Nice place to stop by if you are traveling to Aberdeen waterfall. It has a nice view and you can see the tire of the famous plane crash in 1974 near Maskeliya killing all 191 passengers

Norton Bridge, Sri Lanka is a village in Sri Lanka. It is located within Central Province. Seven Virgin Hills, also known as Saptha Kanya, is a seven-peak mountain range which is situated in Maskeliya in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. It is located close to the Laxapana Falls and is considered to be one of the best hiking places in the country. It is surrounded by lush greenery and a climb to the peak gives amazing views of the surrounding valleys. Sadly, it is also renowned for a tragic incident in which a plane carrying pilgrims crashed, killing hundreds aboard, in 1974.

The Norton Dam is a small concrete gravity dam built across the Kehelgamu Oya, which is a major tributary to the Kelani River. Construction started in 1924 and completed in 1948 September. Full supply water level is 866.85 masl. Capacity or storage at Full Supply Level is 0.39 MCM. The dam is built at Norton Bridge, in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. Highly recommended. Parking available both side of the Dam.

Nice peaceful place with good climate. People also really friendly. Travelling to this place is bit hard, where we took the train and then we had to take a bus as well. Beautiful waterfall also there, where you need to take like 100 odd steps. but its worth it. One thing you need to note is you wont find big hotels or restaurants near by.

A must stop if you are passing by. Nice view and scenery. The virgin hills plane crash tyre is there.

Nice place to stop while you are passing this place. Mostly it is know for the Sri Lanka's worst air crash which took 191 lives. The tire of the flight is there.
