The decoy museum was interesting to see. Ii has 2 floors. There is a elevator and they have bathrooms. They have a nice gift shop. Parking is on the side of the building. It takes 1-2 hours to go thru. They call themselves “Decoy Capital of the World”. Waterfowl decoys are a form of folk art. They are sharing the history for future generations. Group tours available.

Learned a lot. Quality displays and very informative placards. Well lit and not busy in a Sunday. Come walk the docks and learn hunting history. Young children would likely not be entertained.

Well, if you never visited a Decoy Museum I would suggest visiting this one. Me and my Mom spent a night in Havre De Grace to visit the city and learn of its history and hunting is a huge part of it. So the museum isn't just about decoys but also tells a lot of the story of the local area. And the decoys on display are art. So it is a art museum and a history museum.

A true American folk art museum. While the majority of decoys were carved to support the duck hunting lifestyle they definitely are an Americana art form. When you think about duck hunting you consider only a few carvers. But if you stop to visit you will learn that the number of carvers is larger than one would realize. Don't pass this place up!

I am usually not a small local museum type person, but I absolutely loves this one. The displays are amazing and there are so many different things to look at that are all well organized and detailed descriptions. The transitions between different exhibits and parts of the museum flows nicely and the upstairs gallery has FANTASTIC views! Everyone was just so awesome and the staff were polite and helpful. We had the special treat of getting to meet one of the gentleman that is featured in the videos in the first exhibit room; he was out in the back garage giving a lesson on carving the heads of the different decoys! He was so friendly and others there shared their personal experience with being in the garage as little kids and growing up in the area. Don't forget to head out to the old garage out back too because it truly is neat to see how they moved it over and are still using it today. If you are even thinking of going.....just do it! Totally worth it!

This little museum has a LOT to tell you about the history of decoy making! I never knew there was so much that went into it, and it was really interesting to learn how hunters used the decoys too. Definitely should be on top of your to-do list if you are ever even close to the area!

This museum is a little gem! Beautiful exhibits of decoys, carefully planned and artfully laid out, with lifelike models of the carvers that highlight the craft and culture of carving. Don't miss the exquisite stained glass throughout. And listen to the recordings of the carvers telling their stories. Admission is a bargain, with discounts for seniors and others. Highly recommended.

Extremely interesting museum! The museum shows you the history of decoys, watercraft and gun's used to hunt. They have a huge selection and examples of decoys including how they are made, types/styles, and different artisans (ALOT of the famous makers are from the Chesapeake bay region). You can tour this 2 story museum which is handicap friendly, in 45mins if you are in a hurry;but I would suggest you plan on giving it 1.5 hrs of your time to truly appreciate all that it has to offer!

They call themselves "The Decoy Capital of the World" for good reason - LOT of carvers. History from pre-Columbian to plastic (when carvers turned to "fancy ducks" which we enjoy) the stories, people and products are all there. Liked more of the "art" and "craft" than the hunt and kill parts. An amazing legacy.

I thought it would be fun to learn about decoys and we enjoyed walking through the exhibits and reading all the interesting facts. I'd allow about an hour.

Now this is a museum that will surprise you. There are so many decoys. It's not large but bigger then we thought. A fun trip. Amazing how people can make the decoys and don't miss seeing the carved fish. WOW!!!

Although for years I did not see the allure as I passed the signs for it on route 95, there is some great craftsmanship displayed along with the life like craftsmans, Boats and shotguns used in the past are also displayed.
