    This place is a big joke! What's with no breasts and wings?Luckily they had tenders, I was quite disappointed thinking they had their menu had wings and breasts. The tenders were good! It may be a long time if I ever eat here. The last time I ate a CHURCH'S was in Kansas City four years ago, never had a complaint about that place.

    The cashier was rude and argumentative. She short changed me and there was another customer that came in to complain about not getting the correct change. The cashier refused to tell me the options between spicy or original chicken and she became very aggressive saying you better ask cause I ain’t telling you nothing. Not knowing if I ever been to Churches before and what type of chicken they serve. She was taking the orders and making biscuits and fixing the orders and the line was long as train smoke. Needless to say that I will never eat at the location ever again. The manager was aware and did nothing to make corrections. This was the worst church’s experience I have ever had. The chicken was good but not good enough for me to return for such poor customer service.

    Food was Hot and fresh but to wait in line for over an hour is insanely nut's. It makes no since to have the closed and still extremely slow service with out no crew. Please Hire more people's and have a special team for the takeout doordash etc orders. It makes no sense as a customer you have us waiting to get soured it spoiled food I will Never order Cajun Rice again! Just spoiled. lucky I was too far to return.

    Always under staffed, don't even acknowledge customers at the drive-thru you have to go inside. Purchased 3 orders, the 2 piece white was cold and dry & the 2 piece dark was not cooked inside and my family thew it in the garbage, if we lived close we would have taken it back. A total Waste of Money, the Okra and Fries were the only fresh items.

    Takes too long for orders in a dangerous environment. You can sit in the drive thru for over 30 minutes at a time. Always runs out of white meat. Quality is on a steep decline. Would not recommend.

    This Chicken tease like chemicals that are poisonous and should not be consumed. Lines are too long for this nasty food. Unseasoned chicken that taste disgusting . Save your money after remodeling and new staff. This what they give us.

    So I gotta sit in a damn line for 30+ minutes that’s only got one car ahead of me just for my mf fries to feel like they took an ice bath. Yeah $50. For this??

    Friendly staff but the restaurant is not clean. The tables where no one is suppose to sit was covered with scraps of food and flies were all over there. I think they are under staffed but one person left after shift but should've wiped the tables and did some exit work. Being in the hospitality industry makes you notice these things and how protocols aren't followed without proper shift leads. I decided not to order and left

    Long wait so I hopped in line to see what all the hype was about. Observed the fry cook handling the pressure and was amazed with the volume of guest-HE HAD PLENTY OF CHICKEN KOODOS TO THE COOK… Food delicious could’ve been a tad bit hotter… Service needs restructuring. I don’t have anything bad to say although I witnessed bad things happening service-wise… this visit could’ve been perfect! Hopefully someone in corporate sees this review and offer management training and customer service with speed training…work on scheduling and deployment. The employees all appear to be hustling solo but not together as a team and cracking under pressure. The cooks calamity hustle and availability is THE ONLY REASON I STAYED. I will be back… hopefully the team is better trained by then…oh and add a few chairs to sit in while we wait I’m disabled and the wait wayyyyy to long for seniors and elderly which was about 60% of the long line waiting-Thanks

    This place has been my favorite place to go but unfortunately this place is gonna be closed til the remodel is over. The food is worth the wait though. Top five chicken places in my opinion!

    Chicken was tasty crispy and yes a bit greasy. It was to my liking and I enjoyed it along with the okra. However, the place could use some deep cleaning. Floor was terribly sticky icky and and so many side items they were out of. My cashier was wonderful. Older dark skinned lady with I belive was wearing a loc hair style. Place could probably also use better management.

    Just terrible waited in drive threw for 40 mins and then she talking to everyone in the back ground and not talking to me and then they argue about if they had Fried Okra or not then they finally came up with that they do , inside crowded and parking lot . just slow as ever it’s like where is the new management at????

    The food was wonderful. But the service was extremely slow. People still on the inside when the doors were suppose to be locked. The lady in the drive thru didn't know how to calculate our order right. But overall the chicken was hot and ready..

    Visited here at lunchtime which was a mistake. I guess the cashier was training but it clearly was not the right time for this. She rang my order up wrong. While waiting for white meat the manager realized I wasn't charged enough and wanted to charge another $5 bringing my total for two 2 pc combos and a small okra to $30. Not in this lifetime will I pay that much for average chicken and substandard service. I got a refund but reordered one combo for my brother. He said the food was just okay. Another customer demanded his $30+ back as well due to the drive thru lady having a bad attitude. Average food and horrible service seems to be the norm for most establishments nowadays.

    Drive thru is more like a sit and wait. 30 mins. Ridiculous. Placed my order got home no okra. The window employee told them 3 times. So I received chicken no $5 okra that I paid for. Just horrible service.

    Food was ok, the amount of time it takes to get your food is average considering how many people are lined up for it. I will admit it was piping hot when I received my order, but it's not better than popeyes to be completely honest. They do offer some specials unlike popeyes, with that being said be prepared to wait a minimum of 20 minutes to get your food.

    I enjoyed my meal from Churches but was disappointed in the service.. First, they closed the dining room at 8pm and offered only drive-thru service. Secondly, they were out of spicy chicken and the dessert pies. Last but not least, one what was a very hot and humid day, they were out of ice...OUT OF ICE! I understand that the supply chain is out of whack right now but this was a bit much. The Texas Barbeque was really good Based! It was nicely seasoned and the skin was crispy. What a pleasant surprise! Based on the quality of the food that I did get, I would go back.

    They just reopened this for what I don’t understand 15 to 30 minute wait to order. the order menu is completely pitch black and had to wait another 15 to receive the food you can smell the burnt grease my food then comes I bite the chicken and it’s burnt the most nastiest taste in my life I won’t be back to this location 😡😡😡😡

    Church’s has always been my best choice as long as the chicken was straight out the fryer. Hot! But this Church’s has the most ignorant staff. In addition grease is not filtered and cleaned which screws up the chicken. Also what is Church’s “Texas” Chicken. New name? Also the recipe must have changed. Not the same taste Church’s is known for. The one on 71st and Stoney Island sucks too! The one in Harvey was shut down I guess for being nasty. Church’s died when whoever bought it and let it go to hell. Shame.

    I love church's chicken. I've been eating at the Harvey illinois one for more then 30 years. I know they've been closed for almost a year remodeling. I went with family last week once I found out they reopened. I ordered a family size. I wanted to make sure that Their was Breast pieces of chicken in my order and the lady who took my order said "yes" it also came with 2 sides and 5 biscuits. I don't live close by. When we got home I had no Breast pieces like I was told and paid 4. I also did not got any biscuits which i also paid 4... I was not happy at all... I called ther3 several times immediately and Noone answered. I called several times the next 2 days trying 2 get the food I had ordered and not given. And Noone ever answers. No matter what time of the day.. I love this chicken. But I hope this isn't an indication of how the new church's will be ran. I sat in the drive thru line for 55 mins waiting.. I will go back and try again and will take my receipt and tell management about my last goof up order. I hope they fixed this.. i would be a shame if they don't

    It was really gd! I got my lady a 2 pics mixed with dark meat. I got 2 biscuits and an order of fried okra. We stay in the drive thru for more than 35 minutes but it was worth it! I would highly recommend this establishment!

    Ever since they opened it back again I’ve eaten it 3 times. All those times it really messed my stomach up. Just don’t learn my lesson but for sure would be my last time EVER eating church’s chicken in my whole life.

    I haven't eaten here in years. This particular location was closed for remodeling, and recently reopened. It's was busy before, and has increased it's footprint in the neighborhood. I mentioned the info above to set the stage. I drive by this location often since I live in a neighboring suburb. I finally decide to stop here before going to work. What I walked into was both interesting, hilarious, and disturbing. I was tempted to get the 10 piece dark for $13.99, but I couldn't remember if the chicken was actually good. I ended up with the number 2, the 3 legs and/or thighs combo original with a side and drink. Prior to me ordering one of the staff mentioned that there would be a 15 minute wait on chicken. Approximately 13mins later the chicken comes up and women ahead of me are openly complaining. They start giving out their orders, and the complaints ensue directly at the employees. I patiently waited for my turn and food while more people continued to pour in. Between the walk-ins, drive thru, and Door dash and Uber eats orders were hectic. 8 orders passed out, and I'm still waiting after another 10 mins. Finally I'm asked what I ordered(which tells me it was kicked out of their queue). Then I waited another 3 mins for them to make my order. While my drink was being made the young lady spilled about a third of it and the ice on the table. Then picked it back up put the lid on, and attempted to hand it to me. I simply asked could she remake it, and she acted as if she didn't hear me and said "What"? I repeated my request and she stared at me, then begrudgingly remade the drink. I haven't had, in person face to face customer service this bad in over a decade. The food itself was not worth the mediocre experience in a nicer building. To anyone tempted to go here after the recent remodel. I highly suggest staying in your car, and using the drive thru to minimize contact with the up front workers. The workers in the back seem nice, though sadly are obviously overwhelmed and under appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

    I ordered a simple two piece dinner and all my food was Cool. I’m so disappointed Yo pay for my food and bite into some cold chicken and mashed potatoes. as a black ppl why would y’all serve your community some cold food?! absolute laziness and they don’t care about the customers. I got a refund tho and i won’t be returning not recommending. Do better!

    Will not patronize this location any longer. If you go inside, expect to wait 10 mins to get your order placed and another 20+ mins to get your food. No one has a sense of urgency and the lobby is packed due to the slow service. The drive through is no better. I ordered food with 2 cars in front of me, 20 mins later I finally made it to the window, 5 mins later they took my money, 12 mins after that I finally got my food. It was hot, but wasn't worth the wait. Over cooked, and the biscuit was hard as a brick. This was to be my lunch at work. Every trip here falls into this same mold inside or outside. Save yourself the aggravation and cook at home or grab a burger instead.

    They customer service at 159th Halsted in Harvey,IL was unprofessional and not customer friendly especially young lady taking taking orders we waited in drive thru for 15 minutes to order aftershe said pull up to drive up to window we wait and waited her response im taking orders and mind you we was there before customer orders she was taking orders for
