La Taqueria

Restaurant Mexican restaurant

🫤 Was really sad when i opened it up. The majority of the sandwich is bread which isn't saying much since its so small to begin with. The only thing that saves this is the taste. Tastes half way decent but not worth the price......you are better off going just alil out your way to westbury for a real... People often mention good, tacos,

UPDATE: Knocking a few stars off. 2nd time visiting. I was less than satisfied with my food. Mediocre at best. Decided to have their Asada fries. The carne asada was ok. The pico alright. The fries not the best. They could've been fried a bit more. The cheese decent. I also go the Birria Torta. I would give it a 0. The bread was pale and overpowered the rest of the ingredients. Barely any meat on it. On top of that the birria lacked flavor. You look at the picture and tell me if that's worth $11. Ended up spending about $25 for the meal. NOT WORTH IT It is pretty good spot if you're looking to get a semi-quick bite. They don't take to long to complete you're order and the food is price friendly. I got the wet steak burrito which comes with melted cheese & red sauce on top. The steak is on the fattier side so you do get some chewy bites. It is a filling meal so you're getting you're money's worth

The best tacos I've had and for a great price. My favorite ones are the Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos. Meat is always very tender. Enchiladas and churros are good too. But I think the birria taco is dry compared to birria tacos from other restaurants. It doesn't come with the broth on the side.

Quaint little place for Tacos and Mexican food in Hicksville. The staff are very cheerful and helpful. We tried the shrimp and grilled chicken tacos. Also the chicken burrito. The tacos are really good and taste authentic. The burrito is not up to mark though. The sauces could have been better too( didn't find any hot sauce with our order). The Horchata was a fail( nowhere near the original authentic one). The prices are great too. They do have enough seating for indoor/outdoor dining. This place is good for tacos when you crave some authentic Mexican taste.

Came here on a weekday, the service was quick and the cashier was very nice. The food came out very fast! The food was okay, the flavor was a lacking a little but overall it was a good experience.

This place is opened late, so it was perfect to come here late at night for nice and fresh Mexican food. We got takeout so we thought they would include sauces with our order , but we got nothing. So the food definitely needed more seasoning. But overall great place.

Treasure! On a weekend getaway my husband and I found this nice little restaurant. The food was delicious and it was nice to see a wide selection of mexican sodas and agua frescas. The horchata is the best I've had in a really long time. Fresh chips and guacamole, Everything was fresh. If your looking for good Mexican food this is where you want to go.

Loved the food. It has an authentic taste. Had a Pastor burrito and a shrimp taco and they were fantastic. Probably the best Mexican food I've had in a while and I look forward to repeating soon.
