I will never stay at this hotel again. The room was dirty. I had to ask for housekeeping to service my room. When they did come to service my room, all they did was pick up the used towels and pull the bed sheet up. They did not even make the bed. There was dog hair all over the room - I could not sit in the arm chair because it was covered with dog hair. The customer service was non-existent. After trying the free breakfast the first morning, I chose to purchase my breakfast elsewhere. They were out of coffee at breakfast at 7:00 in the morning. They should be ashamed to call this a La Quinta.

Stopped here on a road trip. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was good but pretty standard. The beds were comfortable. Overall this is a great place to stay. The pool is outdoors. Also, there are no cribs or extra beds available so keep that in mind if it affects you. Otherwise, I highly recommend staying here. When we stayed (2 adults, 3 kids) they were remodeling so the floor we stayed on was under construction but it didn't really affect us as we stayed on a Saturday.

The hotel seems like it was built not long ago (newer finishes and even Google maps still shows a construction zone of the building). The hotel is really run down due to employee neglect and zero attention to detail. Everything (I mean everything) was dirty to a certain degree. From poor daily cleaning of fingerprints left on all faucets and knobs in "fresh clean" rooms to all the way to mold in crevices and dirt in floor corners. Also damaged walls and the Air Conditioner wall control was broken.

The room was clean, bed was very comfortable with good pillows and linens. Front desk person was helpful and friendly. The property appeared safe. There was some construction going on down the hall from me but it didn't affect me at all. I would love to see all hotels get rid of carpet but the carpet in my room seemed clean. You get a 'real' breakfast with eggs, bacon etc. The room was nice and quiet.

The hotel staff are not friendly. Standing at front desk nothing to do and made me wait for 15 minutes until 3pm unless I pay $25 early check-in. The lobby was clean but the pool is awful dirty. I doubt they did housekeeping job in room because the shampoo, conditioner and body washer bottles are completely empty. I also found some hair on my bad sheet ( see the picture) Worst service ever and please do not book this hotel, wasting your money!

Decent hotel for the price. The room appeared clean and smelled like bleach. The front desk agent was helpful and let me check in early however there was a $25 fee for early check in. This is the first time that I have had to pay to check in early. Overall, it was a good stay for the price.

The rooms were amazing! The bed was soft, washed, smelt good, and fluffy. The TV had some amazing channels, and it just felt very clean. I'm from Texas, but I'm going to Florida. This was the perfect place to stay!

The best part of our stay here was the staff. They are all very pleasant and will help you in any way they can. The bed was relatively comfortable…firm, but not too firm. I would suggest bringing your own pillow. Now on to the bathroom. The shower was in desperate need of repair and a good cleaning. I’m not sure when the last time the shower doors were cleaned and the caulking at the bottom of the shower had turned pink and the floor of the shower didn’t look all that clean either. There was also something on the bathroom floor, a dirty wash rag and there was something on the bed’s headboard. I have no idea what that was. Breakfast is mediocre. The biscuits were over done and the eggs did not look appetizing. Make your own waffle if you can. That’s the best option for breakfast. I know this past weekend was a busy weekend with graduation at USM, but the bathroom stuff has happened over time. My mom has stayed here before and not had an issue, but I would choose another hotel in Hattiesburg if I happen to go back.

The first room we were placed in was hot and smelly. The room itself was clean, but the shower was not. It looked like someone got in the shower with muddy shoes on. My husband notified the staff at the desk and they promptly moved us to another room. This room was cool and smelled clean. There was a few spots on the end tables where it looked like milk or something was spilled and there was some unknown red substance all over one of the light switches. The bed was clean and comfortable. We had our 2 month old with us and I was up feeding around midnight 1am. There was a knock on our door, I figured it was someone with the wrong room so I didn't answer. Then I heard a key unlock our door. It was someone who worked there who got our room number confused I guess. So that was a little nerve racking and scary having your door opened at 1am! Luckily I always use the latch bar but still an unwanted experience! I called the front desk to ask why someone had just opened our door and the lady at the front was very apologetic. Despite it all I would still stay again cause the staff was friendly and the bed was clean and cozy.

We stopped here for a last minute reservation after canceling at a competitor down the road. They were very accommodating for me and my two dogs. The pet rates were also very reasonable and it was definitely a pet friendly hotel with lots of furry guests. The property was clean and well maintained and the rooms were very nice, especially for the lower rates. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here while we had orientation at USM. Great location to the school less than 10 min away. The rooms were clean and well maintained. A little more pricey than the other hotels in the area but was worth it for the cleanliness alone. They had a good assortment for breakfast eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels etc. The pool was great and they have a 24 hour gym. Great customer service as well.

Very clean room and bathroom. The air was perfectly cold. Comfortable beds with new linens and towels. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The breakfast is okay, there was coffee, fruits and muffins and it was enough for me. The only thing that got me was the pool that looked green and I didn’t risk a swim. They are pet friendly!

Overall a good place to spend the night with some small quirks. First... they allow pets. Great if you have one, maybe not so much if you don't. Dogs are constantly being walked anywhere there's grass (and not for exercise if you know what I mean). There was also a particular dog alarm early in the morning which was not ideal either. Check-in was seem less and courteous, with a follow-up call to make sure the room was in good condition (I appreciated that). The room was clean and spacious. Everything was in good condition and functional. There's a good size tv, microwave, fridge, plenty of lamps etc... The beds (queen) were comfortable and 3 pillows each bed. I was told at the front desk, they were all out of hand soap, so I was given a couple of bottles of body wash; which was fine except these should've been stocked in the room without me needing to go to the front desk and request. The air conditioning worked great! I was comfortable all night and slept great! Breakfast looked like it would've been fairly good...however since I waited 10 minutes and all of the eggs, bacon and potatoes were gone; I wasn't able to participate. I'm sure at some point, they restocked the hot breakfast, but after 10 minutes of waiting, I just didn't have the time. It was pretty crowded, but clearly not supported to keep everything stocked... really disappointing. There was a small fruit basket (apples, oranges), cereal, pancake machine, muffins and maybe a few other cold things. So those were stocked. The dining area was spacious which would've been good. Location is easy to get to from the main drag and close to the campus of S. Miss...which is why we are here. Overall a "standard" experience that with a few attention-to-detail issues could've been better. I'd come back though...

Super easy check in, front desk staff were friendly. This location was accommodating for my 4 large dogs. Hotel was quiet and area was quiet and appeared safe. Room was very clean, beds were really comfortable. If we ever come through Hattiesburg again, we will definitely stay here!

This hotel is just okay only because of the level of cleanliness. If they fix that issue it will be an excellent place to stay like most la quintas I’ve stayed at in the past. Beds are always comfortable. This one was no different but light fixtures were rusty…windows seals and doors were dirty. Shower tiles were cracked. The workout facility does not provide drinking water, towels or wet wipes to clean the equipment. The breakfast however was great - love the waffles. Overall not a horrible stay just not a great stay.

The hotel is located close to everything, food, shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, literally everything. Room was comfy, no bad odors, no bugs...except they must've recently painted the doors and they're hard to open and shut. Bathroom was fine with lotion, soap, towels stocked. Bed, pillows were comfy. I chose the hotel because it's close to Southern Miss, where I come to work a few times a year. The HUGE problem I have here is their internet is absolutely TERRIBLE!! When I get back to my room after working, I need to get on my laptop to work. When you try to access wifi by choosing LaQuinta, it will NEVER go directly to the internet. You will continue getting error messages!! I sat here and tried for a good 15 minutes before I called front desk only to be told I have to type in something else in the search bar to access their internet. Firstly why don't you tell guests that during checkin???!!!! It would save your guests a lot of aggravation!! This evening I've tried for over an hour to access the internet to no avail! What's worse is that I stayed here last year, the same thing happened and I didn't remember when I booked! So if you need to work while staying here be prepared for their subpar dialup wifi. It's 2023 get better internet!!! I won't forget next year!! Never coming back!!

Great hotel! The breakfast was delicious! The rooms were extremely nice! The staff was pleasant - for the most part. 1 lady got aggravated because the kids were being kids in the lobby and she couldn’t hear the phone (while on a personal call - it wasn’t even business). Other than that, all in all, a great stay!

We arrived and were politely greeted by the woman at the front. We came to our room and found hair on the floor & multiple used rags in the bathroom laying out. We let the lady know, she changed our room, we then came to the SECOND room and there was hair in multiple places and it was filthy .. it was disgusting. Lastly, we had to change to a different room. We should’ve just left at this point, but we drove multiple hours and our kids just wanted to rest. We get to our THIRD room… Hair on the sheets, blood on the sheets, stains on the pillows, headboard is disgusting, and the floors are nasty! I’m praying they do something about this. I never ever want to come back here. I don’t care what they have going on, they need BETTER cleaners. Sincerely, One exhausted angry mom.

Bathroom faucet didn't work properly, couldn't get hot water out of it. And toilet was secured and wobbled, otherwise another good stay.

Staff was very nice. Location was good. Room looked nice but had an odor and I had what appeared to be flea bites when I woke up. I wish they had pet friendly rooms and non-pet rooms.

Rooms are well maintained and clean and fitted with the basic appliances including a microwave and a fridge. The complementary breakfast was okay. The scrambled eggs and bacon completely ran out on Saturday morning before the breakfast time was over and some guests had to make do with waffles and toast. The hotel interiors were kept pretty clean for the most part except the elevator, which was muddy the entire weekend. The front desk staff were very courteous and always ready to help. The location was excellent, with some of the best restaurants in town located within a mile or two.

This was an unplanned stay. My intention was to stay in Richland, MS. to handle family business. My room was clean. they have hard floors throughout. I prefer hard floors instead of carpet in hotel rooms. They have microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms. They serve hot breakfast in the morning. The location is close to good Resturants and stores for shopping.

    1. Two queen beds is less expensive than one king bed. 2. Beds are extremely hard. 3. Shower does not drain while in it. We stood in water up over our ankles. 4. Very scratchy bed covers.

All of the front desk women were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Our room was bigger than I expected and clean. We brought our dog, and they were able to give me a first floor, near the exit room. Breakfast was great- lots of hot and cold choices- almost at a preCovid level. I would definitely stay here again!!

After reading all the great reviews on line, this hotel was very disappointing. Started at check in, no one @ the counter. The room was adequate but sheets and towels were stained. Walls were dirty and stained. Had a strong smell of pets. But .the biggest surprise was the breakfast, or the lack of it. No fresh fruits, just a processed prepacked sausage patty - non appealing. Cereal looked very stale. No yogurts. Juice machine out of order, had a on on ice on bowl. Only 1/2 a load of bread available, still in bag and nothing to put on it. It was disgusting. Very expensive for very little Very few TV channels available The ratings for this hotel are way overrated!!!!!

The rooms are nice and clean but we had no breakfast, there was a gallon of milk in the refrigerator and a little cereal, frozen jimmy dean microwave sandwiches and waffles, the lady said the truck didn’t show up… really? We payed good money the last thing we wanted was to wake up to that… make sure you ask if they have breakfast before you go.

This was really nice place. They are remodeling and everything was new and fresh. Amazing price for the room. The hot breakfast was perfect finish to our trip. Loved the cheese omelet and sausage. Would book here again. We also were traveling with our dog and the pet fee was very reasonable

This place is terrible. There was what looked like dried blood and hair on the mattress. They put on their website free breakfast, that's a joke. Don't come here expecting anything for breakfast. The pillows on the bed were so small and flat you were better off sleeping without one. We were put in a room right next to the elevator so we had to listen to the bell all night long. The tile in the floor was broke. It's fine to have a hotel that is pet friendly if you clean the rooms, we stayed in one of the pet friendly rooms and it definitely wasn't cleaned properly and the animal scratched everything up. We will not be using this hotel again or recommending that anyone else use it. We should have asked for a refund.

Check-in was a breeze and very friendly staff. We were upgraded on one room ( we rented 2) at no extra cost so we could stay on the same floor. We had a dog which they have a reasonable pet fee. We checked in and walked less than a block to a great restaurant to eat. Rooms were clean. Only negative was remote for tv was broken. Otherwise great experience. We didn’t eat breakfast since we were leaving early the next day.

Had an issue with my room and needed to switch & it was solved quickly (although the new room seemed not totally ready for guests). Very friendly front desk. The breakfast also seemed not ready. They had hot food bins but nothing in them and the waffle batter was almost empty near the beginning of the breakfast service. There was a $25 pet fee, which is fairly high from my experience. Overall, I felt I the cost of my stay was too high for my experience.

The room was clean and comfortable. Good breakfast in the morning. The staff was accommodating. They worked very hard under the current staff shortage facing most of the industry. I will return!

There was so much mold in our room. We planned a trip from TN to TX and needed a place that wasn't insanely expensive for one night. I take an online course in the evenings twice a week and couldn't schedule this trip around my class so I booked in advance knowing that we would arrive about 30 mins before my class started. So we planned the entire trip knowing that la Quinta's are usually clean and comfortable but as soon as we got in the room everything was wet and it smelled bad. I didn't have time to switch room but I spent the entire night worried about what this black mold growing on the walls, ceiling and in the a/c unit. The carpet was wet and the tile flooring was extremely slippery like someone used the wrong cleaner on it. I'll be paying more for a room next time. I do not recommend.

Stayed at this hotel August 11, 2022. Check-in was easy. The room was spotless. The pool area was also immaculate. Breakfast was as good as what you might expect. Asked for a late check-out and got it. Overall, the staff was attentive, and this is a good location to do pretty much anything in the Hattiesburg area. Can’t beat the value. This will be my go-to hotel in Hattiesburg from now on.
