibe began once we got in a rickety old elevator that I prayed would make it to the 3rd Flr! The room was drab & dreary. The bed was soft & pillows even softer (& I mean flattened out with no support!) - next was the annoying sound in the bathroom - went in to assess & we weren’t sure if it was a fan or water running from another room but it ran constantly. We tried to shrug it off & carry on but then the shower head itself was so high and forceful, was difficult to adjust & challenging just to take a quick shower. I’ll end by saying there was a breakfast in the morning but no utensils!! You just can’t eat eggs or cereal with no utensils!! I went to the desk to inquire - no one was there - finally someone sauntered out adjusting his beanie & after I kindly mentioned there were no utensils, without a word he turned & went away!! Needless to say no utensils ever came & we had to miss out on breakfast! In conclusion, we expected more from a Best Western but sorry to say in my opinion, this hotel was terrible.

Check in was easy. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean and small after a remodel. No fan with a vent that was pushing hot air was a bit different. The room was quiet overnight. We didn't use the breakfast option but other guests seemed to be enjoying it. If we head back to the area we'll stay here again.

The best part about our stay were the staff! They were so very nice and extremely sweet and helpful! It is also easy to find and super close to downtown Hartford, easy on/off highway access. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was ok. Unfortunately, there were a few issues. The phone did not have a working button to reach the front desk. I had to walk down to ask my questions (at least I got some steps in!). The bathroom had really bad flickering lights. The coffee pods did not fit the coffee maker, so we couldn't use it. Tissue dispenser was empty. The couch felt like hard styrofoam with fabric. It was really tricky getting the bag cart to fit in/out of the elevator. Lastly, I overheard someone at breakfast mentiin someone tried stealing the tires off their car overnight, so I suggest parking close/near the front entrance! Overall, its not a bad place for a quick 1 night stay, but not for extended amount of time.

Great peaceful place at times. The easy access to highway, gas station, fast food. Very comfortable rooms. Some of The front desk staff can be inappropriate and alil silly at times with their open conversations with each other in front of customers. It might be convenient that Some of the staff are living at the hotel. the breakfast is good. Housekeeping is great. Maintenance is fast. Always cluttered parking in front of hotel. ATM and washing machine out of order. Nice personal work out room. Ms Irene is the best

Rooms and surroundings were clean, comfortable, and quiet. Interstate is easily accessible for trips to airport and downtown Hartford. Staff were nice enough but slow and minimally courteous; did not say much and took a long time to check us in. Breakfast was disappointing. Most of the food was gone/out when I first came down to eat, so I had to wait while they made more. Strangely, they had almost none of the items they advertised having or usually provide (e.g. toast, bagels, muffins, pancakes, etc). All I ended up getting was a small cup of oatmeal, a sausage patty, and small fruit cup; I had to take extra because there were so few items available (which then took away food from other guests). Overall the hotel itself is totally fine but the customer service leaves something to be desired.

Lots of both good and bad about this hotel. First off, Stephanie at the front desk was awesome. Breakfast was decent other than no waffles. Everything else was pretty much bad. My room was not cleaned properly, as there was trash left from the previous tenent, although I just cleaned up and didn't mention it. When I pulled back the covers, there was no fitted sheet. Asked the guy at the desk and he said "sorry, they're all dirty"... whatever, I'll sleep on top of the flat for the night. Next day, still no fitted sheet. I asked for one at the desk, and she said she'd look for one but I never heard back. Next night, still nothing. Asked Stephanie, and she at least attempted to find one. After bringing me 2 different sheets, we realized they didn't have a fitted sheet to fit my bed 🙄. The shower head was DISGUSTING! The shower curtain was not water resistant AT ALL and I completely flooded the bathroom during my first shower, and it took every towel and rag they supplied to clean it up. The toilet ran all day and all night. The bed and pillows were decent, and I slept pretty well on them, but that was one of the very few good things about the place.

This is my go-to hotel when I need to relax by the pool, The staff are very nice, helpful and friendly, I go because of the pool and the workout room it might be small but no ones ever in it so its peaceful and quiet. It's a good vibe.

This hotel is very rundown & cheap. Needs upgrading bad. Bathroom door is falling apart. Breakfast was subpar at best. Should have been half the price, especially for a weeknight. It did the trick and I got sleep but it smelled. I would not recommend + it's not near much.

First impressions are everything. No trash cab outside at all. 3 woman behind the desk at 1230 pm and not one smile. How are you? They acted as if I was invisible. I guess they can’t see you tell 3 pm. Then their eye sight works.

This hotel I didn’t stay at because I thought the price was a bit high for the accommodations. It is probably a lower tier motel but it has mid tier prices. The place was clean but it wasn’t very modern and the amenities were average. The front desk person was kind, but the patrons… not so much.

The hotel is perfectly fine. It's not fancy, but not a disaster like I read on some of the reviews. The breakfast was actually pretty good- there was eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes and other pastries and juice, etc. The room could have been a bit cleaner though and the air conditioning made the whole room damp. All in all, it was okay.

Bed bugs 😞 Huge-size bed bugs. I’m so glad we noticed them before spending the night. Staff gave us a full refund, but still an awful experience for us and our kids, since we were sitting on the beds for a while, and then saw three of them crawl out like spiders. Hotel is extremely dirty and run down. It doesn’t even look like a BW! Should be closed down, remodeled and cleaned from top to bottom, then reopen to the public. Extremely disappointed!!

This may be the worse Best Western I have ever been in. There are cigarette butts and litter all over the back entrance, and the back door that should be entry by key only was obviously broken. I did not feel very safe here. The hallway carpets are very worn and smelly.

Pro: receptionist was fast and efficient, room was clean, bed was comfortable. Con; I burned and froze everytime I got in the shower. Water temperature had a sudden change to hot or cold probably based on what others were doing with their water in their room. Air was stuffy and cold in the room and turning the AC off didn't help ecause the vent in the bathroom was constantly sucking the cold air from hallway in and could not be turned off. Opening the window will help and you can put the instruction sheet on the vent when you need to turn it off. It will stay there. We skipped the breakfast. Didn't look good.

It’s shabby, dirty, although the cleaning staff try, but can’t fix structural problems. The place just smells horrible. Facilities that they advertise are not there, such as a pool and from what the desk clerk told me, not operational since the start of Covid, despite advertising on the Best Western website and aggregators like Hotwire that they have a pool. When I expressed my annoyance to the desk clerk, he offered to have the manager call me. That never happened. What could this person do anyhow, but offer an insincere apology that has likely been recited hundreds of times. In my first room, there were plumbing problems causing the toilet to require multiple flushes and the wouldn’t drain. Of course, when there are problems, trivial problems seem even more annoying like the broken pancake maker and the lack or orange juice at breakfast and cable TV outages. Some of the things could be overlooked, but the pool issue is pretty much a dealbreaker, because it was a factor in choosing the place. Like others, we chose this facility for it. I could have stayed closer to the reason for being in town, but chose somewhere out of the way. It’s insulting to insist to clients that they have to call the facility to confirm that website information is indeed accurate. Truth in advertising matters. In this case, the hotel owner deliberately deceived clients. The only good thing about the place is that it isn’t very busy.

Just a weekend getaway also had an event to attend. I called on July 16 and asked about the hours of the pool arrived July 22nd to check in and was told the pool was temporarily closed with no reason given. The whole weekend was almost 100 degrees. The hotel not having a pool is a deal breaker for me. Service was decent and the room was decent. Best Western Customer Care over the phone was not a good customer service experience. Just unfair for that to happen to people.

Price listed was $251 and I would never pay more than $65 for the room… except I was duped and paid $115 with tax on Priceline. Very old building (says Days Inn on Google so it was “remodeled” and turned into a BW, very stinky, humid and outdated place. Carpet is terrible. The deodorizer they put in the room is burning my nose as I write this.. it smells like the strawberry can that you open just a little bit and put under your car seat. Ugh. Terrible tub- stained, dirty, water mixer barely worked. Bed is comfy and Juan at the front desk was very nice. Fingers crossed no bed bugs. Yeesh.

Entrance and staff nice. Side and rear entrance totally different atmosphere. I took the monetary loss and stayed elsewhere.

It's a little out of the way if you are relying on public transportation (which DOES NOT come near here on Sundays and Holidays). Other than that, it's pretty much what you would expect from any other Best Western. Clean rooms, friendly staff, etc.

My friends and I had checked in right around 4 pm Friday night. Our room was a suite with a queen bed and queen pull out. When we got upstairs, there was no bedding for the pull out and there were random items left by who I assumed was a past occupant. We called the front desk and asked if we could have bedding brought up to our room. A little bit later, after we had all gone to the bathroom after our 5 hour drive, the toilet starting making a loud noise. After checking in the top we saw the chain had come off and the bowl wouldn’t fill with water or flush. We again called the desk and let them know about the toilet and again asked about the bedding. The front desk attendant was very short and told us they were the only one working at the moment and she would bring the bedding up when she could, saying nothing about the toilet not working. We went out for the night and we got back around 11:00 pm, we asked again at the desk about the toilet and the bedding and were told they’d bring up the bedding (again no comment on us not having a working toilet). The bedding was finally brought up around 11:30 pm (7.5 hours after initially asking), so we decided to just sleep. If we had to go the bathroom we went down to the lobby and use the restroom there. The next morning around 7:30 am, we stop at the desk on the way to the breakfast room and again let them know our toilet still needed fixed. We again were told they were the only one working and they’d try to get it fixed. We again went out for the day returning at 4:00 pm to a different attendant, who said “we don’t have maintenance after 3:00 pm”. I let them know I told 2 people within the past 24 hours about this problem. She then let us know she would be sending a housekeeper upstairs “to look at it”. The housekeeper was the only good employee there and was very kind, he reached into the bowl, pulling the chain out and got it back on, but warned us to flush gently. So after 24 hours with no toilet, we could finally relieve ourselves in our room. The next morning we checked out and again were greeted with nothing but rudeness. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Every employee other than Trey (the housekeeper) was rude and unhelpful and none of them wore name tags. The customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced and if I could give it 0 stars I would.
