Ein wunderschönes Freilichtmuseum das einen Besuch wert ist. Es wird auch für Kinder etwas geboten. Mir persönlich haben die Siedlungsgebäude und Geschäfte der 50/60 Jahre gefallen. Die Landwirtschaft- Ausstellung ist auch sehenswert. Es wird nicht der letzte Besuch dort gewesen sein.

Wonderful location for a day out with kids. Many play areas and during summer holidays they have children entertainment program. They have a water playground. You can visit all houses and the stables. It was amazing to see how people lived several years ago. The museum is expanding with an exhibition of the 50s/60s incl. a gas station and a "Quelle" sample house. The gardens are well maintained. The young piglets were sooo cute. For older kids there is an exhibition of agricultural machinery and one area with old toys and boardgames. There a plenty parking facilities and even chargers for PHEV/BEV. Most of the area is accessible with a wheelchair. We will be back for sure.

Super schöner Ort zum Staunen und entspannen. Nach einem Spaziergang kann man sich im Lokal verwöhnen lassen. So leckere Bratkartoffeln hatte ich lange nicht mehr. Die Königsberger Straße ist schön geworden. Aber gerne noch ausbaufähig. Alte Häuser und Scheunen treffen auf die 50er, 60er, 70er Jahre. TOP. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen.

Das Freilichtmuseum ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Die Gebäude sind alle schön anzuschauen. Interessant ist auch der Bereich, wo das Leben in den 50er/60er Jahren dargestellt ist. Dies sieht man in Freilichtmuseen eher seltener. Wenn man dann beobachten kann, wie ältere Besucher ihren Enkeln alles erklären, was sie selber einst besaßen und dies noch alles von früher kennen, dann ist dies ein herrlicher Ort wo auch mal die Älteren den Jüngeren mit leuchtenden Augen die Welt erklären können. Einfach wunderbar.

Despite a large crowd of visitors there's a very peaceful, relaxed atmosphere here. Most amazing display of old tractors/agricultural machines. Gorgeous sausages as well!

This is a wonderful museum to visit. It describes different eras of European history, and among other, a complete city centre from the 1950th. There were also lots of agricultural machines and some animals. The restaurant was also very good! The only bad thing was that information about the objects is only in German.

Lovely little place. The tour guides know a lot of small details about the history of farmers and their lives.

This is an amazing place for everyone Perfect place for kids. You will definitely have a perfect time here for the entire day and you'll feel like you still have something you haven't seen.

Amazing open air museum close to Hamburg. Collection of old farms and houses showing how life was in the hundred and two hundred years ago. Some weekends people are living in the houses in original clothes showing how a day was during this time. Great for a family daytrip!

Interactive exhibitions depicting life from 1800s to early 1900s. Includes a few farm animals and quite suitable for children!

Although there is a limited amount of information available in English this is a terrific museum of older buildings moved to this location. We especially enjoyed seeing the post WWII street with shops that can be visited to see what was sold at the time. We could have spent a day here exploring all the buildings and gardens.

A lovely place. Has descriptions of all historical displays, including old houses in different times in history. All descriptions/explanations are available in German, no English.

Wunderschönes Freilichtmuseum. Bietet unglaublich viel für Kinder. Super gepflegt und sehr informativ. Besonders gut gefiel uns die Retro Einkaufsstraße. Gerade für meine ältere Tochter sehr interessant.

Es war wieder ein Erlebnis im Museum am Kiekeberg. Für Groß und Klein ganz viel zu sehen. Tolle Sachen zu schauen. Alte Karusells. Preis Leistung ok. Man muss etwas mehr im Portomonee haben.

Ein sehr schönes Freilichtmuseum! Personen bis Volljährigkeit zahlen keinen Eintritt, für Erwachsene gibt es die Möglichkeit eines Kombi Tickets mit dem Tierpark Schwarze Berge, ansonsten 9 Euro. Auf dem Gelände befinden sich viele Alte Häuser aus Norddeutschland incl. der damaligen Einrichtung. Es gibt für Kinder diverse Tiere zum Gucken auf dem Gelände (Hühner, Gänse, Schweine), auch kleine Ferkel und eventuell auch Gössel. Auch ein kleiner Spielplatz ist vorhanden. Interessant ist auch das Indoor Museum mit alten Landmaschinen. Mir persönlich haben sehr gut die bunten Bauerngärten und Fallobstwiesen auf dem Gelände gefallen.

This is a historical village from northern Germany with old cottages as exhibits. They are made up with a Lori enacted for detail me convey a feeling of what must have been like to live during that time (including the very small bed which I would not fir in. No way). They have a few animals as well (cows, geese etc). Great location to visit with kids, esp. the water playground is one of a kind with a small raft that can be slid across a pond. They also roast coffee beans and the espresso is quite good. Go visit, it worth a trip.

Das Freilichtmuseum am Kiekeberg, ein sehr schönes Museum und es gibt sehr viel zusehen in und um dem Kiekeberg. Ich war dieses Mal zum Thema Trecker dort. Dr. Trecker hat zum Treckertreffen gerufen und hunderte Trecker, Schlepper, Holder, LKW und vieles mehr gab es an zwei Tagen zu bestaunen und anfassen 😘. Ein ❤️ für die kleinen, die sogar einige Runden mit allem was die Stadtkinder nur im Film oder Büchern zu sehen bekommen live zu erleben und mitfahren durften. Immer gern wieder und sehr Empfehlenswert.

Ein liebevoll und weitläufig angelegtes Freilichtmuseum. Der Besuch ist eine Zeitreise. Wirklich lohnenswert. Der Pflanzenmarkt ergänzte die Ausstellung wirkungsvoll. Eine tolle Präsentation vielerlei botanischer Raritäten. Leider war die Anreise durch die vielen Besucher und die Baustellen sehr beschwerlich und zeitaufwendig. Auf dem Gelände selbst war alles gut organisiert. Kaum Wartezeiten. Toll, dass Kinder keinen Eintritt zahlen müssen. Die Preise bei den Gastronomiebetrieben sind wirklich übertrieben. Für eine schlichte Bratwurst oder ein Stück Brot mit Speck und Schmand empfinde ich den geforderten Preis unverschämt. Aber der Laden brummte und die Nachfrage bestimmt den Preis 🙄. Das Museum selbst ist bei unserem Besuch zu kurz gekommen, so dass wir auf jeden Fall noch einmal wiederkommen werden .

Excellent place for family rest time.

Well made museum showcasing how people in ancient times lived in the flat lands. Museum features local products and old animal breeds. Look out for the Bentheimer Landschwein, a very old pork race, that now is enjoying a renaissance.

Cool and nice place

It was a very enriching and interesting experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. One point of criticism. I wish that the tours would be labeled better then just tours for......from 10-17 and with an arrow pointing I a direction. Something like WAIT HERE for the next tour every hour or every half an hour would have been more informative.

Loved it! I've been there a couple of times and I would be happy to go again. It's a open air museum with authentic houses from 14th to 19th century, which of course have completely furnished. Also, the museum store is quite interesting and I highly recommend to visit the cafeteria and try their delicious hot chocolate.

Very nice outdoor museum, we visited when there was a handmade market and didn't even have enough time to see everything in 5 hours, so definitely worth the money!

One of those museums where you get a better understanding of the simple and humble life German farmers had. The museum features some characteristic old buildings relocated from over the region to a single spot. Funny enough the museum also hosts a subsection on the old gaming hardware, you can even play the original Super Mario. Right, that on top of a nice oldie tractor harware. As for the kids, there is a very nice playground and some attractions like handwork and etc.

This place is great, you can wander around by yourself, take part in activities. I especially liked the building with the old vehicles, machinery and toys.
