Not the best starter was good main very tough and lots of gristle and who puts an ice cream sundae in a dish? Strange service was ok

Amazing Sunday Roast! We went to this establishment last Sunday. It has been quite a while since I last visited this place. I can honestly say that this Sunday Roast was probably one of the best I have had whilst eating out! Vegetables cooked to perfection, great portion size and meat really tender! Would defiantly recommend the desert platters, lots to choose from and small portions of 3 or 6 deserts! Service was quick and efficient and the Lady who served us was really friendly, polite and outgoing, really made us feel welcome! I didn’t get my stuffing that was advertised on the menu, however, I was so stuffed afterwards it was probably a good thing!

We went for valentines day night, after seeing the promotion ad for the celebrate your romantic night with us. Well we booked and went, absolutely awful no sign of a heart rose or anything ....we ordered your food mains being ribeye steaks, to which when they came they where so fatty grizzly horrid uneatable. There was no one come around to ask how our meal was, 2 young lads where floating around now and then, we had to go up to ask for our bill, as o one ca.e to ask if we wanted a sweet.....we refused to pay for our dinners to which this young lad never questioned it so he know it was awful.....so my review to others totally totally avoid disgusting, looking around other people didn't seem happy either certainly the table near us wasn't.

The food, service and atmosphere has improved so much since changing management or ownership. This is our third time since the change, and will be back for many more pleasant experiences. Whatever was done, has been a positive move forward. Love the updated decor too. I would be proud and confident to recommend Flying Shuttle now, whereas before there were stock issues, shocking service, food over or under cooked, incorrect orders etc. Sorry, but that's the truth. We were never coming back but persisted and hoped for some type of improvement. Congratulations, you did it! 👏 We love it!

Carol is amazing. The food was good I had an issue and it was resolved quickly and without any fuss. Espresso Martini's are particularly good. Carol is still amazing. Pies are lovely and the apple and cherry crumble is most delicious.

Went for a family meal. My husband and I come here fairly often but our daughter and family had not been before. We were welcomed and shown to our table. We were given time to choose what we would like. Unfortunately, several things we asked for from the menu, were not available . However, we all settled on different choices and were happy with those. When the food arrived it looked very nice and we weren't disappointed. Everyone commented on how nice the food tasted and what good value for money it was. We were not hurried and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would, and have, recommended The Flying Shuttle to friends and family.

Kind, polite staff, food was delicious but place is dirty. Table was dusty and can see old food stuck on table from previous days. Chairs with stains and some riped of material. Drinking glass was all around like foggy and stains - disgusting. I can imagine how dirty the plates are😁 but because of the colour and design you can not see... + they don't have brunch but advertise on website.

Food was good, waitress was excellent, any issues we had she dealt with quickly. We had a big table with kids, so it was great you have a kids corner. Could do with updating one toy a year though. Anyway back to the meal, well cooked an great portions. Desserts were spot on too ?

Amazing food, probably the best roast I have eaten in a pub in years. Shame I couldn’t finish it all! The lady we had to serve us was amazing- I had a funny turn, and she came to my aid. Boys loved their meals too, so glad I booked here for Mothers Day. Definitely coming back here with the husband for a roast!

Ate recently. Sharing board to start - very nice, but not enough bread for the generous amount of Humus. Chicken burgers were big, and the Sweet Potato and Chickpea curry was very tasty. Service was attentive and friendly despite being a bit short staffed. There were three adults and 3 teenagers. Paid £110 for 2 courses and drinks, so very good value for money.

We were a party of 10 visiting for Christmas Dinner. The service, the food all brilliant could not have been better. Rowan our waitress was fantastic, polite, funny, attentive, helpful and happy to engage in a little bit of banter. All of staff were great and atmosphere was nice, relaxed, happy and genuinely good considering the staff are giving up their Christmas day for ours.

Fantastic place to dine. Arrived after 7pm with no booking as travelling with work. Seated quickly and the service was fantastic. Had the rib eye steak cooked perfectly and cut like butter. Sarah our waitress was fantastic very helpful and always smiling. Will return as soon as I'm in the area again. Thank you

Polite and helpful staff. Provided a quiet table ensuring our dogs could be relaxed. Good food / good Quality / reasonable price / good selection. Overall an enjoyable meal to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and at a place where the dogs are welcome too

We had booked on line and forgotten to inform that one of our party was in a wheelchair, we were quickly put on a more suitable table than the one that had been allocated to us, this was ideal and saved our guest any embarrassment. The Food was all to a good standard, although the garden peas were under cooked. The 6 of us had mains and desserts ( which were lovely) and drinks, and were pleasantly surprised at reasonable prices. The service was timely and the staff very friendly. Will definitely be returning in the near future.

Great food and pleasant environment. We arrived for an early tea (1730). The bar and restaurant was very quiet. Food menu had great choice and when the food came we were really pleased with the quality. Would definitely come back again for a treat. It's not cheap but taste and flavours were great. Can't fault the service either

We were quickly seated upon arrival and ordered drinks were soon delivered. The starters and main courses chosen from an extensive new menu soon arrived and were well cooked and presented. Desserts and Coffee were also speedily handled and the bill presented upon request. We had a most enjoyable experience which was mainly due to the Kitchen and Front of house teams being on top form. We have been to the Pub many times in the past and will continue to use this excellent facility.

Pleasantly surprised tonight in the Flying Shuttle I got table service and very nice food at sensible prices this means I will be returning

Great place to eat and drink

Have to say very happy. Reserved a table through Google and arrived to a friendly staff member who sat me at a clean table. Asked if I wanted a drink then handed a menu. After around 5 mins they asked if I was ready to order, I had a question which she quickly answered and I ordered my food. When food arrived it was very hot which I like, it had been made earlier on a beleave and heated when I ordered but it was hot all the way through. Garlic bread was a big rubbery not sure how they heat this if its in a microwave but it tasted good with the beef lasagne. After food was eaten plates where quickly removed and asked if I required any pudding which I said just the bill, couldn't fit anything else in unfortunately.

Short notice booking for stepdaughter Birthday for nine people so really impressed we got the time we wanted. Table was great with plenty of space. Service was superb asking if we wanted drinks but giving us time to get seated. Didn't feel rushed into ordering but equally weren't waiting for ages to order. Food arrived and was delicious, everyone happy with what and how they ordered their meal. Service was excellent. Finally considering we were 9 people having two courses and what everyone wanted and drinks was pleasantly surprised at the bill. Thank you Flying Shuttle

Awful. Cleanliness was really bad but we thought it may have been because they were busy. Food was bland and poorly executed. My sons burger meat tasted sweet ( yes I realise the brioche bun is sweet. Meat shouldn't be ) I told him to not eat it. The rest of my family didn't enjoy their meals either. We ordered desserts which were fine. Payed the bill and left promptly after. I do not like to leave negative reviews but feel this is necessary.

Staff came cross helpful and friendly. Took our drink order first. Then gave us time to look at the menu. They were accommodating to change parts of the menu to suit our needs. Food came quick and was value for money.

I absolutely love the Flying Shuttle especially Carol, she has gone above and beyond for my family in the last year for my boys christening party (they even decorated for me). Our first Christmas meal and every important anniversary we have had! We have booked for our sons 1st birthday and we know they will go above and beyond for us. More like a family than a business. Thank you for everything you do for our family ❤️

The food was beyond appalling. My partner's meal looked, smelt and tasted as if it had been left on the side for hours on end and reheated more than once before arriving to the table. The portion sizes were very hit and miss, there were items on the menu that did not appear on the plate. Very overpriced for awful, microwave food. The only saving grace was that the bar staff and waitress that served us were very polite and made the experience almost barrable. Will not be returning.

It was our twins birthdays so we arranged a lovely family meal. Excellent service, well looked after, food was presented well and tasted scrumptious. A good choice on the menu. Puddings were lovely and the staff even sang happy birthday to our girls when they brought our cupcakes out. We love the flying shuttle. Shall return a again soon.

Have visited a few times in the past. Booked online with ease, whole group had a lovely lunch. Servers were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend. Only gripe was the baby nappy bins in the changing room stunk and the restaurant had literally just opened. The changing table in there needs a strap to secure baby to as well.

We were quickly shown to a table. Lisa came promptly and took our drinks order. Throughout our visit Lisa was very attentive without being overbearing and helped make our visit a lovely experience. The food was excellent as well.

The staff were very helpful, the restaurant was busy and they still managed well. The food was delicious and the portions were huge! The disabled toilet was immaculate and one of my residents said it was the best disabled toilet she’d ever been in so big props for that.

My mum is disabled and the parking was right outside with a clear run to the table. We booked for 20 people for her birthday meal and it was actually set out perfectly for us in the back room. It was like our own function room. The manager was amazing.. having to serve 21 people and splitting the bill for us and being really patient. I honestly can't think of a down side to the afternoon. I hope the staff read this and feel very proud of the themselves.

Staff were very helpful. Cleaned the table outside at our request before the food arrived. Everyone enjoyed their food. Our guests also commented on the lovely ambiance inside. A side of chips was missing but soon arrived after it was highlighted.

Booked online 50 minutes before our table time and was greeted by name on arrival, this started the whole experience off greatly and the staff continued to excel throughout. The food was excellent and great value and enjoyed by all aged between 5 and 82. We live in Wigan and visit the area regularly and wherever we go in East Anglia, we always find our way back to the Flying Shuttle for a meal and will continue to do so.

The staff were friendly, patient and professional. Despite being a busy evening we never felt we were waiting for anything. Our attentive and festive waitress Carol was a model of hospitality. The food was good and well presented, the prices were reasonable and the restaurant and toilets were clean and well presented.

We had a lovely table that accommodated the dog we bought with us. A water bowl was bought over. The staff were excellent and did not rush us with the roast dinner. We had puddings also and drinks. A really super Sunday lunch experience.

We were very disappointed when we visited yesterday the table for two could not be any closer to the next table and were able to hear every word said and felt uncomfortable and squashed against the wall we felt rushed and as soon as we put our knife and fork down the plates were whisked away and the bill appeared in a moment another couple were waiting for our table

First visit, was pleasant. Friendly staff. Minus one star because to me i foind the chicken and lamb i was given to be undercooked. Chicken looked a bit pink and lamb was to bloody for my liking Steak was cooked perfectly though as was the rest. Not sure if my food was cooked badly or if its just how i saw it. So dont want to put them down to much

Very nice food, nice friendly staff, good clean eating area. Lots of choice of craft beers, wines, ciders and larger. Menu tells you what drink goes well with the food option which is a nice touch.

Took the grandkids for dinner. Friendly staff, good service. Kids meals good value. The mixed grill was really good.

Love the decor in this establishment. As it is reasonably new it feels fresh and has a nice atmosphere. There meals start from £6 So a wide range to suit most budgets. I loved my fish and chips which was ample and drinks are reasonable too ?

Food is amazing but I have noticed there is less food being put on a plate than there used to be.....used to get 2 scoops of ice cream with chocolate dessert now only 1 and it's not enough to soak up the pudding as it's pretty dry

Both times service was slow and dishes unavailable.. But a lovely location

We were a table of 12 booked for boxing day lunch. Had to ask for drinks, table was sticky from previous diners, one of the chairs was very torn, food was cold and had to be sent back. But we did go last year and it was lovely. I can only assume a bad chef day. The manager was amazing, gave us a huge dis count and was very apoligetic.

We were there on a slightly busy day; and they were understaffed. Waited over 20min for our drinks before the food came another 20min later. Platters worth sharing with and decent choice of beers, though unfortunately, the rotisserie chicken and roasted veggies were much too dry... Lovely waitress, but just too understaffed for a good experience.

Nice decor and staff are nice but the roast dinner I just had was the worst ever. Everything had obviously been sitting for hours in the kitchen. I ate about 30% of it and couldn't eat the rest.
