A stunning and incredibly peaceful space. Attentive, considerate and friendly staff. The best food I've had in Sri Lanka. Afternoon teas, three-course lunches, four-course dinners, breakfast cooked to perfection! The rooms are to die for, and the gardens are reminiscent of a stately home in England. Stayed four days, will definitely go back again. ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

A wonderful, surprising place, hidden among the tea fields, the old estates of colonial growers. Professional and friendly service, fantastic food and excellent tea. If you plan to visit more places, leave Ceylon Tea Trails for last! then nothing will be so good anymore ...! Natalia with mom and grandma

from start to finish 5 star. beautiful setting in the tea trail holls. wonderful garden and pool area. rooms luxurious classic colonial. art deco feel. very clean. lovely touch of hot water bottles to warm the bed. rooms had own attached private gardens. staff very friendly and attentive. great playing croquet and pool. outside dinning next to a open fire. very romantic. the food was first class, from varying international cuisine or traditional sri lankan curries. some of yhe sweets were of Michelin standatd. outstanding! Mangereress was first rate, again very attentive.. very enjoyable stay. highly recommended

Wow - amazing experience in the Norwood Bungalow taking service and luxury to a very high level. Blown away by the hospitality, the quality of the food and the views over the tea plantations from the hot outdoor jacuzzi. Thanks to Singh and the team for two fantastic days

Wonderful time spent here, we absolutely loved everything about our stay. San was phenomenal - so discreet and solutions oriented for every request, probably the best service we've encountered anywhere. The rooms were very comfortable with beautiful views. High tea was a treat. The food was phenomenal - the chef came around every day to suggest your breakfast/lunch and dinner orders, if you wanted to deviate a little (e.g. if you didn't want beef but fish) nothing was too much trouble. The pool area is lovely (although the water a little cold - I don't believe it is heated). Warning: if you are a foodie, you will probably be disappointed by anywhere else you go after this...so our advice would be to end your trip in Sri Lanka here, as everything is so refined - anywhere else will pale in comparison. Sipping a martini while playing a game of pool and relaxing by the fireplace is a highlight.

we had such a great experience . the tea trail was very interesting and the visit at the factory was also very interesting. our guide was so kind and knowledgeable and he even escorted us to the bus station to make sure we get on the right bus . so we strongly recommend this tour .

I visited this location with my mother during our trip and I enjoyed the experience of staying at Norwood Bungalow. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the attentiveness of the staff, the quality of the facility itself and the constant supply of whatever you wanted. The views and facilities were great and the staff were accommodating when it came to experiencing the other activities in the area. The one hiccup during my stay was that I did not enjoy the steak that I ordered during dinner one night but the issue was resolved immediately.

Away from the heat and the crowds, you are surrounded by hillsides of camellia sinensis shrubs laid out in artful tiers. We stayed at Norwood for two nights with a small group travelling together and therefore had the entire house to ourselves. You can go for walks, laze by the pool, read from the library collection, sit by the fireplace and enjoy exceptional meals. The included tea tour and sampling was comprehensive and informative. It was a wonderful respite from days of touring UNESCO sites! From the beautifully landscaped grounds to the helpful service of the staff, this short stay to essentially "do little" was heaven.

Outstanding boutique hotel - comprised of multiple buildings spread over a hillside by a lake, these properties were once home to the tea plantation owners. We stayed at Norwood Bungalow (7 guest rooms) which was built by British owners more than 150 yrs ago, really a unique property in an amazing setting. We travel extensively and this is one of the finest hotels with the best service - nothing is too much to ask and the atmosphere is very casual. Highly recommended!
