Amazing every single time, consistently the best & most authentic ramen in New Zealand. I have visited numerous Ramen shops throughout Japan & NZ and Ramen Takara have never let me down! Their staff are amazing, they make this building feel like a home away from home. They care about you, they care about their food and they do such a great job in every facet of their business. I love coming here and showing my friends and family how amazing this place and these people are. My only regret is that I can't take a photo of the food for you, only an empty bowl. 🍜 Gochisousamadeshita!

Great ambience with tasty ramen. Place is small that is why they'd ask you to book first. Overall, it is great place for ramen.

This shop has homemade noodle and the vendors offer a variety of noodle dishes to choose from. This seems to be rare in Auckland. We ordered seafood fried noodles, which is a kind of noodles that is fried in oil and is very crispy, while the other part is soaked in the soup and is soft, elastic and delicious. Rich variety of seafood. This noodle is very similar to the one I ate as a child in Shanghai 40 years ago. At that time, it would only be eaten once during the New Year and special occasions. However, this cooking method is almost impossible to find in Shanghai today. Dandan noodles are also great. The staff are also very welcoming and smart. What a wonderful encounter 💕

Ramen Takara is an authentic Japanese restaurant nestled in Auckland, renowned for its quick and delicious ramen offerings that reflect the philosophy of efficient and delectable service. With a diverse menu featuring various types of ramen, patrons can easily find a bowl that caters to their preferences. The professional and passionate staff elevate the dining experience, adding to the allure of Ramen Takara. I highly recommend this Japanese ramen restaurant for an exceptional dining experience.

Authentic tasting Ramen Restaurant. The Tonkatsu Ramen is highly recommended. The karage chicken and gyuoza were spot on and good size portions. Ask for the Kid's menu, choose a main plus a drink or dessert. Excellent service and the food came out fast, although it was a busy lunchtime

One of the worst ramen I ever had in my life. The broth had no flavor, it’s just salt water. I guess if you never had any good ramen in your life you will think this is amazing.

We went to Ramen Takara Browns Bay today to have a family lunch. We are a family of 5, with 3 small kids. It’s not always we are brave enough to go to restaurants and have a nice family meal, because usually, the kids won’t let us eat in peace. Anyways, today was the day we decided to be brave and eat out. Ramen Takara gave us a very good impression at first, cozy, attractive food menu and also looked like a child friendly type of restaurant- with high chairs, kids menu, colouring… we got a table, sat in and ordered beers, an entree, 3 adult-size meals and one kids one. The waiter taking orders didn’t seem very happy but aye we weren’t there for smiles. We ate. The meal was good. Our problem started while I (wife) was at the front paying the bill. Before going I handed them each a rainbow stripes, as the kids had their meals, something that they got from a birthday. While I was at the front the waiter approached my husband and told him to not eat that there next time because they were a “restaurant”, which my husband replied it was for the kids. Interesting because we were literally on our way out, we were done. If someone pulls a tic tac from their pocket after finishing a meal I highly doubt they would tell them off. Disappointed. I felt judged.

5 stars for the environment, 3 stars for the ramen. Looks good, but the broth is toooooooo salty.

We came here as a group of 8 for a birthday dinner. The food and drinks came out quickly. Portion sizes were generous. The food we ordered was delicious. Staff were polite, prompt and professional. We gifted our friends some flowers, the staff popped them in a vase on the table for us. We had a cake and the staff even put some edible flowers and candles on it for us. We were very well looked after and want to thank the staff for making it a very special and memorable night for us. 10/10 looking forward to returning soon!

All four ramens I ordered were too greasy or salty to all my family to be honest. All of us felt like that. Not sure it was only the day. Would be recommended if you love greasy and salty ramen. If not, it wouldn't. I was disappointed compared to what I've read reviews here. Wonder if there's anyone who experienced the same as me. Food is the most important one for the rate to me, so I would say it's just one star to me.

One of the best Ramen shops. I lived in Japan for several years, and had many Ramens all over the country, Takara is with the top 10% of all places.

Visited the place after hearing all the good reviews. But it wasn’t as good as everyone described - perhaps I was expecting something a bit more traditional, ie: thick, creamy soup base for tonkotsu ramen rather than just a salty soup. The kaarage (fried chicken) and spring rolls were nice. Especially the spring rolls, the taste was very unique and you could tell it was made the restaurant not bought. The seats were quite narrow and small, service was quick and attentive.

Loved loved loved everything we had at takara. Pretty busy place in Brown Bay so you must be early. Happy that our group of 4 came at the right time around 1230pm for lunch and we were seated right away. A few minutes late, the queue was building up already. Food was really fantastic and the price was right. I truly enjoyed my Tom yum ramen and the chicken karaage. The gyoza was ok could be a little bit more crispy, the pork belly spring roll was crispy but I didn't taste much pork belly in it. My partner said his tonkatsu ramen was good too and our mate ordered the spicy Tan tan ramen and boy did he sweat it out eating it 😁. Parking is by the Browns Bay beach so no worries there. Overall, our experience was good but I wondered why they don't accept Mastercard. Anyways, we would be back again when we are around the area and remember where to get a good Japanese fix.

Impromptu noodle craving of friends led us to these place. All 9 of us enjoyed the warm staff and quickly served food much to our delight. An authentic Japanese ramen to go to in Brown's Bay.

I keep coming back to try all the different Ramen I haven't had a bad one yet. The staff was very helpful and my order came out faster than I expected for how busy they were.

We have been coming here for many years since we discovered it whilst living in Browns Bay. Now we live on the South Island and miss it so much that we make a point to come here whenever we're back in Auckland (which isn't often enough!). The food is always great tasting and quick to the table, the staff are very attentive too. Never change!

Karaage chicken was excellent. Good service. However ramen was below average - taste is below average - just salty, and only 1 piece of pork in the whole bowl. I've had much better elsewhere. Not recommended

Went for dinner here for the first time, the food was literally amazing! The place itself is so cute! And the lovely girls that served us made our night, can’t wait to come back ✨

Vibes for days. This place has such a chill atmosphere and the food is perfection. The outdoor seating is nice for dinner and the staff have the best drink recommendations to match your food. Rate ordering **any** of the ramen and tsukemono. Everything is amazing

Oh my goodness the food is amazing and can I just say Chi was a superstar. Her customer service, bubbly persona and caring tendencies made the night go from a girls dinner to an amazing night out. Will definitely be back

We come back to here agin last month, the Ramen is so so good, so tasty and noodles they cook very well. The prices is not expensive and service is good. 👌🏻

Went here after reading good reviews. The ramen was ok, nothing special. For some reason the tonkotsu came in a really small bowl I usually struggle to eat a full bowl at other places, but I ate all of this and was stoked we got dumplings aswel because it wasn't big enough, but was reasonably tasty. Vege Ramen was good and the dumplings were nice. Service was good and staff were friendly. Would probably call back past if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to go back.
