Excellent customer service, great staff, and authentic Jamaican cuisine. I am returning to this hotel. The lawn was well kept, the environment was perfect and my room was much more than I expected. The highlight of my stay was my birthday celebration. The decor, set-up, and food were excellent. I was completely blown away. Great teamwork! I am recommending this venue to anyone wishing to get married or host an event; Tropic View Hotel is the place to go! I gave them an A+ for their overall customer service and helpfulness. You guys were exceptional, especially management. Thank you all for my beautiful vacation!

First the day that I went for dinner, the Restaurant had only a few customers. I ordered from the menu, only to be told that they were out of the item after 20 mins of waiting. The waiter kept going back and forth. I finally decided to order what they had available per the waiter and that took over 40 minutes for me to be served. Very disappointing👎🏽

To rate this place one star is being extremely generous. First and foremost we were initially placed on a ground floor room that we explicitly stated we did not want due to safety concerns. The new room we were placed in had broken blinds in the bathroom, the toilet was broken, the water pressure was extremely low and there was no warm water. On our second day the toilet flooded our room and we were never properly compensated for any of the multiple inconveniences. The bath tubs clearly haven’t been cleaned for months and clearly had stains. The “staff” they had on site were for the most part clueless as how to perform their jobs. To say they need new management is an understatement. It is a filthy and downright uninhabitable facility.

Not happy with my stay here at all. I’ve never seen so much mold in a bathroom, it was disgusting. Only light in the bedroom is from one of two table lamps, the ceiling fan was dirty, the tv was stuck on only one channel, if you take food in your room it will be swarmed with ants, there was dirt behind the night table. Makes me wonder what do the housekeepers actually clean when they visit the room. The pasta from the kitchen wasn’t bad, however it had too much cheese. Also, bear in mind that if you book a room here, your ID will be photocopied. Front desk guy couldn’t explain why this is apart of their procedure.

Great service from all. From the ancillary to chef to ground staff I give them an A+ for courtesy and helpfulness. The ground is well kept. Environment is family oriented, easy to relax here and did I mention the food. Jamaica fooddddddd!!!!! Highly recommend this hotel. I am here on the balcony writing this review. I am definitely coming back.

Cleanliness of the room and the staff were friendly . I had 2 problems no- one told us that we could have free breakfast and the mattress was very uneven so I was tossing and turning trying to get comfortable

I can't complain. Breakfast was awesome and brought to your room on time. The pool was amazing, the property was beautiful and well kept. Rooms were designed in a young couple like setting. The more expensive rooms were to great as well. The community doesn't have any entertainment around it but nice homes and near by restaurants deliver.

Not worth it.

The price is reasonable, could have been cheaper still however breakfast is served with an overnight stay. The room, bathroom and other facilities are clean and appears to be properly maintained. Improvement to the facilities and grounds are currently taking place. There is a swimming pool, basket and netball court, a bar but no live music still. Great quite get away nested in the cool, cool Manchester hills in central Jamaica . Oh the room I stayed in was not equipped with an air conditioning unit and yes there was hot water. Didn't get a higher rating as it is not an all-inclusive hotel.

Hot water, clean rooms and sheets quiet. I will definitely be going back. They also have a bar and grill! Nice place 💜

Tropics view is spacious and beautiful, but it's poorly maintained. The food is outsource and it's terrible. Management need to get better staffs. If management gets better staffs from security to cleaners to admin the hotel could easily be a 4 star hotel. I rate it 2 stars because of its beauty

Stayed there for a night. The room I stayed in had dirt and sand all over the sheets, the fan in the living room wasn’t working, nor tv. The walk way to the pool is horrible, wouldn’t suggest.

The staff was great but they need to have better bathrooms in the area where the bar and the auditorium is located... The bathrooms in that area is just disgusting.

My stay was horribly the was moldy the ceiling fan wasn't working so use a a standing ac which wasn't cleaned. Wifi nor tv wasn't working properly. I couldn't wait to get out of their. I would not recommend until management fix the place. Pool and jacuzzi was in terrible condition

8 family members including my 89 and 84 year old parents stayed for 5 nights. Nice stay. Tropics is just a short taxi ride to town centre. The rooms are clean. Bathroom shower doors need updating. Such a good staff.. housekeeping, office staff, bar and restaurant are very courteous, responsive and have a very helpful attitude. They even called us after we left because we forgot something in the room. The food was very good, but get to breakfast early if you want the best of it. The stew fish was top notch. Wifi in general is not good, but they went over and above to help with that too. They clearly state in writing that solving this is a main goal. Lack of hot water in some rooms is an issue that needs to be addressed and there was nuff noise and goings on with renovations. We would definitely stay there again.

I stayed here for an extended period of time, over the Christmas Holiday. The activities were limited, mainly just the pool area and bar were open. The customer service this time around was exceptionally well, the staff was very friendly and polite. Especially Nadieann, she’s wonderful at her job and her customer service exceeds expectations, she goes above and beyond. Jason & Andre are also two other employees who were amazing, and demonstrated great care and concern. As for the food and overall general service it’s not quite up to par, some improvements should be made in order to meet the needs of all their customers. An issue I encountered was having multiple ants in the room. I brought this issue to the front desk and it was handled. I would recommend this location for a short term stay.

There was no hot water or if you got some only lasted 2 minutes the water pressure in the bathrooms were very low televisions never worked units was very very dirty. pool area was close to our bedroom so it was noisy the guests above us were up at 5am singing and rapping so loud . Breakfast nothing to brag about especially when you have young children. six days of unhappiness November 16 through 22nd I would not stay here again.

Ordered from the restaurant. The wings were royally dried. Over fried. No sauce served with it yet the menu had other things. No salad dressing was served with the vegetables and I was given a dessert fork the use. I could taste the fish oil on my fries. And they placed my friends beer in a water goblet. Improvements needed.

Nice and clean environment the food was excellent, but there was water on the floor in the lobby area as it had rained earlier, I almost slipped the staffs were there and did not even move to mop it up. Even when I was leaving the water was still there! I can't comment on the rooms because I went for a function.

The place needs to upgrade ,windows can't close bed was very hard pillow too soft ,staff was nice ,I came back 2 times and found my doors open.

It was a total disappointment for me 😒, work (tileing) was being done on the stairway so we had to squeeze pass to access the room, everytime the rain 🌧 fall there was a pool of water in the doorway (my friend slipped there twice), they said it was a all-inclusive stay but I don't think they know the meaning of the word "ALL-INCLUSIVE", the workmen was making alot of noise while working playing there radio using expletives, one guest on the ground floor was shouting crying out loud like a mad person (asylum it was like) can you imagine.......!!! That was the worst first impression of what I thought was a great place 😕 😒 seriously 😐 much needs to be done about their services, there's alot more I could say but I will just leave it at this......smh.

The accommodations are comfortable and Breakfast is complimentary.

It was great! Though, there are a few things I didn't like. You can't check in until three otherwise you pay an additional 30 percent and the breakfast was bad.. my fried dumplings were undercooked and my stewed chicken was filled with bones. I'd definitely stay there again but I'll be getting my own food.

A little less than horrific... -Not wet weather friendly... And there's a distance from the eating area to the rooms. -Doors kept slamming everywhere -Not sure if there was a group of children staying there...but lots of loud talking and shouting. -Wifi kept dropping off -Maze like construction of rooms and steps quite confusing with grills everywhere on one building. -2 stars because food and staff was decent.

Its an okay place.A place to just stop over for a night and move on. Went there twice for only one night each. The first time my husband and I spent the night and left early, but and the second time, we spent the night and had breakfast the following day. Breakfast consisted of cabbage and ground provision. The cabbage was swimming in the oil. My husband could not eat it. Also, the so-called hot beverage was more like a cold beverage.

Good hotel for people traveling to Mandeville on business. The staff is friendly , property clean, breakfast was good. There is the option of a swimming pool and a bar for those who are in need of a little fun while on the property.

Great accommodation and hospitality, but the outside tile floors are dangerously slippery when wet....

The facilities are fine, however the food is not the best and there are flies all over in the conference room and dining area, despite being an enclosed space. I was eager to go home each day after the meeting concluded
