Not the same since it was sold by the almond group. Carvery stopped at 5pm on Sunday!? So ordered off the menu, a lot of which wasn’t available. What did arrive was a steak with a few chips and mushrooms and a salad with loads of chicken that was dry as a bone. Staff were awkwardly over attentive which didn’t make for a relaxed atmosphere. Won’t be going back unless it is bought back by almond!

Lovely staff, but SHOCKING food. Since the recent change over management we thought we’d give this we’ll known place a go. Sadly, the food is shocking. “Pizza” is ciabatta with ketchup as a base sauce and cheddar grilled over top. We asked as we hoped this would change but we were told this is the standard going forward. The £13 burgers, although thicker than a burger van burger, are ultimately the same Chemically, grimey flavour and bound to leave you needing a serious quantity of toilet roll. Honestly, the staff were lovely but please don’t bother eating here unless you have a serious desire to be unhappy.

Disappointed. New owners...no carvery. Had fish chips & peas.@£12.99...not a great portion...taste of cooking oil..more batter than fish and no more than a table spoon of peas. Tartar sauce in sashes...used to be a (home made?) portion in a side dish. Just got the impression that maximising profits took precedent over value and quality.

Fantastic pub to visit. The food is first class the staff are wonderful. Lovely atmosphere. Large car park and disabled access throughout. It can get very busy, very popular so I would recommend ringing in advance especially Sunday.

Disappointed. Not informed that the dining room was full when booking a costly familyChristmas Dinner we were seated in a sort of conservatory . No more visits to this establishment. New Management!

Poor show again. Keep on giving this place chances as its our local but I'm starting to understand why its always so quiet in there when every other pub is busy. We were told we wouldn't get part of our meal as another booking later in the evening was given preference for that part of our food? On top of this just after we were asked to move seats for another booking to sit there, after asking to sit in those spots. Just ended up leaving and just paying for drinks. 3rd time attending 3rd time leaving as soon as possible.

We used to eat here every week but go elsewhere now. But I thought I'd give it another chance today. Tried the new Bears signature burger today. £17 for this. Awful! As a local resident it's sad it is no longer a decent place to eat.

I cannot recommend this place enough! I came in with my daughter's the other day, one of which has severe food allergies. The lady/s behind the bar and the chef were outstanding with their service. Not only did the chef cook exactly what we wanted, he went above and beyond to make sure there was no cross contamination, and even offered to help make future meals more appealing for my daughter, since her meals are very plain and basic. It's the first time in 11 years we have received such amazing service. The atmosphere was great, beautiful place and the prices are fantastic. My daughter was chuffed to bits with her meal, and our meals were gorgeous too. What a blessing to be able to take my daughter our for a meal with no worries. Thank you so much! We will be back soon! :)

Lovely place, food was beautiful. The staff were very attentive and polite. The only minor thing was the time to get the food out but we were told this in advance of arriving as we were a group of 9.

First time we have been in since it changed hands and the layout and decor is far better, brighter and more of a contemporary feel. We didn't have food but the service was great especially from Emma behind the bar.

A great little pub with polite staff friendly out in the sphere and it's been recently decorated inside and looks really nice. Would recommend a visit

Quite a nice local pub. Relatively new building so accessible to people with mobility issues. Good carvery.

Despite the establishment saying that it was open until 11pm today… a barmaid told me that it was last orders at 10:10pm… and said that she wouldn’t offer plastics so I’ve rushed this before aiming back home… as I was told I had 15 minutes to finish that drink (this was a Wednesday)

Lovely service, friendly staff. Steak pie was LOVELY full of meat and filling. Definitely recommend this place. Kids nuggets and chips went down a treat with my 4 year old too

The staff when we first arrived was really friendly the service at first seemed like they was due a rush so wanted us in and out. We had the Carvery well I say cavery it’s more like ingredients they had left over in the kitchen. The meats are stacked in tins on top of each other under the heaters as there’s no space so they take the meat to a chopping board and cut all the meats on the same board. There’s non of the usual Cavery veg you get potatoes (roast and mash) some oily sweet potatoe and some sort of peas, the gravy was very watery. Once we sat the food was cold so it’s not doing anything under the heaters. I will never return here the price for what you get just doesn’t add up.

Nice place to be and sit. My pie and chips were lovely, but my veg was clearly one of those steam in the bag things. Didn't like that

Seven of us went to the Three Bears Saturday 7 March. Two had carveries the rest had other meals. We had to wait fifty minutes for our meals, they were very busy but it seems a long time. The meals were mainly good, but I had the fish which unfortunately was over cooked and dry. The two that had Carvery said the meals were very good but Yorkshire Pudding while very big was far too hard to cut or enjoy. When I went to the toilet I found that the seat had a blue residue on it. Looking above the seat there is a PHS machine on the wall and the liquid from it was trickling down towards the seat. The ladies in our party said their toilet was not clean.

As a local resident, 5mins walk and having operated and owned my own pub and restaurant company for nearly 20yrs… I’ve always found the three bears does generally what a local pub should do, especially during these modern times. Respectfully, sadly, and unfortunately, this is no longer the case! 😔 You really need to focus on the food offer and the socioeconomic area your pub serves. There are higher margins for better service and a better product. Money is cheap - take advantage of that, and focus on local families…. Good luck it’s a tough business, sadly be a long time till we try you again. But thank you for your hospitality, and pleasant staff🙏
