Went on a Saturday, the day after re-opening, at about 12:30 before the place got super busy for lunch. They had no sandwiches available and no burgers. They’d probably sold out of everything from the day before. I ordered the steak and ale pie, my cousins ordered a scampi and chips & a fish and chips and our parents ordered nachos to share. We were out for my cousins wedding dress shopping so we had an appointment at 2pm to get to, thought we had enough time but apparently not. It took an hour for the meals to be made and they all came out at different times. The scampi and chips was a child size portion, the fish and chips looked like something you could get from Iceland and the gravy that came with my pie was atrocious. It was powdery and lumpy. They also gave me a tiny portion of chips and a lump of lukewarm mash. The pie crust was tough and the beef inside was chewy. Only good bit was the flavour of the gravy inside the pie. The staff were polite though and the place has been done up nicely

Absolutely fantastic pub,me and my wife popped in here today on a lovely sunny day for drinks that are well priced,the beer garden is a great suntrap and got hungry so ordered the mixed grille it was fantastic well cooked steak,gammon was juicy and could not fault it,I should have taken a photo but my plate is empty now, my wife had a beautiful chicken and bacon salad and she loved it. Lovely place very friendly staff Lynn our server was very attentive. We will be back soon..

13 of us went for our Christmas lunch today, every single member of staff were absolutely brilliant! There was a slight wait for our meal but it wasn't a problem as we got to spend time together as a family. Thank you so much to all the staff for giving up part of your Christmas day for us. Merry Christmas to you all.

We've visited here several times since it has opened and it hasn't disappointed. There were a few teething problems at the start, as to be expected, like the wierd queue the patrons were forming, leading to queue jumping (we're British, you're not supposed to jump in 😂) There are a few staff members there who have absolutely stood out, they're welcoming and friendly. Mary, Luke and Amy are an asset to the Bulls head. The drinks are well priced and the food is well cooked, I would definitely recommend the sharing platter. The outside seating area is massive and really well constructed. There are booths, lights, heat lamps and a fire pit. Well worth a visit. Again a special mention to Luke, Mary and Amy 👏👏👏👏 keep doing what you're doing 👍

Great boozer. Food is better than other local Greene Kings too. Nice choice of beer and the staff are always really friendly. There's a lad called Luke who is especially accommodating. Will be back very soon 👍

Food was lovely, very good value for money. Smaller senior portions appreciated. Bar staff were Friendly and helpful. Luke ( bar staff) was lovely and extremely pleasant. Definitely come again. Lovely family Friendly pub. Would be happy to bring my son next time. Will recommend to others.

4 of us went for a late lunch today as been wanting to visit for a while after seeing the refurb from afar. So glad we did! The Nacho sharer was absolutely fantastic, the best we've had by far! We also had the mixed grill which was lovely, beautiful thick cuts of steak and gammon. Also had the cheese burger and scampi- all really delicious. We tucked in so quickly this is the best picture I could get of my partners food 😂 Thank you to Julie for great friendly service! We will be back again very soon with our pup no doubt :)

Staff and food were lovely. Welcoming environment too. Family and dog friendly also. We came for sunday lunch.

Our 2nd visit a week later on a Friday was much more positive, brought the grandkids & we all enjoyed the food & drink. Bar & waiting on staff friendly and very helpful, especially when a rogue insect invaded my daughters drink. The refurb is impressive as well as lovely and clean throughout. Sadly ran out of gammon but otherwise no issues with the experience. 👍

It's great to see this place open again and the refurbishment is really lovely. The outside areas are great too. Friendly staff and polite service. Good place to meet for a drink. But unfortunately the food quality, quantity and speed of delivery were all extremely disappointing. Also very bad value for money. The fish and chips portion size for £11.95 was very underwhelming. If that was truly a full size meal I can't begin to imagine how tiny the seniors menu portions must be!!!! The chicken and bacon salad was also overpriced or badly undersized and not very exciting. Hate to be this negative but feel compelled to give this feedback in the hope that things might be improved.

Went here yesterday for the first time. Outdoor space looked amazing. The weather was a bit chilly so we went inside. We ordered Nachos to share which were amazing and home made. I’ve tried lots of Nachos, including ones in Mexico, but these were the best ever. For our mains my husband had Fish and Chips and I choose Hunters Chicken. Both meals were absolutely delicious. We just couldn’t eat it all as the portions were very generous. We were served by Stephanie who was lovely. We will be back xx

This was a random stop for us popped in for some lunch, I say this because I think there is a staffing shortage everywhere it did take 45min for our order but we didn't mind as this to be the norm everywhere. When food did come.it was hot 🔥 and fresh ( didn't taste like frozen food reheated) and full of flavour. I will definitely be back nice staff and value for your money 💰.

Had a really great time actually. Food was yummy, they sell neck oil which made me and my mate come here over a few of the other bars, staff and other customers were friendly. Nice Christmas tunes at a good noise level. All in all I'd definitely come here again :)

Just had the best Sunday dinner in Hazel Grove 😋 I will be back again. Friendly staff can't stay anything bad by this place and good prices as well.

Our book club has been meeting here for a few months now and decided to choose it for our Christmas meal today. The food was delicious and well presented. The waitress was lovely and so helpful.

1st time here. Staff friendly and welcoming. Great menu lots of choice. Food came quick and easy all hot. Steaks cooked to perfection. Hubby went for burger and doubled up it was massive!!!! Definitely will return. Ps portion sizes and prices very good.

Just been to the Bulls Head, my partner was very reluctant after our last 2 disappointed visits several months ago. They now have new people in charge & what a difference, we were greeted by a friendly young lady, the food was second to none, hot & fresh with ample proportions. Overall the staff were friendly, the place was clean & the food yummy, thanks chef. Will definitely be returning, just what Hazel Grove needs, no doubt in the Summer it will get very busy when you can enjoy the outside area.

A good first impression, since the new management took over. Fairly standard pub food on the menu, but it's very reasonably priced, and came out quickly. The lasagne was ok (could be improved a bit) but the fish and chips was fantastic - about as good as it gets. The fish was perfectly cooked. I'd give an overall score of 4.5 if I could - but 4 would be unfair. Decent value. Should be nice outside when (if) the sun shines.

Last minute stop for something to eat with my 2yr old. Have a great children's menu and plenty of high chairs. Food was good pub grub, nothing to complain about. Staff were really friendly and were quick being served on a Thursday evening. Would go again 👍

Fabulous service and hand on heart the best food i have had in a long time. We were rapidly running out of places to try , after continuously being disappointed with other pubs in and around Stockport. On the spur of the moment decided to give the newly refurbished Bulls Head, Hazel Grove a try and I am so glad we did. Will definitely be back very soon. X

Visited today 12th December at 12:30. They didn’t have us booked in and had no record of the deposit my friend paid for our choices on the “festive menu.” The “festive menu” was cancelled due to no take up. My friend wanted a rump steak. They had no rump steak. I asked for napkins with the cutlery, she said they’d not come in so gave us some blue roll from the bar. I had a mushroom pie. Not so festive. We visited today based solely on the lovely festive menu we saw when we came in November 🙁

Went for a meal on Monday and was served by the lovely Julie. The food was good and reasonably priced. My friend had the steak and ale pie which was a must. I was shocked how quiet it was after reopening, such a shame as it’s been decorated, looks great, good staff and fairly priced food.
