I went on a vacation to the Valley and found this restaurant on the fly while looking at maps. The Mexican architecture and the food were calling my name, so we went. I'm really glad we came. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was on point. I recommend the mole Enchiladas, but it doesn't seem like you can have a bad choice. Once I was done, I walked through the restaurant, and I ran in to the owner. We had a good conversation, and you could tell he was passionate about the restaurant. Can't wait to go again.

The food was very good, service was a little slow. We went on all you can eat Taco Tuesday, which they were really good, just not a fan of having to stand in line to order them, then get back in line if you want more. Next time we will just order off the menu. Atmosphere is fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed the environment. The outdoor seating was really nice but I can see how it can get pretty hot in the summer.

This restaurant is frequented by many of my coworkers because of its proximity to our office and the family’s association with our organization. The portions are generous and the food is good. Many of my coworkers agree what set this restaurant apart were the charro beans which are no longer complimentary. The restaurant has been undergoing renovations for a few years now, but the staff always makes an effort to accommodate parties of all sizes. They have expanded the patio and added a cute shop full of cultural items that are in line with the theme and ambiance of the restaurant. This restaurant was also featured on Good Morning America recently which has helped boost its popularity. If you’re in the area and looking for a location with great backdrops for photos, a cultural vibe, and good food - stop by!

Our friends had their wedding reception at this quaint unique place. They were able to create vegan fare for the guests, and it was delicious! The decor is amazing. This is some place I will bring all my visitors to South Texas.

A nice place to eat outside, which we opt. They do have some nice seating inside too. I ordered the combo, tacos and a potato. The beef tacos were great tasting, came with shredded cabbage, cilantro and a tomato sliver. The potato was over cooked, like it had been sitting in the oven for several hours. The outdoor ambiance was great plus it was Friday evening with Marachi group playing. The wait staff was nice but very busy, had to ask for some kind of sauce for the tacos. Daughter had green enchiladas, which were okay.

Delicious food. Beautiful atmosphere. It was our first time here and we loved everything about this place. We were brought here by a good friend and man, was it a solid choice. The beautiful atmosphere has attracted so many people for those instagram moment areas (which they have plenty of), but there's plenty of room to enjoy yourself and have some great food.

I had the half lonche and half tacos meal. The food was pretty good. My favorite part was the experience. I loved the atmosphere! I brought my dog with me, and the entire staff was so nice with him. The owner or manager had the employees bring a bowl of water out to him. I was very impressed with the service towards my child.

I remain impressed, it is an extremely beautiful and cozy place, dining with live music means that nothing like it can be found hundreds of kilometers away, the good attention of the waiters and living with people who really enjoy the music of Los Trios is unmatched. Enjoy live music on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, it is impressive, highly recommended.

I think the food is very good here. I’ve lived in the Rio Grande Valley most of my life, so there is better options for taste. However, it’s a great place to experience a general feel of the Mexican culture here. The atmosphere is very unique and a great place to be with friends and family. Nanas is especially a destination kind of restaurant.

Yummy, what a beautiful and fabulous establishment, great food , great vibes. We sat outside, but there is indoor seating , I kinda wanted to go inside just to check out this gem and snap some photos ...next time. I recommended it to our family who is local to the area . Would love to go back for dinner or night time scene to see the the mariche bands

We've loved Nana's Taqueria for dinner & entertainment. Now, we also love this place for breakfast! We had such a great time. We loved the unique menu & the presentation was definitely picture perfect! We had the best server, Daniela. She provided great service, gathered the team to serenade my brother in law on his birthday & also managed to keep up with our crazy clan. We will definitely be making the drive to Nana's Taqueria in the future!

Nana’s never fails food is very authentic Mexican Food, you feel like your in a downtown area in Mexico eating street tacos. The little place is delightful, Colorful and festive. There are many spots to take beautiful pictures. Come just for the drive and relax and eat outside on the patio, you won’t be disappointed!

Visually delightful little gem close to the border. It has the feel of a Mexican street party! Amazing tile work and folk art. Good food and nice to eat outside in the breeze, but watch out for the grackles overhead in the trees. They poop on your table, lol.

Great restaurant with high quality food and excellent atmosphere. Music by El Trio Tres en Punto on Wednesday nights is top notch. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time. We had a wonderful experience with our reservation, upon checking in with the hostess we were taken to our table in the outside patio area. Only downside to the restaurant is the parking, you might have trouble finding a spot during the restaurant’s busier hours. Plan on spending 1.5-2hrs at this restaurant.

We went on an All you can eat Taco Tuesday. They put a bracelet on you and you have to go outside to the taco stand every time to get your tacos. You pick what you want and what you want on them. You can also get as many as you want. The cook was very fast and she was very friendly. We tried all kinds of tacos and they were ALL great. Nice friendly service. It was very hot outside at 5pm so we ate inside. They had a large fan near the taco stand while you wait in line for your order outside.

Nana’s Taqueria, I can see why it has so many great reviews! Great patio and indoor space and great food and drinks!! If it wasn’t for the 100+ degree weather, I’d have been outdoors. First time visiting the area and I’ll be back if I make it down to Weslaco in the near future. I got the chips and queso (can never pass it up) and the beef lonchas. So good!! Go check it out.

Loved it!! Visiting the area on business and got the opportunity to take out a few colleagues for dinner. They suggested Nana's and I'm so glad they did!! Everything was excellent!!

Pretty cool spot is Weslaco. The restaurant itself offers indoor and outdoor seating. Traditional options you would normally find in a taqueria. Excited to see they offer lonches! Overall the food was fantastic but the service was sub par at best. Our waiter never came back to our table and the waiter we were able to flag down was obviously bothered for the extra work. Aside from that food Was great and hoping the service element was just this one time.

Upon arrival outdoor seating wasn't quite all cleaned and ready so we quickly opted to go inside to keep us on time as we had a schedule to keep. Once inside everything ordered was delivered fast, tasted great, and leaves you satisfied not too full and not hungry at all. Probably for the best to keep the servings manageable. Awesome atmosphere, especially if it's mariachi night!

Cute spot! Great service! It’s somewhat pricey but the atmosphere is worth it. We’ve dined here a couple of times when we visit the valley and we always have an amazing experience. Love this place!

Nana’s ALWAYS gets 5 stars from me! Keep in mind I have only eaten the crunchy ground beef tacos and Lonchos. A couple of weekends ago I was by myself so I sat at the bar and Amelia was extremely busy bartending but still found time to be an amazing conversationalist, as apparently she already was before that night. The point being, I didn’t feel as though I was eating alone. Besides, the food is so good, I don’t even care if I have to go alone!! Lots of LIVE music to enjoy on weekends! Come early because seating fills fast.

Ordered the 5 ground beef lonches plate w/avocado & cheese for $2 extra. Very tasty but could have used more meat. Ordered water to drink and was brought bottled water. Did not see anyone with just tap water. Staff very friendly and service was quick!

There was a wait for a table. After we were seated the waitress took our drink orders. My wife ordered margarita on the rocks and I ordered coffee and water. Margarita came out frozen instead of on rocks and she said they had to make coffee. She did not bring water. She took our orders and we didn't see her again until food came. She then brought coffee and we asked for water. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. Upon completion of the meal the water showed up. We saw other tables served chips and salsa but our waitress didn't bring any for us. While we loved the atmosphere and the food was good, the service ruined it for us. Maybe we will try again some day and hope for better service but it won't be soon.

This is one of those places that transports you to another place and time. Excellent food and service paired with a vibrant and colorful atmosphere. The patio is MASSIVE and the live mariachi band was one of the best I've ever heard. This is my favorite restaurant in the Valley and in my top 3 in Texas! Do not skip on Nana's! LONCHES FOR THE WIN!!!

Nanas has a 100% authentic Mexican feel to the entire atmosphere, food, and hospitality. The vibe is great. It has a huge outside patio with an outside bar, it is decorated from top to bottom, there is a small gift shop as well, and the food and service is amazing. We had our book club get together here and they sat us fast, there was also a gender reveal party going on. Very big and roomy. The parking can be crazy but it's worth the wait. :)

Loved the Mariachi, the food and fun. Very good mole and enchiladas. Good beans! Not runny! We had a reservation so expected the table to be ready. Staff hadn't cleaned the table prior to our arrival and chairs weren't set up BUT he cleaned it up as we were seated. Very attentive wait staff. The music made the night. Menu is limited but delicious. Yummy mango margaritas.

Absolutely the best! Had lonches and they were excellent. Husband had birria taco .... to die for. On Tuesday they have all you can eat tacos for 9.99. Everything we tried was outstanding. A definite return.

This is my first time here at this Restaurant and the food was amazing. Our server Cynthia was super attentive and a great conversationalist explained some of the dishes we we're ordering. She even told us about the Mariachis Band. playing here. I'm from Houston and I will definitely be back . The food always tastes better with someone you love too!

Delicious! Stopped in for lunch and could come back everyday. The tortilla soup was delicious, full of flavor, chicken and cheese. The Lonches was fabulous.

Started eating here when this place first opened. Now it’s def a tourist spot. Which isn’t bad. Except the prices have gone way up. The food is always good, the atmosphere is great! There’s sometimes live mariachis. There is a little candy shop in there and even a little gift shop. Which is my favorite! I recommend the lonches if it’s your first time ever eating here!
