Marriott you must do better. Not sure how long you have owned this property but it is NOT to the Marriott standard. In addition to that we specifically called ahead to ask if the hot tub and pool were working and were told yes they were. It is 100% of the reason we booked this room. Your hot tub is NOT working and the pool is ice cold. ☹️ The rest of the property is run down, the stairwells smell, and the beds are pretty hard, but us being lied to about the hot tub is inexcusable.

As someone who stays at Marriott properties at least 120 nights a year, this is the worst hotel in the brand. Customer service is great, which gets them 2*, but otherwise it does not represent the brand well. Huge gaps in the doors to the rooms, poor lighting, the bathrooms were heavily damaged, and a severe lack of storage space. Marriott head office needs to come and review this franchise.

Mario S. was the one that made my travel that night TERRIBLE!! After being on 5he road for HOURS my wife goes in to use her employee discount and book a room and the Mario S gave such a hard time we took our business elsewhere. I normally do the driving so my wife books our rooms. At this point she should have book enough rooms to become a elite member. However, because of Mario's extremely terrible customer service we had to drive further to find somewhere else to stay. That WAS NOT apart of the Marriott brand. Kudos to him!

Can't believe this is a Marriott property. I could have stayed at a motel 8 for half the price and it would have probably been nicer

This hotel certainly does not live up to the standards of a Marriott. The Clerk put us in a handicap even though it wasn't requested or needing. The room had a horrible smell and the bathroom wall and door was covered with rust which was apparently a water problem which concerned me about mold. After I complain to the management, they put us in another room which was not much better because that bathroom wall and door was covered with rust also. Never again will I stay at that hotel. The only compensation management offered was changing the room which was also not usually how Marriott Handel's customer service complaints

Just off the highway and right across the street from Sonic and a large gas station that has everything you could need in a quick stop. We also found a beautiful park only a 5 minute drive away for our 2 year old to play at.

Stayed here for an overnight. This hotel does not meet the standard of a Marriot or other Fairfield Inns I've stayed at. The room I was in was dated and had a very dank/musty smell coming from the AC unit. Walls were fairly thin and could hear people in the room adjacent. Overall it's a very tired hotel. The staff were kind and accommodating, but the facility needs a massive renovation.

Honestly, I’ve not had a bad night at a Marriott property in a very long time. This one is clean and updated. Room was nice and as usual, the beds were super!! Two thumbs up!!

Room could have been cleaner. The breakfast was great. Biggest issue the floors were thin lots of noise from above and in the hallway.

Paid almost $200 for a room with a king bed. We got a small queen bed in a room right next to the elevator, the ac unit seems to be on its last leg (so it was muggy all night), and then there was an issue with the tv where everyone sounded like a chipmunk. I can deal with little issues, like the tv, but downsizing us AND putting is in a room next to an elevator to do so pretty frustrating.

We joined the Bonvoy group. We drove from Colorado to Florida. Tried different hotels on the way down but decided to ONLY use the Fairfield Inn by Marriott on the way back. Nice rooms, nice people and yes free breakfast; scrambled eggs, oatmeal, waffles, sausage coffee etc. It's nice not to have to look for a breakfast place when heading to the next destination! p.s. room 102 could use some decoration. Jet tub was great!

A little small, but the people are nice and it was a clean, comfortable, and restful night. The breakfast was okay. I wish they always had bacon and bread, but the young lady doing the breakfast was working hard.

Very nice staff, friendly and helpful. We arrived in town well ahead of check-in time, and I asked if they could get us in early, stating it's perfectly fine, if not. On checking with housekeeping there was only one room ready, and we accepted it. It was very windy and cold and the museum we planned to visit didn't open until 1:00 (Sunday hours), so it was nice to secure a comfortable place to be. Marriott chain is always nice, this hotel is older and in need of some maintenance, but the areas we saw were clean and we were comfortable. The breakfast before leaving next morning was excellent.

Marriotts are typically clean but this hotel was not. We were passing through for one night. There were beetles in the indoor pool area, the hot tub had missing tiles and the jets weren’t working. The room hadn’t been vacuumed well upon check in. The bathroom door was rusting. The windows were dirty inside. We found several bugs in our room. There were flys at breakfast and they were out of fruit and butter. The location was nice that we could walk to old Chicago for dinner.

The hotel was a good option. I was a bit let down with the pool. We stayed at the best western and enjoyed the room size and the pool there more. The best western also had water bottle fill stations which was helpful. I did much prefer the beds and the breakfast spread at this hotel though. The oatmeal bar was really delicious and there were good options for my kiddo too. The staff was delightful to work with and so kind and helpful. We requested a first floor room and they were able to accommodate that.

Room appeared to be clean. Floor creaked under my feet when walking around in the room, will ask for the main floor in the future to not disturb others. Tub drain was slow, light over sink flickered occasionally. All of these were not a big deal to me, the bigger disappointment was the breakfast offering. Muffins and fruit were ok but whatever the hot sandwich looking thing was supposed to be, I just couldn't do it. As that was the only hot breakfast option I saw, I skipped it. Staff were great; helpful, polite and courteous!

Emmy and her staff are incredible! I stay here every year while in town for a basketball tournament! The rooms are clean and breakfast is fantastic.

Excellent, simple stay! I manage a hotel and travel frequently. From the front desk agents to the breakfast attendants, the staff was courteous and respectful. No issues in the room other than a flickering vanity light. I'm so glad Marriott came to it's senses and reinstated eggs and bacon at breakfast.

Pay for what ya get ... slow toilet ... my floor literally flexes under my feet in my second floor room . Good for the 6 hours of sleep I needed in the middle of nowhere

I'll guess that you'd be in Hays for the same reason as me: to sleep and get back on the road. If so, then this place is everything you want. Even if not, it's clean and the staff is friendly. There's a pool, a gym, and a small convenience store if that matters.

The front desk staff was very friendly. the hotel was clean room was clean. the pool needed work . paint peeling in the pool and on the ceiling hot tub jet did not work. the beds like a cement slab very uncomfortable. the breakfast ok, eggs runny and the bacon rubbery. it can be a great place if they just done work to it.

Our family stayed for 3 nights while attending family reunions in the area. Stacy, at the front desk, took great care of us (we had a few special requests) and Emmy made sure that all of the reservations were accurate. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good too. The hotel is in a great location (easy access from the interstate) in Hays and is close to all of the major restaurants.

This is probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Our sheets had holes in them, and our room had ants. (Which we told them about and they did nothing)You could hear the steps of the people walking above us and it was so loud you’d think they’d be close to falling through the ceiling. Whoever owns this place must be the biggest cheapo.

The TOWELS! Come here for the towels. Most Fairfield Inns have those exfoliating towels we all know and love. The towels here are soft and luxurious! Customer service is great too!

Such a dirty feeling being there. Shower doesn’t drain, bedding was very itchy. I had the fear of bedbugs the entire time so couldn’t sleep well. 100% don’t recommend this place. Don’t spend your money here. There is a nice Hilton that’s right next to them that looks wayyyyy better.
