Great food and atmosphere! We came here with the kids on a Saturday and it was extremely packed. We waited about an hour to sit all six of us. Lots of seating for small parties but if you’re not going to fit in a booth then you can expect a wait. Our hostess was great and compensated us with booster seats and a high chair for the littles. The waitress was sweet and stopped by every time she passed despite the full house. We got two large Stromboli’s and onion rings which were fantastic and after we decided to eat ice scream on the patio. Five out of five stars for the great experience and good food!

Service was absolutely horrible. I took my family in for dinner and waited 45 minutes and never got seated. I tried to address the owner and he refused to speak to me. It was a horrible experience. I sure do miss the old owners. Sad for a small town business because they lost my business!! Sir, your comments below are absolutely not true. I brought my grandkids in for ice cream because we love it. When we arrived at at 6:55, my grandkids wanted food and ice cream so we put our name on the list. We were never acknowledged by anyone. At 7:30 I asked how much longer the wait would be and one of your staff members said I’m getting drinks for a table and after that I might be able to seat you. I know it was Fathers Day but only a few tables were occupied in your dining room. Finally, at 7:45 my grandkids were upset and I was trying to get someone to help us since they were hungry. I was never rude or disrespectful to anyone. I was trying to get your attention because I was told you were the owner. You checked a customer out and walked back to the ice cream counter and that’s when I asked for you to help us. We are also a loyal customer of yours as well. I was told you were short staffed which I understand but I counted 9 employees working. I had a gentleman walk in front of us and was seated immediately with his family and when he left he said are you still waiting to be seated. He said you know they close at 8. We decided to leave so I could feed my family and again, we were never acknowledged by anyone. Before you disrespect me based on your comments below, please know the entire story because I only had one interaction with your staff and I was never rude. Thank you, Kim

This is one of the best pizzas I have ever had. It is like my favorite pizza as a kid JJ's pizza in Nelsonville combined with my favorite thin pizzas in Columbus Tommy's in Upper Arlington, Rubinos, and Carluccis. If you are anywhere near Hebron try it out. I wish I had room for dessert as they had an amazing ice cream selection as well.

This place is awesome. We won a gift certificate from a car show we went to about 4 years ago or so. We got the chance to try a stromboli. We loved it. We have brought family and friends here and they love it. We are about 35 to 40 minutes away and we come here about once a month. I recommend Clay's often and I will keep recommending it.

Everyone is so friendly. The Stromboli is AMAZING. Also tried the Turkey Bacon club and the Chicken salad(which was perfect), both on chibatta and they did not disappoint

I am on the road constantly, and always enjoy trying out the iconic restaurants in smaller towns. Alas, I have high standards and am often disappointed by the fare. Clay's breaks that tradition. Although the service was spotty, the atmosphere non-existent, and some of the staff downright grating, the Stromboli IS in fact worth writing home about! Stromboli is a dish that (in my opinion) is seldom good and never great. Until now. This was fantastic! The portion size was HUGE, and I had the small! The flavors of the ingredients were rich and lively! The inner dough was soft, and the outer dough was impossibly light, crispy, and flaky! The sauce was a perfect viscosity for the purpose, and was umami rich and perfectly seasoned! This Stromboli is genuinely worth making a special stop for! On a side note unrelated to this visit, I had had their ice cream about a year ago on a different stop through Hebron, and found it to be quite tasty as well!

I love this place! Staff is always extremely helpful and friendly and the restaurant overall is always clean. Don't forget the restrooms! They are super clean as well and have been every time I've been in there. The food here is definitely great although I believe I've only had dinner once in this restaurant. I am normally a banana split or milkshake guy when I go. They're ice cream is to definitely die for! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great little ice cream parlor that serves food with big flavors.

I ordered two shredded chicken sandwiches and I must say someone needs to teach then how to make them! Not shredded..big hunks of chicken and that was it..very very dry no moisture at all. Unexceptable!...I talked to Amy at Clays and she was so sorry about our order. I understand they are changing a few things and trying to make things better. She made things right with us which we are grateful for. We have been customers there for over 50 years and will continue to be. Thank you Amy!

The pizza was great hot and delicious.

While traveling through Columbus, we stopped to see some friends of ours and they wanted to take us out to eat at this cafe. While driving to the cafe, I expected to find an average restaurant with a homey atmosphere. I was surprised when we arrived there and found out we would have to wait a little bit for a table, but that surprise disappeared quickly after our delightful experience at Clay's Cafe! It was fixed up really nice and the atmosphere was definitely a relaxed home town atmosphere. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. This was a real treat and would definitely recommend not passing up the opportunity to eat at Clay's Cafe if you get the chance!

We have been going to clays for years, last night we went and my kids ordered the kids personal pizzas. Once we received their pizza the pan was Hot (straight from over) AMY instantly came over and asked to have them back to get a different plate so the kids could touch the plates. She was EXCELLENT. Thank you, Amy for great service.

Dining room is kind of small. Very busy chicken sandwich was kind of plain. Barbecue sandwiches really good ice cream excellent.

I will definitely be back! An old time feel, family friendly atmosphere and great food. The service was unparalleled, our family loved it so much!

My husband And I love Clay's Cafe! Prices have gone up a bit but so has every other restaurant! We love their Stromboli and the carrot cake is to die for:) This place has board games that you can take to the table and play while you wait for your food. Such a great idea.

We're on vacation from Illinois and on our way back home we stopped in for a bite to eat. And was not disappointed. Food was awesome and the service was great also. I highly recommend this place to anyone Thanks Again and can't forget about the ice cream. We dined in

Walked in on a road trip to Pennsylvania and this was on the way. A little off the interstate but I am always looking for unique non chain restaurants to eat at whenever possible and convenient. This place really fit the mark! Super neat place with a mixture of Nostalgia for older places and Modernized with some amenities (bathrooms). I ordered a Burger and Fries. The process was a little confusing when I walked in the young lady asked me what I wanted to order and so I placed it immediately upon entrance but realized after the fact that it was being set up as a take out not Dine in. I decided to Dine in and they accommodated easy enough but the food was brought out in take out containers. No Big deal and if I ever pass this direction again it is sure to be on my radar.

I thoroughly enjoyed this place. It's got a small town pizza joint feel but very progressive values! I ordered and ate the best turkey club I've ever had. The staff here could not have been more delightful.

Had the fish sandwich and fries. Food was hot when was brought to our table. Fries were fresh. Lower salt than most places, which I'm happy about. The fish was a tad salty for my taste, but was good. Good menu size, decent prices. Staff was really friendly. Good service. Would definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

We really enjoyed our visit to this small town diner. Our waitress Lindsey was very nice and professional. Its always hard to take 3 small children out to lunch, but they were very accomidating. We loved the frys that seemed like the ones at the fair. My daughter and I got the calzone. Oh my it was delious. Worth the stop. Then to top if off they have hand dipped ice cream. Thar was amazing. The had a fantastic carrot cake if you are not in the mood for ice cream. Over all this was a very good experience.

I LOVE their stromboli! Also they have a great selection of ice cream. I got a peanut butter fudge milkshake and it was made perfectly. I have been to Clays about 5 times and I drive quite a ways to get there, but its worth it
