They have got huge menu of dishes and drinks which kinda surprised me, they have got good cuisine. The food they served was really delicious with perfect quantity. It could be said they have good ambience too and waiters are always at your service. The only thing that disappointed me was some of the drinks in menu were not available... Well everything on the menu sure was bit on the expensive side.

Smoking room exhaust was not working , as per manager it works only few hours in a day. Room and washroom were dirty. Service was fine and quick.

The price is minimal and we booked this place as we were just transiting through for the night. We expected the place to be clean and the staff to show some emotions. The rooms were in pathetic condition, the bedsheets and towels had multiple brown stains. The bathrooms were not cleaned. The ac was full of dirt and needs a good servicing. The bfast, they served us old idlis and old bread. Overall I suggest u find another place to stay, preferably a place thats cleaner with friendlier staff!

Overall: Good place to stay. How to reach: It was earlier known as The Southern Star. The name was changed in Jan 2023. However the neon sign has not changed yet. So auto drivers and locals didn't know this place by name. Room: The rooms are clean and have a carpet in the room. The room has a working table, fridge, overpriced snacks, tap water, mineral water, shower head, toiletries, etc. TV needs Hindi and English channel subscriptions. Service: The staff knows Kannada, Hindi and English. They were quick and polite.

Cigarette smell was overpowering in the room. No other room given for replacement (busy day). Problem is they have NO proper mechanism to separate smoking and non smoking rooms. Staying with a 2yr old kid amidst so much cigarette smell is the modern definition of hell. Will never visit again.

Booked a premier room for a day. The room was worse than a slum with disgusting smell. No room service is available (as they do not pick up the calls to reception or house keeping). Food was 3rd class with 5 star prices. They have just sent one plate and refused to give an additional plate. Do not book a room at this place

Nice hotel with decent amenities. Breakfast was basic stuff, only eggs in non veg. Dinner was okay too ,pretty spicy food. Room was good ,but electric kettle.was not cleaned, TV had no remote etx. But service was prompt and good.

Worst room ever full of mosquitoes .Ac is not working properly . N adequate beds . Can’t sleep for one day also . Bt place of location is very gud . . I request plz do pesticide.

Located at a prime location. Good food. Rooms are okay. I’d not call it a 3 star hotel though. Checkin took some time. Ac wasn’t working and washrooms are old. Since it’s an old hotel, all the plug points were loose / not working. Would recommend another 3 star hotel if possible. Overall an okay stay.

A good hotel for mutton dishes. You must try mutton dishes here. Service is average and is a quiet place amidst the city.

Very poor service from Hotel Southern Star, General Manager very poor towards customer care, Front desk also very poor in solving customer issues. Bedroom pillow covers not changing regularly, Used water glasses not getting cleaned, broken commode, Leaking old taps..... Even after advance booking hotel room ...They delayed check in 45 mins .....All these issues. If customer ask for favourite TV channels to subscribe, The GM of hotel talking disrespectfully and no manners towards customer and customer service. Never suggest this hotel to others.

Good hotel at the centre of the town in Hassan, easily accessible and very near railway station and bus stand. Rooms are comfortable, clean with good amenities. Breakfast was good, But hotel has no parking facility

Wash basin leaking, no maintenance, used shampoo and hair stuck on it kept. For next customer. Rooms smelling. Dinner served after reminder what on menu. CAME!!! with hair on it.. This is the cleanliness maintained. While check out!!!! Be careful. Cheats. Dinner bill 500, charged 1100, double entry. After shouting asking for signed receipt, reduced.

We checked in on 14th of October 2022 . The hotel has very nice ambience.. The room is good and has a chilling AC . The staff is very polite and caters to all your demands . Although, the service could have been little quicker .. The food is good and the waiters serve you with a smile but we thought the spread could have been little more for this price range .. Kesari Bath was very nice .. The hotel has very limited parking .. Overall, a nice hotel to stay ... ☺️

3rd class hotel with 3rd class staff. The hotel manager was extremely rude in handling guests. When I arrived I was asked to pay security deposit of Rs 2000 in Cash, I said that I don’t have cash I can make credit card payment also I requested him to show his hotel rules where this security deposit rule is written instead he replied that either give the money or leave the hotel (even though my booking was prepaid). Then I asked him his name which he denied, he said that I have no authority to ask his name. Since it was non cancellable booking I had to walk into ATM and provide his security deposit in cash. I asked him to let me talk to his supervisor which he again denied replying that he has full authority to deal the guest in his own way.
