As a visiting Texan who’s struggled to find good Mexican food on this trip, this place ranks highly for me! Food was rich, good quality, lower price than others, and service was fast. 👌🏻

The service was fast and delightful. The food was delicious. However, there seemed to be a fly breeding ground in the light fixture above our table. The flies never went for our food, but they were still there and it was a bit off putting.

The hostess was incredibly rude. We were a party of 11 and the hostess made it seem like there was no where she could seat us. This restaurant is huge and they did not appear to be short staffed like so many restaurants are. We offered to split our party but she couldn't get past how to split us up. It was ridiculous. The server was fine. Some of the food was delicious...the tex-mex quesadillas were yummy but the steak torta was not what was expected. One of our meals come out ice cold. Don't eat the bean dip if you're a vegetarian...I'm definitely paying for it now.

Great food, selections and great service! We are here (from Texas) on a vacation for a few weeks and we were a bit apprehensive of eating Mexican food in N. Carolina, but this place proved us otherwise! I had the fajita quesadilla special and my wife had the poblano chili rellenos and both were as authentic as food from Mexico. Plus this place has a “salsa bar” with a great variety of salsas of various flavors and spice levels to choose from. We are headed back again this Sunday for another taste of Mexico!

Arrived in Hendersonville NC around 8:30PM on Friday night looking for some good food and we found it at El Paso Mexican before they closed. The staff seemed nice but tired but the food was very filling and delicous. Next time we come we will eat in the restaurant. Real Score 4.4

The main food was tasty, I’m not one for Mexican cuisine but this was good. The only downside was the fried ice cream had a very gritty texture. Our server helped me specialize my drink with making me a mango lemonade.

I do not recommend this place. Rude service, noisy and smells funny. The food was inedible. The drinks came after the meal. I ordered a taco salad and it was like a watery mess in a burnt tortilla bowl. I sent it back ( I asked for a salad) the waiter was rude and I ended up with shreds of lettuce with some tomatoes and a side of runny beans. Yuck. The guacamole tasted like there was no avocado in it. Stay away if you like good food.

Our server was amazing at her job, not just with my husband and me, but she had command of her station/tables the entire meal. Food orders went in, and food came out almost as fast. Sizzling and perfect. She anticipated needs and gave space to enjoy our dining experience as well!

Service was a tiny bit slow, but we went and a busy time on a Sunday at lunch. Food was very good little bit spicier than usual but high-quality.

Ordered a to go order, arrived, paid and asked for a reciept. The reciept was not itemized, so I asked and she told me there was a three dollar charge fee for using credit cards. This fee is not posted anywhere. Then they only have me one if my 2 bags. When I realized it and returned the manager said you left your meal (no sorry or responsibility). I asked for and got a refund for that part of the meal and ended up eating Wendy's . Would not be high on my recommendation list.

Food is excellent, they have a salsa bar which I really appreciate! The service could be a little better and the atmosphere could be jazzed up a bit but that definitely doesn't stop me from going! 😅

The food here was so fresh! I ordered the burrito with beans beef. It also had cactus leaves in it and other fresh ingredients. The salad was fresh. All of the staff is wonderful! This was a really great meal that was under $15 without the cocktails.

So just an FYI since the move. This a completely different restaurant. The menu has changed and they no longer have the expected dishes. They also do not offer sweet tea. Probably not a deal breaker for some, but good to know before you go if it is. They also offer sushi which is very different for a Mexican establishment, not sure about this change.

We came in for dinner and enjoyed the steak burrito and chicken tacos. The salsa and chips were great. The service was prompt and friendly.

This restaurant is huge! Probably a great place for events with large parties. The food is good. Seems to be of good quality. The portions are large so bring your appetite! Good selection of America’s idea of Mexican. They also offer traditional Mexican and non-Mexican selections as well So there is something for everyone in that large party.

Liked the atmosphere. Food was Great. Our server (# 3 Mine) was very pleasant. She came around just enough to take care of our needs in a timely manner without hovering. All in all a very good experience.

We ordered and picked up our meal to go. They had it ready quickly and it was hot. Your standard Mexican restaurant style food, fajitas had lots of veggies and everything was well seasoned. 4 stars because the chips were VERY stale. Other than that would recommend!

I ordered sweet tea. I got unsweetened. The waiter never came around around to tell him. Then I told the cashier. He said I still had to pay for it. When all I wanted was what I ordered. Never got my sweeten tea. poor quality of service.

Definitely Tex-Mexican cuisine. Goood comfort food. Salsa bar has the hotter salsa selection. Lunch portions are pretty big

Remembering how much I loved this place the first time I was here years ago, I drove my family almost an hour (in part, because we got lost) for them to try it themselves. I wish it had been as I remembered—the most authentic food I’d eaten in the US. Unfortunately, however, El Paso is now more decent Americanized Mexican food with an overpriced menu. Pictured is the fajita plate after we fished the few pieces of meat out of a double order AND ate more peppers than we’d like just to fill our tortillas. This was a great place in the past, but we are leaving disappointed this time.

Excellent restaurant. We went there after lunch hour around 1:54pm. Not many cars around and I wondered if I had made a mistake. Great atmosphere, friendly servers, GREAT Mexican food. I highly recommend El Paso #1.
