Took
a
walk
through
the
park.
My
family
and
I
started
at
the
spillway
and
walked
along
the
waters
edge.
We
saw
3
snapping
turtles,
7
ducklings,
3
adult
ducks,
and
minnows.
There
were
more
birds
on
the
pond
also.
Some
of
the
trees
in
the
park
that
provide
abundant
shade
are
the
beautiful
old
cottonwood
trees.
Many
of
them
make
our
state
proud
as
the
cottonwood
is
our
state
tree.
There
were
people
utilizing
the
park
as
many
people
were
out
walking
around,
fishing,
watching
their
kids
in
the
splash
pool,
or
playing
on
the
equipment,
or
just
sitting
and
enjoying
the
evening.
The
drawback
to
the
stroll
was
the
amount
of
trash
in
the
water.
We
humans
as
a
society
need
to
do
a
better
job
of
cleaning
up
after
ourselves.
So
ask
yourself
how
can
I
help
keep
the
park
beautiful
for
all
to
enjoy,
but
don't
stop
there.
Do
your
part!
