One of my favorite places to visit on the weekend. A quick 1.5 hour drive from Nashville and you feel like you are in a different world all together. The lake and river are beyond gorgeous with sunsets that make you believe the sky is artwork.

This is one of the crowned jewels of Kentucky. We have been coming here for years after I went to school at Murray State just down the road. There is so much room and lakefront here that you never feel like you are right on top of everyone. Very quiet and peaceful at night at most of the resorts. Beautiful place to spend time and wind down while on vacation. Enjoy! Also, lots to do in the Land Between the Lakes or LBL. Make sure to check out the buffalo and elk in the preserve within LBL. So much lakefront that feel like you have the whole lake to yourself at times.

We live on Kentucky lake and are on the water very often. Lots great places for a day trip to a sand bar or pebble Beach. Land between the lakes makes up a large portion of Land along the River near me and allows as much exploration as you could want. You need good charts for the lake there are allot of areas where it looks ok but the water is very shallow 1000s of submerged objects. Loads of people who have no idea how to operate a boat safely Use extreme caution on the water we have had a influx of people moving to the Area. I have seen 3 foot waves at the mouth of paris landing state park use caution.

Excellent fishing; We caught Striped Bass, Catfish, sunnies, and Crappies, there is also; Asian Carp, Garr and many others. We even found a couple rocks with fossils. Great place for the whole family.

This is a spectacular place to see the sunrise. Cool lake. Hey did you know there is an old cemetery out in the middle of this lake?? When water is low I'm told you can walk out there. Not me! I will take a boat, a canoe, kayak, hell I will even consider taking a raft before I go walking in the middle of the lake in search of tomb stones. Yikes!! Btw I will add pics later.

Awesome sailing location, numerous secluded bays, wildlife, kayaking, swimming, stargazing, and sunsets.
