My wife and I had an amazing afternoon with Sajee and his wife. The location was great and the finished product even better. Started from a fresh whole coconut, several vegetables, some chicken and a wide variety of spices. Each step of the cooking process was carefully explained and reasoning given. Eventually rolled out having eaten most of what we cooked. Would thoroughly recommend this. Pretty confident we can replicate when we return to the U.K.

We had a great time cooking with Sajees and Suzy! They were very knowledgeable about all the spices used in the cooking process. We got to experience making an authentic 7 curry and rice the Sri Lankan way! Made our own mustard cream and coconut milk used in making most of the dishes. We got to eat our creations at the end and they were delicious! Couldn’t recommend this enough if you want to learn a great skill to take home! All recipes and instructions were sent to us so we can make after our holiday!

Sajee and his wife were the most excellent hosts for our cookery class. We had an amazing variety of incredibly tasty curries and dishes. Everything was explained clearly and the results were super tasty. We would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area. It was a trip highlight !!! Thankyou Saaje :)

Such a lovely cooking class! As we’ve been in Sri Lanka for a few days already and tried different curries we fell in love. My girlfriend and I wanted to learn more about this amazing food so searched for a cooking class. We found Sajee’s and decided to try it. Sajee and his wife Suzy welcomed us at their place with a cup of ginger tea (really nice) in there very nice outdoor kitchen. After we drank our tea they explained the spices, herbs and vegetables they use in the Sri Lankan kitchen and ofcourse the ones that we were using in the cooking class. We made 7(!!!) curries, rice, coconut sambal and papadums. They really took the time to explain everything, and trust me it was well explained in detail. After 2-3 hours of cutting and cooking we could put it on the plate and enjoy the curries we made. We made different curries with chicken, pumpkin, lentils, gourd, green mango, eggplant and beets. Plated up twice! It’s that it didn’t fit anymore in my stomach, otherwise I would probably eat more. Got a bit more explanation from Sajee and after that we had some coconut with local pure honey, also really amazing. The cool thing is that we got the recipes, so we’re definitely buying some spices to take home and try these curries again. Let’s see if we can make them as good as here. We had a marvellous cooking class with Sajee and his wife! We cooked so much delicious food and they gave is also all the nice recepies to bring home to Europe ;) highly recommended...

Such a lovely place!! We cooked the best food we had in Sri Lanka with the most lovely people! A must do and highly recommend!!

We were looking for an authentic cooking class while in Sri Lanka, and Sajeewa managed to organise us a private class at the last minute. We learned how to cook loads of different dishes, including the prep, the different spice mixes and the actual cooking style - our favourite bit was making our own coconut milk!! All the dishes were amazing (some of the best food we ate in Sri Lanka), and we had a great time! - 10/10

Sajee & Suzy are wonderful hosts and more importantly know how to cook! Fantastic range of home cooked, delicious dishes. Really informative about all of the herbs and spices, preparation and cooking times…so tasty! A wonderful way to spend the afternoon and great value for money. Thank you!
