It was the worst place I've ever been in sri lanka. The floor in the room is filled with dog hair and the toilet is very dirty. The room we stayed in did not have a window that we could open and get fresh air. We chose it just because it was close to the train station, but we had a regretful and sleepless night.

We arrived last minute at the guesthouse, without booking. We just missed the last room that was booked only a few seconds before we arrived. But the owner prepared the dorm for us, which was brand new. He was really friendly and did his utmost best to help us. The place is very convenient situated: close to the railway station, bus station and local markets. And there is a very nice dog walking around. Stayed here for one night. Would recommend staying here!

Great spot, location is not for everyone but I loved it. Feels like staying in real Sri Lanka, also conveniently next to train and bus stations and the local market. Friendly atmosphere and clean.

The location is perfect if you're planning to arrive or leave Kandy by train as the hostel is only around the corner from the railway station (especially to catch the train at 3:30 am to Ella). The host is really nice and has lots of good advice and helped us making the most of our short stay. The lake, market and temple of the sacred tooth relic are walkable within a few minutes.

Hey, the place is good, price/value ratio is really good. Also it is right next to train station. The only thing that may be inconvenient for some people is that nearby temple have daily praying session from 5am to 6:30. It's quite loud. The host is very helpful. He didn't make any problem when we wanted to switch the room because choose two single beds instead of double by mistake. He also arranged for us a trip to Dambulla and Sigiriya, which was good and for good price.

Simple rooms, relatively clean. Shared bathroom is outside and the mosquito net didn't quite fit my bed. Was a good location, very close to the railway station for an early train.

I stayed here for one night before heading to Nuwara Eliya from Kandy. This place is located at back alley of the rundown residential area, the way leading to the place has no lighting at night. When we arrived at the evening, some construction is ongoing at the entrance. We stayed at the outer room with two single beds and no bathroom. It was not a pleasant stay, mosquitoes come in swarm all the time, and there's only one shared bathroom. The owner even offered us some overpriced (five times higher than normal price) train tickets. The only attractive point is the cheaper price in comparison with other guest house.

We only stayed 1 night to catch the train to Ella. Helpful host, bathroom is outside. Good for a short stay.

This place is great! Convenient location (close to bus and train station) and very friendly owner who helped us to arrange a lot of activities.☺️

Will be booking again if we visit Kandy! Lucky, who runs the home stay is amazing, very kind person and very welcoming to his abode. Please book if you visit this lovely city!
