This premise contains multiple businesses such foods, clothing, liquor, beauty products etc. A well maintained public wash room also available. Outdoor seating areas are available. Street food items available with music on weekends starting from Friday night. Good for a hangout. Parking is available along the road with tickets.

The Old Colombo Dutch Hospital is considered to be the oldest building in the Colombo Fort area dating back to the Dutch colonial era in Sri Lanka. It is now a heritage building and a shopping and dining precinct.

It’s located near the world trade centre. It was basically a hospital which in later turned into a nice hangout spot with cafe and restaurant and few shops. It’s a warm and nice place. Evening would be so great. There are few attractions near to it . I suggest you can go for a walk in beach after your food here. Monsters of crabs is a must try place here. It’s a bit costly place . But you can spend few hours chilling here

Dutch hospital, by its name really was a dutch hospital. The government was kind enough to preserve the structure and open cafes in the same area. World Trade centre lies opposite to it and is at stones throw distance from the sea. There are multiple cafes serving tea, juices , alcohol and food. Live music is also played here. Unfortunately the cafes do not reduce their individual music volume when live music is being played. I myself went over to one cafe and requested them to turn down their volume so we could hear the live music. A good place to spend a evening.

Dutch Hospital is a shopping Mall that is situated right in the center of what has become Colombo's business district. It has several good restaurants that cater to the many tourists who stay in the hotels of the area and to the office workers working of the district.

A great atmosphere and location. Excellent, lovely, very efficient and multi tasking staff. A wide selection of beers - craft and cask. Proper cider.. What more do you want? Yes, it can be packed but that is because it's such a great pub and the staff will get you served quicker than any other pub I know.

It's a perfect blend of history and modernity. The beautifully maintained heritage building offers a variety of excellent restaurants and shops. The common area in the middle provides a relaxing space, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. It's an ideal spot for shopping, dining, and casual hangouts, attracting families with its good brands and diverse eateries.

Not much here except for restaurants, bars and a souvenir shop. Go to say you've been there, but don't expect too much unless you're in the mood for food/drink. Perhaps it comes alive at night!

This is one of the iconic places in the city of Colombo. Originally built by the Dutch Monarch as a hospital complex for the wounded soldiers. The complex is build spaciously and with beautiful architectural work. Resently this building complex was restored and converted into a shopping centre and few restaurant and bars are opened up for the travellers and visitors of the Colombo city. If your are looking have a meal you have few restaurants to cater for your satisfaction. If you are looking for a bar, then it is also available. On weekend the place get really crowded but plenty of space available. Occasionally there is a musical band is playing in the bar area. Most of the dining area is located in the outside area. A clothing and souvenir shops are available for shoppers.

Old Dutch hospital is a very nice old place converted as a shopping complex with many restaurants. It’s great to dine in there. Heladiv tea club, ministry of crabs, tap house, black pepper etc are available there. A lovely place to spend time with friends. Good for weekend hangouts. Many foreigners like to visit this place.

As the name depicts the place is a renovated surviving building which was used by the dutch as a hospital. It has a good variety of restaurants so you'd probably find one match your taste. Most places, if not all allow you to reserve ahead or you can just visit and dine on an available table. The place attracts locals and tourists alike.

A must visit for all those visiting Colombo specially weekends .Its full fun time .Food lovers will enjoy as they will have lot’s of options in one area .A full time enjoyment as you can enjoy dance and music with shopping and food .Time flies as you never know how. The administration has converted the area to fun specially for travellers as their is not much to do in the city after 6pm. A few change’s will be welcome . Please add more of vegetarian food items as many vegetarians from India and other parts do visit the island country of Sri Lanka . The food served should be fresh and hot . My experience with the dosa was not so good . Sadly to say that there are beggars roaming around . This gives baad image of the country . These people can be given work like small movable stalls on wheels or something.

One item, double charge on card! Tourists WATCH OUT! I bought one item at this DUTCH clothing store and got charged twice on my debt card from the same store, they put my card in several machines and said that one machine wasn’t working. When I went back to discuss this double charge with them, they showed me paper receipts of only one charge which was correct, my suspicions are that the paper receipts were just for one machine, but they said the paper receipts were from both machines… hmm To me this seems like a sophisticated scam with paperwork to cover their trail, but The Facts of the Matter are that they charged my card twice. One amount was for a couple of dollars difference. My advice is to use cash, and if you have to, use a credit card so you can dispute the second charge if you get it. I used a debt card (Rookie mistake abroad) and the manager at the store asked me to go to my bank to ask them why my bank charged me twice, claiming it was my banks fault… Common man, these guys are hoping that most tourists won’t check their bank statements before it’s to late, however I did and it was still to late. BUYERS BEWARE, your’ve been warned.

One of the trendiest parts of the Colombo city! Basically this is the old hospital area which they have revamped! This place has some of the trendiest drinking spots in town and there are a variety of places to choose from a normal pub like atmosphere to a more upscale rooftop bar and restaurant! The road adjoining which is called the hospital street is very famous for hosting various art, jazz and street food festivals on a monthly basis and attracts locals as well as tourists to this area! A must try place for a tourist to hangout and experience a different upscale side of the Colombo city

Such a lovely place. Would definitely go there again to hang out. They have live music there. There’s are a lot options when it comes to food. Unfortunately I had a beef steak and it was way too hard to chew and I had to swallow big pieces 😫 in the end I gave up eating it coz it was not possible to eat that stake. Well you can always try something else at other restaurants. This was the outside hut stall they served. Had a hot chocolate at Italiano pizza place which is inside the building and that was actually nice. It’s a nice place to relax and to chill. So regardless of the bad expletive of the food i would definitely go there again.

Been here on 2015, while visiting Sri Lanka with my friends. Nice location on the city, it’s really good to see how they revitalised heritage area and put another function to it. Very good ambience of Sri Lankan Architecture mixed with english fluent architecture. It might be the most visited place by local and tourist to eat and shopping. On saturday night they held live music at that time there. The place is clean. There is a lot of souvenir shop here for tourist, Barefoot and the others. Sure will comeback here soon after the pandemic.

Nice Place to Chill with your Friends. The Evening vibe is very cool. The Old Colombo Dutch Hospital (known as The Dutch Hospital) is considered to be the oldest building in the Colombo Fort area dating back to the Dutch colonial era in Sri Lanka. It is now a heritage building and a shopping and dining precinct. Must experience.

Dutch Hospital is one of the oldest buildings in Colombo (since 1681). It was built as an infirmary for the Dutch who ruled the Country for more than 150 years. Since 2011, it has served as a shopping and dining precinct. The colonial dutch architecture is the zenith of the location and it is the home of some of Sri Lanka's best dining restaurants.

If you're looking for a place to eat, shop, hangout, meet friends and chill, this beautifully maintained heritage building is it! It is lined with great brands of restaurants and shops as well as has a common area in the middle where you can just relax. My personal favourites here are Ceylon Curry Club and Odel. Parking here, like almost everywhere in the city, is paid. Follow @thatgoangirl on Instagram for more things to do in Colombo
