A beautiful place. If you want to swim here, you should check the tides. During high tide it is very dangerous to swim in the pool. I myself got some scrapes and bruises because I underestimated the waves. Fortunately, I was not pulled over the edge of the pool into the open sea. Later I heard in the village that people have already died there this year. There is an initiative by the people of Hermigua to reopen the place and make it more secure. It would be wonderful if this could be done one day. (The video is not from the day I was swimming there)

The best and only way to swim in the ocean during summer. Bring your scuba goggles with you! And enjoy the sun! Unfortunatly... the area is closed off. But people go there anyway. The local authorities go there whenever it’s really crowded to send everyone off. So, technically you can’t go there. Technically...

The views are amazing from Pescante de Hermigua. I can definitely suggest to do a walk up to the place. However, I would not advise to go swimming for unexperienced people, as the sea can get pretty rough and the waves reach into the natural pool.

Spectacular swimming pool filled by sea water. Quite a walk and slippery rocks make it an adventure of sorts. Only go in when locals go. Dangerous rocks in the open side.

Natural swimming pool. Beautiful views, cristal clear water and the sun. What else one could need?

Great view of a dying era.

Swimming was perfect today but I can imagine that it is very dangerous here with a full moon tide. Lots of signage and a red flag to advise you not to swim, so you go in at your own risk. However this is an interesting historical site and a beautiful place to chill.

Just to clarify previous comments. It's not just closed for swimming or cars. The access road is closed even for pedestrians, there is no access at all allowed to the site, at any time.

This place is listed as closed but actually a lot of locals and visitors use the natural tidal swimming pool which is really good.

Please check tides and waves conditions before deciding to swim here. It's particularly dangerous during winter months. There were several cases of people drowning
