This area of Jones Beach on the West end has shallow water, tide pools and sand bars making it a place people bring children for a beach day. However, there is no lifeguard and the sign says no swimming, so you are on your own in that regard. Parking in Summer is $10 per car. Boats can tie up here as well, and there is a pavilion, picnic tables and BBQs. There are also restrooms and very limited parking.

A lesser known area of within Jones Beach State Park, situated along South Oyster Bay. Dramatic tidal cycles in the lagoon expose a sandy narrow strip of beach that is only accessible by wading or kayak. Beautiful spot to take pictures.

Quiet, clean water lots of little fish and crabs. Walking/biking path connects to the old nature center, then eventually to the main boardwalk.

Great spot to dock and relax. Right by the Jones inlet. Sit back and watch the water and boats go by

Nice park. Used to fish the work docks but fishing past few years has been poor

Nice place to sit on the dock and relax. Getting a little more popular. At low tide one can walk out to the exposed sand islands.

Mosquitoes was crazy at the parking lot, as soon as we got off the car, swamps of mosquitoes were attacking us. When we went back to the car, swamps were attacking us again. My sister got over 50 bites on her just getting off and into the car. She ended up going to urgent care and was prescribed oral steroids.

Not being maintained. Missing cleats, moring poles have nails sticking out boardwalk full of clam shells, crab pieces and garbage. WhT a shame. I use to love it.
