Great experience. Waitress was very nice, food was tasty, and we didn’t have to wait very long. I enjoy eating here. Their huckleberry options are a treat. One of the best places in Helena to get breakfast.

One of the best breakfast places around. Line at the door tells you all you need to know! Worth the wait, go for it it's worth it.

Best breakfast place around town. Highly recommend the Eggs Benedict and Huckleberry Pancakes! To DIE for! And don’t skip out on the buttery, crusty hash browns *drool*

Excellent food, like I haven't had breakfast this good since I was at mom's house....I may have been slightly biased back then as well! Stop in and try it, you won't be let down!

Just wow. These guys were super busy and I can see why. Awesome food, probably one of the best restaurant breakfast I've ever had. Our large group everyone was very satisfied with their meals. The waiter was hilarious and on top of everything. Will be back when we are in town.

Overall not a bad breakfast. Couple of misses on the execution piece, but still a solid meal. Hash browns were supposed to be extra crispy and were quite soft. The avocado was pretty bruised and had a lot of areas that I removed before eating. The country gravy was legit! Thick and creamy. The sausage links in the omellete were also awesome. The NY strip was very underwhelming. Minimal flavor, inconsistent cook, and quite fatty. There were areas that were well done and dry and areas that were medium rare and chewy. The chimichurri was also not great, it had separated and lacked flavor. Next time I’ll likely get the biscuits and gravy as another table got them and they looked incredible!

Great food, but watch the wait. We stopped here quickly for breakfast before heading back on a road trip and you can definitely expect a decent wait on weekend mornings. Once your seated, their food and service is great, but not the pick if you’re in a pinch for time. Loved the omelets and the biscuits/gravy.

Awesome tasting food. I ordered a mushroom Swiss omelet. It was packed with mushrooms. Not the usual handful. Great coffee, and the biscuit was light and fluffy, and all for a very reasonable price. The server was really nice, always made sure we had everything we needed. A great overall experience!

The food is plentiful and good tasting. The price isn't too bad either. You definitely get enough food for what you pay. The service was friendly, didn't hover, but didn't leave you hanging while waiting for a drink refill. Definitely more seating inside than parking spaces outside.

Steve’s has been a place that I greatly enjoy coming to! Great servers with even better food! All nice and fresh and tasty, with large enough portion sizes to make sure you leave full! The best part? It’s inexpensive. Great climate for meeting up for breakfast whether it be with a small or large group! We love going to Steve’s, and will be sure to keep going back

We enjoyed Steve's Cafe. The food was good except for the English Muffin which was as hard as a rock. Our waiter was very polite and observant.

Delish! Homemade apple sausage and the corn beef hash Benny were great, plus perfectly crispy hash browns. And attentive service, always checking in for a coffee top off. Highly recommend.

Great food. Attentive and courteous staff. Family Restaurant/Breakfast Spot feeling. Fair pricing. Decent portions. The Hash is not from the can! I can't really ask for more.

Always enjoy eating here. There was about a 10 minute wait, but the food is worth it. Our server was very polite and knowledgeable, but forgot one of our items. The cashier was quick to remove the item from our bill. Wont stop us from returning or telling others about the wonderful food!

Nice quick lunch. Busy but fast friendly service. Had a small one egg, 2 bacon, hash browns with a toast. Just right for a quick breakfast

Steve’s is one of my favorite restaurants in Helena. I’ve been patronizing them for years, and I have never been disappointed. Food is fresh, flavorful and cooked to perfection (overcooked egg Benedict is a pet peeve of mine). Generous portions. Their homemade corned beef is particularly tasty, as well as their homemade sausages. Breakfast or lunch fare, sweet or savory, you can’t go wrong and it’s always delicious. Also, the restaurant is spotless. There’s no such a thing as a sticky sauce bottle, or a dusty spot. Service is always top notch. Our waiter today was Dan, who already waited on us several times. He is very helpful, with a touch of humor, perfectly wrapping up an already stellar experience. The rest of the staff, waiters/waitresses and hosts/hostesses are all equally lovely.

Steve’s has always been a top notch restaurant, until today. We were seated and waited on reasonably quickly. After that the problem began. Four other tables were seated. These four tables were served. We are still waiting. Finally half of our order arrived. After a period of time I caught the server’s attention and asked about the rest of our order. He went and got it and it was cold. Not lukewarm but cold . Scrambled egg are not good cold. The server took 25% off our bill but that did come close to the aggravation we felt. Money wasn’t the issue.

Great gluten free breakfast options! I had the gf huckleberry waffle with huckleberry syrup (& bacon of course). It was one of the best waffles I’ve ever had, even before I had to go gluten free!

Great food, decent atmosphere. They really cram together the tables so there is not much elbow room. We came for breakfast everyone enjoyed their food.

I took my family to Steves cafe for the first time today. We had heard good things and it was nearly two o’clock in the afternoon and they close at 2:30 so I called them and asked them if we could come in and if we did if we wouldn’t be rushed out at 2:30. They assured us that we could finish our lunch so we went in to have a meal. I got a bbq bacon cheeseburger, ($13.75) and my wife got a taco salad, (can’t remember the price). My burger was decent, it had VERY GOOD THICK bacon, but it wasn’t anything super special. I got a salad with my burger and it was just basic iceberg/carrot/red cabbage mix. That’s the lettuce mix that was in my wife’s taco salad too. And then we paid over $9 for a kids burger meal. The French fries were good and hot, but again, it wasn’t anything outlandishly special, and the prices were extremely high. The only other things we got were two buttermilk pancakes for $4.50, and two coffees and two chocolate milks. Overall it wasn’t a huge meal, but with tip it was $60, so I found that quite expensive. Nadine, our server, was very sweet and kind, and everyone there was nice though. Not quite as good of a value as I’d hoped, but worth checking out.

Had a good traditional breakfast here on the way out. Fair prices and good service, but food was a bit slow getting to us. Best part of the breakfast--hashbrowns, done like we have never had better before! Would come here just for hash, super crisp outside and moist & soft inside.

Great local spot. good menu selection and good prices. hearty biscuits and gravy. not the best I've had but certainly not the worst. pretty darn good and a great value. Restaurant is very clean and they were practicing social distancing in the dining room, seating people at every other table instead of right next to other occupied tables. Staff very friendly. Overall a great experience and somewhere I would definitely recommend for Breakfast or Lunch.

Steve's breakfast tasted good, Although I was surprised that they only cook hash browns on one side and their omelettes didn't have their ingredients folded inside the egg. Interesting. 🤣

Great food!! Denver omelet was differently made but very delicious. It had large chunks of ham. Huckleberry pancakes were yummy. We had a large group that came in and they worked us in on separate tables. They made our bills work as we had kids sitting at their own table. Very nice and friendly staff. Great place to eat.

Went to Steve’s for the first time yesterday! I have celiac’s disease and so a new restaurant is always a gamble, but their gluten free menu is amazing! Not to mention they serve gluten free, house made pancakes/waffles made from Bob’s Redmill. I got the short stack huckleberry pancakes w/ bacon and eggs (boy did I miss huckleberries) that comes with 4 pieces of huge bacon, 2 eggs, and 2 pancakes for $13….The pancakes are the size of a dinner plate and there was no “gf” charge! I could only finish one. And had to take home the bacon & eggs, and the 2nd pancake. Simply amazing and, most importantly, I have had no cross contamination issues so far. Highly recommend if you are gluten free and/or have celiac. I haven’t tried the lunch menu, but they do offer gf buns.

👍👍 Terrific staff and food. Dan was our waiter at the counter and was very busy time following 11:00 mass at St. Helena Cathedral. Although all were slammed, the staff was great, chipping in, working together and we could see the kitchen staff working very hard too. My veggie omelet was absolutely deli...
