Oh what a place. They have cancelled my booking just couple of days before the trip. Very unprofessional, unethical place to visit. They welcome locals when they don't have foreigners. But whenever they get $ or more Rs, they cut you giving silly excuses.... I will give minus points for such places...

Do not recommend. Can't trust the words they say. They promise one price but when we go to booking they say another price. Management is disgraceful and not genuine people. Think before you pay. If anyone goes with them get a legal agreement before you pay the advance.

Staff seem to be a lot disconnected with hotel regulations and their guests. Specially this person called Meril had poor communication skills which bothered our peaceful getaway. So It was not a very enjoyable experience.

I just arrived and I already adore it. Fantastic location, spotless rooms. Really welcoming staff. Sadly, the restaurant is not open, however there are many of fantastic restaurants and bars nearby. They feature a great pool and a gym. Additionally, the area is near a beach! Owner Ravi is very accommodating and nice.

Rooms clean and well equipped. Helpful staff. Overall quite a nice place to stay. It's just a pity that the beach behind the pool is so neglected. The only downside was the proximity of the church which was noisy from the early morning hours

Hotel looking good. But I couldn't stay in the hotel because the room I booked had a problem. So they gave me a villa next to the hotel. Food is good. Staff is good. Good location.

Best for comfort and space. With amazing direct view of the ocean with kitchen, living and dining area within the apartments. Its fully maintained and serviced.

Room itself is very good. It's a suit with tv area, kitchen area and the bedroom. Very spacious. Staff was good, but you do feel some rudeness when communicating. Checking out time was 11 and they refused to give us 15 minutes to get ready. Pool is small and no kids pool. Food is really expensive.

Loved every moment spent in this Hotel. The suits were clean, spacious with ocean view from the balcony. Spent the nights listening to the waves under the stars. Very Relaxing. The staff were welcoming, well trained, warm and friendly.

It was a great experience that night and day we stayed here. Such a lovely hotel and the Stuff was amazing. They help us a lot. They even took our photos. And guide us. Really wonderful view and the food was amazing. I really recommended this place to anyone.

The suites offer a unique experience which is a nice change from normal hotel rooms. Suites are comfortable, spacious and offer amenities​ such as a kitchenette and a washing machine. However beach is quite dirty with coarse sand. And the food on offer are not quite satisfying either. Overall though, it was a pleasant experience.

One of the best-kept secrets in Negombo. Massive rooms, incredible views, kind and attentive staff and a few minutes walk from the tourist areas, but without being touristy. I could have easily extended my stay here another 4 days, and next time will plan accordingly. 10/10

The location of the hotel makes it exceptionally good for a relaxing weekend getaway. Nice view. Great food at reasonable prices and very friendly staffs.

The hotel is new. The room is comfortable and facing beach and sea. Great amenities. The breakfast was full English breakfast. You may choose Sri Lanka food as well. The rooftop dining is at 5th floor. The seaview is wonderful. Tranquility is what you have here.

Worst/Pathetic/Dreadfull/Disgusting/Smelling/Scam/Fraud/ Experience. Had gone with family for celebrating a very beautiful occasion but turned out to be our worst nightmare.Not just the experience of going through such a worst customer service specially at the front desk but also not giving back the money despite cancelling our stay immediately after going through this horrible experience. Dreadful, Mattress terrible, Towels/ bedding seen much better days and not sure when it was cleaned, rusty dirty bins. It was smelling, flies everywhere.Cigarette butts in all places,No hot water.Duvet was broken and smelly. Sincere advice to those who would like to take a chance by making a booking as you are not just going to loose the money but also going to carry the memory of the pathetic, unmaintained, disrespectful, worst, ill mannered experience from the hotel staff. Also i wish these hotel staff can be taught how to behave with women specially as we are paying the money to have a pleasant stay there.So give respect and take respect.You are not doing a charity fraudsters.

Very unprofessional, dirty place to visit. Pathetic hotel, the photos are all misleading. Its a less than luxurious experience at a 5 star price! It is a small hotel with full of mosquitos. The bathroom closet was broken n room smelled of cigarettes. Horrible customer service. Specially this guy named naseer who took the cash for 5 days and when we asked it back he never returned it. SO THINK BEFORE YOU PAY THEY JUST LOOT PEOPLE. And no respect towards women and their safety.

Amazing rooms with a great view, huge bed rooms with a kitchen, staff is amazing, beach is not that clean, but that’s not the responsibility of the hotel I guess. I recommend this

Nice beach view hotel all rooms are suite big suite room. Suite rooms have kitchen facilities also with 4 burner cooker and Microwave oven. Cool swimming pool.

Great location, lovely staff. We had the beach front suite, which was spacious, clean, well maintained and most of all, a gorgeous view. The rooftop restaurant is great too, although they could improve on their alcohol choices--they only serve beer. Food quality and portion sizes are good. Will definitely be visiting again!!

Really nice and super clean place! The staff is really nice and it's on the beach. The beach isn't the nicest but it's really good for a four stars hotel :) would highly recommend. Great location and really good to relax after you arrived!

The rooms are spacious, clean and fresh. The food was great though the menu was a bit limited. Loved the rooftop. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend this place.

This was a short ride from the airport, which was a bonus, following a tough overnight flight. The room was pretty clean and very spacious. Staff was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Great place to see the sunset. However, an absolute blocker to ever returning to this location is the proximity of the church, which is literally 10 meters away. They started ringing bells and singing songs before 6 AM both nights we were there. There was very little sound insulation and the sensation as if someone would put a pot over your head and start banging it with a spoon.

The place was nice. The staff were accommodating to a point. We booked the wrong dates by accident.They were good enough to cancel the other date and void the charge to check ya in that night. However there were no more one bedroom suites, which was what we had booked, So the decided to give us a two room suite and lock the other bedroom, which was fine we didn’t need it. However I thought it would have gone a long way if they just gave us the other room since no one else would be able to use it anyway since it was in our suite. Their check out time is at 11am, which is very early for a beach hotel. We were leaving to the airport at 12pm anyway. But they insisted we needed to check out at 11. There was no one else checking into our room. At 11 they called us from the front desk to tell us to leave. Then eventually they agreed to 11:45. Again, it would have gone a long way from a service perspective just to let it go without harassment since we ended up leaving at 12 anyway and there was no issue. Even though I liked the place and the staff were OK it wouldn’t be my first choice.

The Apollo Best Western is the ultimate property for both business and leisure travellers as it caters to families, groups and singles, it is absolutely fabulous. Centrally located close to the major shopping area and close to all Newcastle has to offer, it was an ideal base for our stay. It is lucky to have an amazing team of staff who want guests to feel welcome and enjoy their stay. We will be returning to this excellent hotel. I love the view and adored the view! Menu suited all tastes, my chicken was divine. My waitress was friendly and efficient. The restaurant has large windows which look out onto some gum trees making it a lovely view to enjoy whilst enjoying the food and wine. I will be back.... ♥️💝💝💝

This hotel is not prominently visible when you're driving along the Negombo Kudapaduwa ( කුඩා පාඩුව ) road. But still the place was good. Situated by the beach. So that the guests can just walk on to the sea shore in a minute. They have a swimming pool and the staff was friendly. I spent few hours with my wife and son with some co-workers of NDB Bank . The lunch menu we had was simple, but I think the chefs can make further improvements in terms of taste. Which is why I'm not giving them five stars in my rating.
