The best place to buy honey in New Zealand! The shop is filled with informative description on the local honey scene. There is two booths for honey tasting available. I personally loved the Clover honey-type. Heaps of merchandise available for sale too. Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby.

New Zealand honey

Used to spend time noodling away in guitar shops 40 years back and Music Machine has the same vibe. Nothing is too much trouble, good support and always ready to share their extensive experience. A den for muso's and a treasure trove with something for all levels. The guys don't sell anything....the gear just asks to be taken home!! I spent time there as a kid when it was Harstons and the ambience hasn't evaporated.

A fantastic place to get your honey fix and find all other things that can be made with honey. There is a honey tasting area where honey changes taste depending on what flowers the bees have been pollinating. The tastes can be quite different to each other. It is also an education centre where everyone including children learn all about bees and how they make wonderful honey. You can see the bees in action and it's a fun game to try and find the Queen bees like Debee. Pricing is fair for the premium products you can buy and the staff are really helpful.

After weeks of searching and countless emails and phone calls to various music shops in Auckland (who never replied, or simply didn't want to help me) I gave up on shopping local and found Music Machine. From first contact, Richie and the rest of the team went above and beyond to help me get what I was after (and get me a better deal than anywhere else I had seen advertised). It's been a few months wait for my guitar as it arrived from the States, but communication has been regular the whole time with fast responses (often within the hour, and with updates from the supplier). Napier isn't exactly convenient for me but my experience has left me wondering how other music stores are still in business! Music Machine: Come for the guitars - Stay for the service! 10/10

Enjoyed our visit to this honey farm, lots of hands on displays. If you have children it's a great place to go would be good for a school visit or ece group, they have toilets too. Also honey tasting and a good source of gifts to take home. Staff were very friendly and helpful and best of all it wasn't too busy, plenty of room to social distance.

Well worth a visit. Videos on honey production etc except on our visit there was no audio which really devalued the visuals. Small gift shop with some innovative honey related items.

Visited with my husband's family on our year end vacation and had a blast! I learned so much about responsible and sustainable honey farming, as well as how to help preserve bees' habitats and colony health. Very educational, especially for kids!

Fun experience to learn about different types of honey, the history of Arataki Honey, and to learn about bee life cycles. Great store inside as well with friendly and welcoming staff.

We loved Arataki Honey! They have about 10 different honeys to try, LOTS of wonderful New Zealand products, and a kids play area. I wish I’d bought more because we are loving everything we bought here!

Always a great place to visit. Children always enjoy looking at the hives and bees and the activity corner and eldest enjoys watching how honey is made in the big tv. And we nearly always end up buying candles or sheets of wax to make candles with.

Great place for families with young and old children with dress ups, live hives and lots of educational info. Also the free tastings of a variety of honeys was a great way to decide which honey to buy. Was great as a rainy day outing.

Amazing centre to visit. Lots of varieties of honey for you to try it for free. Friendly staff willing to help and they even helped us to try spotting one of the Queen bees! Bought a lot of honey back as gifts for friends and families. You can also learn about the process of making honey at this centre. Fun and educational place for kids as well.

Best service you could ever hope to receive. I got my first guitar here aged 11, my second guitar here, my third guitar here oh and my fourth guitar here. Richie & the team will go above and beyond to get you sorted. And if you're lucky you'll be offered a cup of tea! The only downside is how brilliant the products are. You'll walk in to get a set of strings and walk out with 2 new pedals, a downpayment on a new electric & will have completely forgotten about the strings.
