Wayne
Newton
has
opened
up
his
former
Las
Vegas
home
to
tours.
Visitors
will
get
to
tour
the
horse
stables,
the
main
house,
a
small
collection
of
birds
and
animals
in
cages
(zoo),
Wayne
Newtons
plane,
his
automobile
collection
and
a
museum
of
his
costumes
and
memorabilia.
The
main
house
has
an
impressive
collection
of
artwork
such
as
Vincent
Van
Gogh's
painting
of
sunflowers
which
Wayne
never
hung
on
the
wall
and
still
sits
on
the
floor.
My
thoughts
on
the
tour
was
how
unimpressed
I
was
at
his
home.
It
was
so
dated.
For
someone
who
had
so
much
money,
I
would
have
thought
his
residence
would
have
been
more
stylish
and
current.
The
grounds
were
sparce.
Not
much
to
really
see
for
a
tour,
and
not
well
kept.
The
tour
guide
had
a
wealth
of
knowledge
about
the
horses
and
the
stables
and
the
redidences
on
the
property.
There
were
several
homes
on
the
property
including
the
original
house
he
lived
in
before
he
built
the
grand
house,
and
a
smaller
house
that
his
current
wife
lived
in
before
they
got
married.
I
was
taken
aback
when
the
tour
guide
asked
for
tips.
The
price
of
the
tour
I
thought
was
pricey
and
then
to
tip
ontop
of
that,
I
was
not
expecting
to
hand
out
more
cash.
