Location is within walking distance of beach, but hotel is really not up to Hampton Inn standards. Building is old, parking lot is small, and rooms are "spartan" in furnishings and decor. No carpet in room and everything is dated in appearance. Towels were damp which may be result of housekeeping staff overloading dryers so that nothing tumbles and dries as it should. Rooms could be cleaner too. Staff is friendly, however.

Booked a room with a balcony. room received upon arrival was study room suite. i never booked a study room. the study table on the room was very awkward. the fridge was not working. the lights on left side bed also not working. told the night auditor to fix the problem. no help very incompetent. very poor service. they will only fix the problem once your checked out. will not be back on this location. very disappointing expensive stay not worth the money paid.

Hi this is the first time I review anything, but I'm sorry I needed to. I stayed for a week and this is my fair feedback: Downs: 1-Carpets on the third floor hallway weren't cleaned. There were a lot of carpet beetles floating. This stayed all week and was cleaned the day I checked out. This was so obvious and needed no report. 2-No pool in this location. Although many pictures on google show a pool, but there aren't any. These pictures should be removed!!! I booked this location thinking they had a pool, but I was frustrated when I found out they had none. Anyway it's my mistake I should have reviewed the hotel amenities to make sure. 3-One day I found a small red stain on the new replaced bed sheet, but it was very small. 4-Elevator needed maintenance for a whole day. 5-Fitness center needed maintenance for my whole stay only used it once!!! 6-Expensive pricing compared to the very minimal services offered. 7-Room wasn't very quiet. I heard people next room snooring and watching tv. It happened one night to be fair. Ups: 1-Great location and safe walking area. Close to a number of restaurants, markets and cafes. 2- 12 mins walking distance to Hermosa pier. 3-Friendly and kind workers. Anthony the host was nice. 4-Good breakfast. 5-My room was clean. Thankfully I was out most of the time or else I'd have been so frustrated. Yes the stuff are friendly and location is great, but unfortunately I won't come back again because of the many downs. I'm so sorry I know you guys are nice, but I had to be honest with everyone.

A+++ location but room are very loud. Ocean view rooms have a lot of street noise and you can clearly hear people talking & walking in the hallways. Would stay again for location, but will try to get a room in the back of the hotel.

Mr. Patel the manager, was kind for checking me in early. Room was super clean, breakfast was good, coffee choices were amazing. 12 minute walk to the beach. Will stay again.

Everything was very pleasant. Area nice and clean. The area is within walking distance to the beach. It is a little hilly coming back! Enjoyed our stay because everything is centrally located. Not far from the airport!

I have been staying at this hotel when I am in LA for business since 2019, my most recent stay was in early August of 2022. Compared to all the other mid-level chain hotels in the South Bay, this is my favorite. Hermosa Beach is the star here, and this Hampton Inn is conveniently located near local and chain restaurants, funky shopping, and my favorite place in Los Angeles, Hermosa Beach. The sunsets from the pier never disappoint. I have tried a Hilton property in Redondo Beach, another in Manhattan Beach, and a few other Hyatts next to LAX. None of those other choices have rooms with ocean views and a balcony, plus a walkable neighborhood where you will find the Good Stuff Cafe - with beachfront dining, the Ocean Diner for a fantastic breakfast, a nearby drugstore, and a Trader Joe's. All of this, and you are less than 10 minutes from LAX. Best airport hotel in North America.

My cousins always stay here when they visit the beach area. The rooms are very pleasant clean and it's got a nice vibe. It is also close enough to walk to the beach and boardwalk where where there are plenty of great restaurants and other terrific businesses. I think that Jay Leno may still be doing stand up at the comedy club there which is terrific. Check 1st since his schedule changes A lot. We always go to Scotty's on the beach which is a wonderful restaurant.Great people watching, ocean breeze, things to do.

Nice view of the ocean. Everything was clean and organized. The parking was a bit tight and the traffic is a bit crazy in that area but over all a nice place to rest and relax.

We came down for my 50th high school reunion and spent 4 nights here and was pleasantly surprised by our stay here. The location is perfect, just a few blocks from the pier and beach the hotel staff Ysenia booked us in she was friendly and courteous. The ocean view was amazing. Parking was never an issue with no fees. We hope to make this our go-to place we come here to visit.

Cute hotel just over a half-mile from the beach (about 15 minute walk). The sun deck on the 4th floor offers an area to lounge and get distant partial views of the ocean. While there’s limited ocean view, you get perfect sunsets. Free basic WiFi and complementary breakfast. Vons grocery store with large selection of deli lunch items across the street. The staff were friendly, and let me check in a few hours early – no charge. One elevator on site. Soda machines on each floor that accept credit cards. Only cons are: no microwave, no guest laundry room, and no pool. There is a mini fridge in the rooms and coffee maker. Housekeeping do an excellent thorough job cleaning. Fitness room on 2nd floor is convenient. Lastly, beware that walking back from the beach is mostly uphill. Bring or buy water – there’s a little liquor store as you enter the beach courtyard next to B of A.

We enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Hermosa Beach. The hotel was easy to book, to find and was clean, welcoming and comfortable. Although it's a few streets from the beach, we were able to see the ocean from our balcony and enjoyed watching the beautiful sunset.

Love the place, breakfast is absolutely amazing would have loved more of an ocean view. But if you're coming and are getting a beach view just request a higher level . It's within walking distance to the store and it's very convenient when going to the Pier. Lots of amazing local shops as well. Highly recommend

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, and I can’t say enough about the amazing staff. From the moment I checked in, they were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Every request I had was met with a smile, and their dedication to customer service was truly exceptional. The entire team, from the front desk to the restaurant staff, made me feel like a valued guest. I was thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and friendliness. This, combined with the clean and comfortable rooms and great amenities, made for a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel.

Decent enough hotel. Located in a great spot to walk for food or the beach. Breakfast was fine just not a lot of selection compared to some others I've had. Our room had a balcony area, but was in a tight spot between buildings so no real view there. We did get early check-in.

Great location. Checkin was a breeze. Even let me checkout a bit late to accommodate my flight. Parking is available and very reasonable. Would definitely stay here again. Rooms were very clean and have a huge balcony.

I really like this place because they are great about dogs...no surprises like breed restrictions or size limit and they don't give you the dumpy room in the back. I've had 2 dogs with me both times. once they gave me a patio and the other I had an ocean view and my dogs could look outside. nice little grassy area for them outside too. thank you for being truely dog friendly and not charge $100 per dog extra. just for that 5 ⭐

There is not maintenance 24/7 so if you have your bath tub stock they will probably change you to another room without giving you the choice the room. They do not offer anything at the Hilton honors member at arrival or during stay. They do not have restaurant or bar at premises. If you need water they won’t provide you a one courtesy bottle during your stay only at the arrival even if you are a Diamond level honors. I didn’t feel welcomed.

We were extremely pleased with our stay. When We see guests complain about stupid things, we feel they haven’t experienced some other hotels. We have no complaints, and feel the week here was extremely convenient and Kept clean.

Great stay with great breakfast. Need a second waffle iron. Powered eggs needs help. We had a king suite with a patio and oven view. Check it was a breeze. Will be back.

The rooms were okay. Looked a lot better in the pictures. Only one elevator, so expect traffic jams. The gym wasn’t great at all. Of the three cardio options (bike, elliptical, treadmill), only the treadmill worked. Overall, the hotel was average, but the location made up for some of the shortfalls.

This is one of my fave places to stay. Generally rooms are clean and large, comfy beds, efficient friendly staff, and you cannot beat the location.

Convenient to a grocery store, pharmacy and the beach. AWESOME staff, very friendly and professional. Breakfast was a very nice addition and welcomed!

Rooms clean. Staff very friendly. The structure is dated. No pool. If your neighbor tokes-up, you will know. The hallway allowes for your voice to be heard clearly from the room-no secrets. 100% ice machine worked on 3rd floor. The terrace are nice- if your cool with the road noise. Nice enough view of the town and the ocean. Parking is 15$ daily 🤨 but it is worth it. FYI parking near the boardwalk is $2 an hour. Lots of restaurants, Vons Pharmacy across the street. About 15 minute walk to the ocean. On our walk at the beach we found we had stepped in a tar like substance...pinch off it will spread! Lost a good pair of shorts. Would definetly recommended this Hampton.

Great Stay Nice view from my room. Breakfast was delicious. I always stay at HAMPTON INN'S because I don't like surprises and they are always consistently clean and comfortable and great value.

The rooms were spacious and nicely laid out. The breakfast was good with good options. Nice little deck off the room with a ocean view. However the lay out of the hotel was annoying. The hallways went every which way to get to the room, which felt like a mile away from the elevator.

My stay here was just perfect. My room was clean, fresh and comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Location is great as it's just a short stroll down to the beach, bars, cafes and restaurants. There's a Vons just across the road. I absolutely loved my stay here and would stay here again. Perfect!

Great staff, great location, clean rooms. Probably the best option if you want to be in a Hilton property that is a short walk to the beach/restaurants and minutes from LAX, there is also a grocery store across the street. I don’t typically stay at Hampton Inns, but this location is an exception. I have stayed here several times after recommendations from multiple co-workers. Staff is friendly and helpful, and I have always had a clean room for a great stay.

Our family of five adults rented two rooms for six nights. Water pressure problem with shower in one room was handled effectively; switched room. Great location. Close to airport (6 miles), walking distance to beach and restaurants. Fitness room a little small. Breakfast choices were very good. Staff was very good. We would definitely stay here again.

Just got back from spending a week in Hermosa. Our 3rd time out there,first at the Hampton. Great hotel,great location. Anthony at the desk was very helpful and made our stay enjoyable. Actually all the staff were friendly and helpful. Requested an ocean view room...did not disappoint! Very clean and comfortable. Next time we come out there definitely will be staying at the Hampton.
