Please
do
NOT
seek
medical
attention
at
this
place
My
son
was
attending
college
in
Massachusetts.
He
started
having
weird
chest
pain
and
was
diagnosed
with
a
heart
issue.
Because
of
his
college
status
he
was
covered
for
health
insurance.
He
left
college
due
to
his
heart
issue
and
the
stress
of
college.
He
recently
relocated
to
Connecticut.
He
no
longer
has
health
insurance
because
he
relocated
and
is
no
longer
in
college.
You
know
that
catch
22
for
a
24yo.
He
has
sought
medical
attention
at
St.
Francis
three
times
since
he
relocated
to
Connecticut
.
Last
Saturday
was
his
most
recent
visit
toSt.
Francis,
for
chest
pain.
He
checked
in
with
the
medical
secretary
complaining
of
chest
pain.
She
told
him
that
he
would
have
to
wait
because
this
was
his
third
visit
to
St.
Francis.
She
totally
dismissed
his
pain
and
the
distress
that
he
was
exhibiting
because
of
the
pressure
he
was
experiencing.
She
proceeded
to
argue
with
him.
She
documented
his
reason
for
the
hospital
visit
as
anxiety.
They
also
lost
his
driver's
license
during
this
visit.
There
is
no
age
limit
when
it
comes
to
a
parenting.
Because
I
wanted
to
limit
my
son's
stress
due
to
him
still
experiencing
mild
chest
pain,
I
told
him
I
would
contact
the
hospital
on
his
behalf
with
him
on
the
call.
I
was
greeted
with
"St.
Francis."
I
said
with
whom
am
I
speaking
to?
You
are
talking
with
operator
number
3.
I
replied
"Oh
wow
ok."
I
explained
that
my
son
was
recently
seen
in
the
ED
on
Saturday
and
was
not
given
his
driver's
license
back.
I
was
then
transferred
3
times,
Kamila,
Becky
and
finally
to
Carolyn.
I
explained
the
dilemma
to
Carolyn
who
stated
she
would
look
in
the
lost
and
found
box
and
call
me
back.
She
called
back
within
5-7
minutes
stating
she
was
not
able
to
find
his
driver's
license.
I
inquired
if
he
would
be
compensated
for
the
cost
of
obtaining
a
new
driver's
license.
She
stated
there
was
nothing
she
could
do
about
it.
I
pretty
much
ended
the
call.
This
has
to
be
the
WORST
hospital
in
America.
Let's
get
started
on
what
needs
to
be
addressed.
If
a
patient
comes
into
the
ED
complaining
of
chest
pain
the
first
action
is
to
get
that
patient
to
the
triage
area
to
obtain
vitals
and
be
assessed
.You
never
argue
with
a
patient
about
how
many
times
they
have
sought
medical
attention.
Let's
move
on
to
greeting
without
providing
a
name
and
your
department?
WOWwwww,
training
on
hospital
etiquette
is
needed.
The
whole
transfer
game
is
ridiculous!
Training/
re-education
on
who
works
in
what
department
with
title
and
roles
are
needed
there.
The
lack
of
empathy
these
employees
has
displayed
is
a
reflection
of
the
hospital.
Losing
someone's
driver's
license
and
being
nonchalant,
well
that
just
means
you
suck
as
a
human
being,
there
is
no
fixing
that.
The
appropriate
response
should
have
been
"
I
am
truly
sorry
this
happened
to
you.
I
will
contact
Jane
Doe
to
see
how
the
hospital
can
compensate
you
for
your
loss.
Someone
will
contact
you
with
information
on
how
to
move
forward."
Throw
away
this
whole
organization
and
start
all
over
again.
Its
hard
to
comprehend
that
a
whole
organization
lacks
hospital
etiquette.
The
bizarre
thing
is
the
medical
facility
is
not
large,
it
only
has
617
beds.
One
would
assume
being
such
a
small
medical
facility
they
would
provide
exceptional
care.
