Our stay has been wonderful for the past few years. The hotel is in a great location and the staff has always been wonderful. My family has been to this location for at least 3 years now. Every year, as we leave the premises we have scheduled our vacation for the next year. It’s always the same time to celebrate a birthday. This year we even spent 2 more days than our usual. To my dismay, tonight’s evening manager tells me to my face that there is really nothing special about my family coming every year. It is “supply and demand” and we are not any different from any other customer!! Really??? I was trying to buy book our next year’s celebration as she was telling me this. I told her that I was extremely appalled! Is this what her company really expects of her?? If that is the case, there shouldn’t be any customer loyalty to the very people that we believed had our interests always in their priority? My family is extremely disappointed. :(

Most enjoyable hotel experience! Room was gorgeous, spacious, and equipped with thoughtful amenities (real dishes and silverware, tea kettle, dish soap and sponge). Loved the porch and fireplace as well. Breakfast was the best continental breakfast I’ve ever had (the local pastries were another thoughtful, and delicious, touch). We were traveling with two young children and felt we could have comfortably stayed for weeks. We would go back to Hermosa Beach just to stay at The Beach House!

Love Hermosa beach house! I have been coming here now for five years, and it will continue to be my getaway and happy place. I love people watching on the strand and sitting on my balcony watching the sunset. I was recently there at the beach life festival, and it was amazing to bike back-and-forth from Hermosa Beach House to the concert. The front desk staff are always friendly accommodating. A few familiar faces I look forward to seeing are Jerry and Jasmine. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Rooms are very nice with a fireplace and all amneties as advertised. Location great too. However upon check-in we received an "upgrade" from sideways sea view to frontal sea view, which however means that instead of the calm side street on the 2nd or 3rd floor we now have a room on the ground floor with a noisy walkway right in front of the balcony :/ Watch out of this kind of ripoff if you care for a good night's sleep and refuse immediately.

This is my favorite hotel in LA. Hell it may be my favorite hotel period. When i need to get away and need a break from life, I fly out to LA and book this hotel. The views are perfect, the area (while not completely quiet) is quiet enough for me, especially compared to more popular beach areas in LA, clean and the near by restaurants, shops, and bars mean that I really dont have to get in my car and go anywhere else for a week if I don’t feel like it. The direct ocean view rooms mean I can leave the balcony door open and listen to nothing but the sound of ocean waves at night and when I wake up early in the morning. Come here to relax. My only two cons are price, (mainly during peak season) and the breakfast could be better. But hey, sometimes good things in life are expensive. And honestly there are two restaurants on both sides of the hotel that have excellent brunch/breakfast (I highly recommend La Playita). This hotel is perfect for someone like me who enjoys the water and sand.

This hotel should really warn guests if they are booking during an event at the beach. $700+ a night to be woken up at 6:30am to beeping construction trucks and metal clinking as they build stages. Also, the beach is this hotels only good amenity so to have the view of the beach completely obstructed by construction while paying this much money, feels like robbery.

It’s a nice hotel, but outdated. I think old hotels like this either have to up their services and offerings or lower the prices, if they are not willing to upgrade. We booked an ocean view suite, the only way we could see the ocean was by sticking our heads out the balcony and looking to the left. In my opinion that’s not an ocean view room. Breakfast was very mediocre and limited options, 7/11 style cut fruit, oatmeal and bagels. Gym is a joke. The only pro about this place is the location and large rooms. That’s all.

One of the best hotels in Los Angeles! Great place for poolside drinks and dips in the water! They are also E-Bike Friendly and have a great Bike Rack right outside of the hotel in the parking garage. Love it here! Coming back again with friends!

A little piece of heaven on earth. I cannot tell you how amazing it is to wake up and fall asleep to the sounds of gentle waves from the ocean. I absolutely love this place! The suites are amazing!! Huge jacuzzi bath tub, fireplace, kitchen area, and views that will leave you breathless. The staff are equally as amazing. You are always met with a smile and you can never ask too many questions (trust me on this 😂). It’s nice to be somewhere where everyone treats you with kindness and respect. I am fortunate that my boss treats me to stay here when we come to California. It’s the best part of the trip! There are so many shops around as well as restaurants. You honestly won’t want to leave your room though! Just grab a glass of wine and enjoy your view.

After paying, the client is shown to a private eating area, where the manager may enjoy his meal in peace. Every waiter is friendlier and more willing to assist a client out than the management. The manager mistook her for the bar's owner and told her to leave. Not supposed to be employed here. The quality of all of the offerings is high. However, the hotel's upper administration has ruined the place. Implore the higher-ups to take it seriously. From the perspective of the consumer, what happened to us was a vacation. You should not focus on the manager's face.

Such a beautiful area! Spent a week staying here and had a gorgeous ocean view. The service was great and the valet drivers were very polite. The breakfast was always good and the atmosphere is very laid back!

Great experience! We stayed here for 2 nights and everything was awesome. We will definitely be staying here again. FYI- the pool pics on Google maps are not from this place. The Beach House does not have a pool.

Right outside my balcony, a surfer statue and the pier is a great walk out beautiful views. Definitely a top notch location, beach ⛱️ traffic, rollerblades, bikes, 🚲, skateboard 🛹, and the volleyball 🏐 nets are a plus right outside, nice restaurant block within throwing distance too.

Loved this property!! We had an ocean front view room and it was amazing. Large rooms and very comfortable beds. Lots within walking distance like restaurants, bars, comedy clubs, shopping, etc. The area is less busy than Santa Monica, Manhattan Beach, etc. so if you're looking for more "quiet", this is a better option, and less than 30 mins from LAX.

This place was great! The rooms are a little tight but they make excellent use of the space. We had two beds, a kitchen with microwave/stove/fridge, an office space, huge bathrooms, and a balcony overlooking the beach. They have a free continental breakfast an, awesome valet service with chairs and towels for the beach. Will definitely come here again.

had previously stayed at both of their estates, Half Moon Bay and Hermosa. This time, after making a reservation for Hermosa, we had to cancel a few weeks later since our plans had changed. We discovered that they failed to process the cancellation when we saw a charge on our credit card. Since the hotel has declined to assist us, we must now pursue via our bank. We can't call every visitor for that matter, they said when I asked why they didn't simply contact them when I didn't check in and we could have easily sorted it up then. Simply simpler to accept the cash.

From the time we walked in until the time we checked out we felt at home. The front desk staff was friendly. The valets were excellent. They remembered us and the activities we were doing. The view from our room was amazing!! We loved it so much we are headed back in April.

Wonderful week at the Beach House Hotel! Our first time in Hermosa. Cute little beach town! Nice morning breakfast provided with pleasant cafe staff! Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping to the valet guys out front were fabulous! Always helpful in every way! We had a standard room. So clean and spacious! The bed and pillows were so comfortable! Beach chairs and towels were provided free. Bike rentals nearby. Would definitely return to this gem!!! Thank you!

My Family and I (party of 9) booked 2 adjacent rooms together for the 4th of July weekend and we had an amazing experience! The staff was wonderful, great to talk to, easy to request items, and the hotel and rooms were clean. The room was larger than standard, with a king bed and a foldout couch plus a kitchenette with a cooktop and refrigerator and microwave. Plenty of space for storing all the luggage plus beach items. The Hotel provided beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, and kids sand toys, all complimentary! This is our new home away from home, definitely recommended to all!

Good location on the strand in Hermosa Beach. Unfortunately, many rooms have no view. Nothing! Service is adequate, nothing special. The rooms themselves are nice, clean and well appointed.

We arrived very early, extremely tired after a night flight. The staff was wonderful and told us to get some breakfast at their place and took care off all of our luggage. After that we went to the beach with beach chair and bath towels from the hotel. They gave us an early access to the room and the luggage was already taken care of. The room was a little bit smaller than it looks like on the pictures but the view was fantastic. Big bathroom The bed was amazing but the sofa bed was terrible to sleep on for our teenagers. The madras was thin and there was always some noise when mowing around during the night. As this was pretty expensive nights compared to other hotel this period, we was surprised that they didn’t make the sofa bed before night time. We took some pillows from our bed to the sofa bed. The most sad part is that the bathroom was not clean when we checked in. On the floor under the sink there was a lot of red something and was easy to spot. I told the reception and they said they would take care of it. Later that evening they gave us extra new towels, but the floor was still the same… I told they about this the next morning and had the same answer as they day before. The day went by and no one had cleaned the bathroom. The next day I had to go look for the cleaner’s my self. All the staff on the hotel was super nice and friendly. A big plus.
