We absolutely loved visiting the chocolate factory and cactus garden. The chocolate factory: Walk along the hall to see the chocolate-making happening (though this may be quick if you’re visiting when they’re not actually making chocolates, as we were). Then visit the shop to buy chocolates to take home or other treats to eat there like shakes, cannolis and more. We chose just enough to eat there rather than spend $50+ on chocolates that would just melt in the car. The cactus garden: stroll along the wide, paved paths to explore so many species of cactus - more than you probably even knew existed. The gardens are shaded enough to get breaks from the Vegas sun. We left there with bellies full of sugar and favorite species of cactus!

Love the beautiful holiday Cactus Garden! The lights are really nicely done and wind throughout the plant area. Inside, the store was open and I had some yummy samples while I filled my cart with gifts! I built my own box, got stocking stuffers, and pretty holiday boxes of chocolates and liqueurs. The peanut brittle is one of my favorites because it's crunchy, yet smooth and easy to eat. Plus, they offer military discounts, which is a great bonus!

My family and I enjoyed the holiday lights. Took lots of photos & videos. Had a hot coco drink for $8, & to enter is $2 each person. They do have a security checkpoint at the front. I went around 5pm. Parking wasn’t so bad. But it would have been more nice to hear better holiday music while walking around.

Really adorable little chocolate shop. Everything is made on site and it's delicious! The cafe is mostly for shakes and sweets, not for a full menu food spot, so come prepared to just eat sweets. The cactus garden was amazing. And it's free to walk through. Totally a treat when a Vegas vacation can be pretty pricey.

The chocolates here are decadent and the store is clean, organized, and have friendly staff. The cactus garden is breathtaking. However, hands down, the best part of coming here is doing the Chocolate and Wine Tasting!!! Our Chocolatier was amazing. He kept us entertained, had us laughing, and taught us a lot about tasting chocolate. This is a must-do if you are looking for something to do off of the strip and away from the casinos on your next Vegas visit.

I'm glad they had late hours for viewing the Valentine's Day lights. I really loved the big hearts displays. I look forward to buying the candy and was glad they had a special on chocolate 🍫 covered strawberries! 🍓

How fun and surprising. We were looking for a unique pace to wall and we certainly found one. The cactus were all decorated for Xmas and the factory was cool. The samples provided upon entry were so good we bought TWO bags! Going back again this week to see the garden with the lights on!

Great place to visit if you're in the area. We planned a self guided tour which was free. It's definitely not as big as I thought it was going to be. I was expecting a Willy Wonka tour for some reason based on the size of the building...lol. We wanted to see a 'live' candy factory production, but it was recommended that we call first as production can vary based on their orders. The best part of the tour was the pecan brittle and fresh chocolate(s). I've never tasted anything so fresh. The pecan brittle was so buttery, fresh and delicious!😋 They gave samples throughout the factory. Then we took some photos in the cactus garden.🌵 Rate: 4.0 only because we didn't get a chance to see candy being made live.

A must do in Vegas, especially with the family! The factory is really interesting on its own and the cafe has some delicious desserts and coffees. But the best part is the Cactus Garden at night during holiday seasons! The lights are gorgeous and it's inexpensive to get in. Stroller and wheelchair friendly too!

My friend and I went there after I heard from someone else that their hot chocolate is one of the best. My friend and I tried their chocolate orange and frozen hot chocolate, and it was really amazing. Their frozen hot chocolate was very thick and creamy. It's definitely a lot for a single person, but it's so delicious. You can also take a self guided tour of the factory but only from the outside. You can see how the factory is set up through the glass window and see what different components do and how the chocolate is made. They have the process listed on the glass pane. It was busy when we went there. A whole tour bus stopped there to try and buy their products. My friend and I bought a lot of chocolates too. Definitely recommend stopping by and adding this place to your list of things to do in Vegas. There is plenty of surface parking around the facility, so that shouldn't be a problem.

What a great place for a tour and samples. Everything was awesome and we cant wait to go again. Vic in the store had a large amount of knowledge on the products and history. Hopefully you will get to talk to him.

The Ethel M Chocolates Factory & Cactus Garden is a delightful and unexpected combination of sweet indulgence and natural beauty. The factory tour provides an inside look at the chocolate-making process, and it's a treat for the senses as you witness the creation of these delectable treats. The real surprise, however, is the adjacent Cactus Garden. This desert oasis is a serene contrast to the chocolate factory. It's home to a diverse collection of cacti and succulents, beautifully landscaped and a perfect place to stroll and unwind. The best part? The visit is free! Whether you're a chocolate lover, a nature enthusiast, or simply seeking a unique experience, this hidden gem in Las Vegas offers something for everyone. Don't forget to grab some chocolates from the factory store as a sweet souvenir of your visit. 🍫🌵🏭

Wow this is a nice fine right outside of Vegas. This is a division of Mars and the chocolate is so good like some od the big names you see in malls. The production is small and nice to see how things are made. I suggest the liquor chocolates and these brittle bars are so good.

There is an excellent cactus garden outside. The chocolate factory self walking tour is very interesting. The free samples upon entering the gift shop were very tasty. The prices of the chocolate are way beyond expensive. They are priced even higher than imported French, Swiss, and Belgian chocolates, which are superior.

We went to see the holiday lights at the cactus garden. It was well set up with appointment times. Everyone kept to their groups and social distanced. The lights were beautiful and the gift shop was less crowded. I actually spent more money than normal because I was able to look around. It was nice to still be able to carry on this tradition even with the restrictions of 2020.

Amazing Christmas display... No long wait even if you don't have a reservation

  • 5/5 Anthony L. 3 years ago on Google
Great spot. Reservations were easy. Covid rules made it way better. Less crowded then previous years. Also, Santa is behind a plexiglass and is still wearing a mask. Hard to trust that. My kid was confused.

Ethel M's "Lights of Love" show is another great experience in Las Vegas. The display is in the Cactus Garden and very eye-pleasing. Enjoy the background music of popular love songs that will have you swaying to the beat or holding hands with our loved one. It's very romantic. Valentine chocolates can be bought inside the store.

During Christmas and Valentines Day they cover their 300 specious of plants/cactus with lights! It’s beautiful! We did the wine and chocolate tasting as well. If you want to see the factory in action I recommend going in the morning/day. Our reservation for the wine and chocolate tasting was at 5:30 and there was no active lines going in the factory. They have a cafe and several options to buy.

On Sunday, the factory wasn't open but you can still see the machines behind the glass walls, next to the store. They were hand-dipping strawberries and canolli and brewing fresh coffee as well as selling a large variety of gourmet chocolates. Outside, the cactus garden was open for self-guided tours.

  • 5/5 Gwendolyn R H. 11 months ago on Google
Lovely place to visit and get high quality chocolates. We spent about 20 minutes selecting our box of chocolates. I highly suggest building your own box by the way. It's a great deal in my opinion. it's also cool to watch the chocolate factory in action. My father and I loved this part of the visit as we both have a sweet tooth. If you're looking for a kid-friendly activity this is it. And there are eats here that are sugar free, so keep that in mind.

Cactus Garden is beautiful. So many different types of cactus. The factory wasnt producing due to being closed for Easter but still open for viewing and purchasing. The whole place was clean and organized. The staff throughout the factory was very friendly. Jackie Bee helped us during the transaction and she is such a sweet soul. Great employees! They were sold out of 2 chocolates I wanted so it was a bummer but they were able to recommend alternatives. The cannoli was super yummy. And they gave me a free chocolate at the start of the factory viewing. They also have self guided tours which is what I did. Along with a event area for private events. I will def go back!

They have a viewing area and they give out samples 👍 you get to see them processing chocolate or brittle or whatever they're working on, a nice gift shop (pricy) but if you make a purchase they you can get a modest sized insulated tote for your goodies for 2 $, that's s pretty good deal overall. They did up the outside with lights for Christmas and Valentines day and we were there at Valentines day. Very nice, they had a large heart shaped photo op.❤️

We came at 8pm on the Christmas weekend. There was a line for the entrance but it moved fairly fast. We got to the entrance after ~15min and it was $2 per person entrance fee for the Christmas lighted Cactus garden. It is a one way loop with many decorations, lights, drink shops, photo spots and more. At the end of the loop, you can enter a chocolate shop with a factory demo. You can buy hot chocolate and other gourmet chocolate, but be prepared they are pricey. Overall a great experience!

Went to Ethel M for their 30th Annual Holiday Cactus Garden Lights and it was incredible. The staff at the gift shop were incredibly kind and accommodating and so professional. Explained the operating hours when we arrived to stay in line for the christmas lights and that they would be closing at 8pm on Christmas Eve. We got chocolates, hot chocolate and cupcakes beforehand standing in line which went very quickly and all staff from inside to security outside were incredible. Highly recommend to go. We got a lovely chocolate when entering the factory as well. Absolutely stunning and we felt really looked after. Halfway through the gardens they also had a food truck with the drinks and sitting area in case you went to the garden first instead of gift shop 🥰🥰🥰

Fantastic FREE tour of the chocolate making process, along with a couple of samples. The chocolate is so rich, creamy and decadent. But what made the time for us was the super-knowledgeable, super-enthusiastic greeter (Vic, I think?). He was so friendly and welcomed everyone who entered. But for those wanting a bit more history, he was happy to oblige. He was a great storyteller and we loved learning the story of Ethel M. We came on a Monday morning and it wasn’t busy at all. The tour itself is self-guided and very short, but so cool how you can see them at work making the chocolates and candy. If you come on the weekends, the factory isn’t operating, but they do offer chocolate tastings (book ahead and there is a fee). I was sad my kids weren’t with me because they would have loved it! The real delight was the cactus garden. Absolutely beautiful and full of a variety of cacti and other dessert plants.

Ethel m's was a good stop. The tour is free and self guided although very short. If you look you can find some good budget chocolates; however, some seemed way overpriced. No worries though, you'll be given a free piece of chocolate once you get someone's attention. The cactus garden is a must stop with an amazing collection of cactus. We give the factory almost a perfect score only because sometimes staff can be busy as it's a busy place and some seemed distracted even when not helping customers. Overall, a solid stop though and good place to visit.

Such a nice way to spend a day and eat chocolate. The employees are super nice and sweet. The chocolate is super yummy. The tour is cute. The garden is so adorably prickly. Over all a nice place to take the family for a little walk. The price of the candy is a bit high. But they have a happy hour.

Great place to with family during the holiday season. They always do a great job with all of the Christmas lights and they add on and improve the display every year. The chocolate is a bit pricey, but if you get anything, the hot chocolate is worth it.

It was a beautiful night. I feel bad for my little one because we don't get out as often. Everyone was nice, things were structured and it was overall a great break from what has become the new normal. The staff were really pleasant and organized. It was really nice and I hope it stays that way.

Beautiful Christmas display as usual. Been coming here for the past 4yrs. Since I moved to Vegas and enjoy all of their holiday displays. Let no forget their amazing chocolates and hot chocolate. Happy Holidays Ethel M.

Do not order online. They will charge more than will be on the order confirmation. No one will answer emails and when you call they keep telling you they will refund but it never shows up. Only go to the store and make sure the chocolate is what you paid for since they have issues with mixing up things like sea salt caramels having peanut butter inside them. The cactus garden is nice though like everyone says the chocolate quality not so much.
