just now NEW I went in to have a chipped tooth repaired. The dental assistant was really rude and short with me because I struggled to keep my mouth open. After I arrived home and the numbing medicine wore off I noticed a burn above my lip and under my nose directly where she had used the curing light. It turned into a liquid filled burn blister the exact size and shape of the curing light, and has left a scar on my face. I called 3 times but they would never return my call. Less than 10 days later the filling came off. So I called them again and they said to come in and let the Doctor look at the burn. He said he thought it could be a fever blister, it wasn’t on my lip! It was on the skin under my nose. He didn’t seem to care at all that his staff did this to a patient.

Dr. McAllister and his staff are inviting,friendly and professional. They helped me to feel welcomed and relaxed. I'm very impressed that they make it a priority to explain everything that he sees going on with your dental health. I highly recommend them as your dental provider. He has an excellent staff and they went out of their way to assist me with all my needs and explained my insurance and other questions. I would has given them a ten star review but only had a five star limit, they are TEN STARS without a doubt !!

The office staff is very friendly. Mindy, the hygienist who cleans my teeth is a delight to be around and sends me away feeling incredibly refreshed. Dr. McAllister is always pleasant and professional and rather than just saying, "You need to do this." He educates you about why he thinks doing this or that is the best choice for you. Every staff member who has had reason to poke around in my mouth has been very conscious of my having very sensitive teeth and they cause me very little discomfort.

I’ve hated going to the dentist since I was a young kid. I started going to Dr. McAllister’s office in my early/mid-30’s and have had nothing but positive experiences. Don’t get me wrong, he has had to fix some things that some previous Dentists did not do a stellar job on, but I’ve never had a painful experience and every single person who works at the office is just a joy. I have had two Dental Hygienists who have been both gentle with my cleanings (no traumatic gum prodding like I’ve had before) and have established rapport quickly just by being genuinely kind and engaging. The staff always appear to be happy and you will never have a grumpy check-in or check-out experience.

The moment I walked in to the office I was greeted by a friendly smile by Carol! The office is very aesthetic and clean. The hygienist that cleaned my teeth , Megan, was beyond excellent! She took care in checking my gum tissue for health and she was very gentle. Dr. Robbie was friendly and easy to talk to. He filled a tooth for me and I never felt a thing! I am so happy to make Lake Hickory Dental my new dental office. I would recommend it to everyone!

The staff in the office was always so sweet and kind over the phone, when I came in for my first visit I felt the same warmth and welcoming I had needed from a dentist's office. Dr McAllister understood the anxiety and had wonderful bedside manner as well. He also took the time to educate his patients on basic oral hygiene and is very needed amd appreciated. I didn't feel like I was just another patient, or another paycheck. They all had me feel like they cared about their work the outcome and if I was going to put in the effort for myself.

Just moved back here from Colorado and have been trying to find a great dentist with state of the art equipment like I was used to... Dr. McAllister is the answer to our search! Every other dentist we had tried had older equipment and didn't quite meet our expectations. He has the best practice in the area by far- I loved the Power Point presentation he went over during my initial visit, his equipment met the same level I had come to expect, and the staff was so friendly. He genuinely cares about his patients and my family will be going here from now on!
