Always stay here when we use The Opera House , Alison & Kevin are fine hosts , Breakfast to suit all tastes , Can't fault it , Back again soon

I stayed for 3 nights at the Grosvenor House and all I can say it is simply superb. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The breakfasts and the choice were outstanding as was my room and the location which is right by the Opera house. As I say, simply superb

Great location. Both central to everything but quiet and right next to the park. Two minutes down the road you can fill up your water from the well and there is fresh Buxton water on your room daily. Alison and and Kevin are amazing hosts, so kind and helpful. We had lots of great tips that we wouldn’t really have found out looking in the internet. Our rooms were made up every day with fresh cookies added. Shower gel, bubble bath etc which we really didn’t expect and were a great bonus. Every day the breakfast was generous and there were great choices for veggies. When we arrived Alison asked us about our dietary requirements as they really care! Cute little dining room (right next to the gardens) where we exchanged stories with the people that came and went during our short stay. The homemade marmalade is to die for. We will definitely be back.

Amazing location, incredible service, reasonable prices and great food, we will definitely be going back. It's next to the Pavilion Gardens and right near the Crescent and Opera House. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby too, if you are planning to stay in Buxton, look no further. We hope to be going back next year when the Buxton Blues Festival is on

Brilliant location. Lovely b&b. Friendly Service. Possibly the best fried breakfast we’ve ever had! But the top floor room was very cold. Took a day to heat up. Plus this place was slightly dearer than our friends’ b&bs on the same road, which were - by and large - exactly the same.

Absolutely fabulous stay - perfect location just opposite Pavilion Gardens (where I did the Saturday Parkrun) and so convenient for everywhere. Kevin and Alison are perfect hosts and the breakfasts were to die for, one of my best breakfasts ever!! Hard to chose between my 3 favourites, full English, scrambled egg and smoked salmon and crushed avocado on sourdough with poached egg - and before that the most fabulous fresh berries with Greek yogurt, and cafetière coffee. Slept very well, rooms cosy and comfortable bed, fridge with milk and Buxton water to go with the tea and coffee and biscuits!! Wi-Fi was OK on the central landing and downstairs but didn’t quite reach our top floor room, but not a problem for us - it is an old building with solid floors and walls! Definitely will stay again and the breakfasts are just divine - worth the stay alone. Cheaper than the Old Hall Hotel and in my opinion so much better, especially the breakfasts which I can’t overemphasise just how excellent they were.

We stayed for 1 night along with friends. Both rooms where excellent with lots of extras. The breakfast was delicious, with lots to choose from. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

Nice clean rooms with everything you need in them in a lovely house right next to the park, it's run by a lovely couple Kevin and Alison who are very knowledgeable about the area, the breakfast menu is excellent , would fully recommend it

Just spent three nights at the Grosvenor House Hotel. May I say that this guesthouse is absolutely lovely. The room we stayed in was very spacious, cosy and warm, with a huge comfortable bed, and had a view looking over the park and Pavilion. Kevin and Alison the proprietors are the nicest people you could possibly imagine. The breakfast, and especially the homemade marmalade is so good. Thank you for a lovely stay. We shall definitely return.

Just back from 2 nights at the Grosvenor house, what a lovely place. Location was perfect and we had 2 rooms overlooking the gardens. A stones throw from the theatre and lots of lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Kevin and Alison were wonderful hosts, delishous breakfast and extremely comfortable beds, what more could you ask for. Thank you again for making our stay so good. Would definitely return x

Stayed for 1 night as going to theatre. Lovely central, old building with character. Close to Theatre and the restaurant we were booked into. Friendly welcome, clean room appreciate the well stocked drink selection including ground coffee and fresh milk in fridge. Good breakfast selection, quality ingredients, toast with homemade marmalade. Definitely recommend Thank you Kevin and Alison 👏

Rooms are clean and tidy, Alison and Kevin make you feel very welcome and the breakfast is 1st class.Great location I will certainly return for another visit.

Amazing place to stay in Buxton... nothing was too much trouble!! The breakfast was plentiful, hot and delicious, room was extremely comfortable and the host and hostess were ready to provide anything that we asked for. Thank you Alison and Kevin so very much 😊

we have had the pleasure of staying here twice now and will continue to do so going forward, the location is perfect for the theatre , Kevin and his wife are the nicest people and nothing is too much , the house itself is charming and spotless , if its a 5 star Ritz with no character you are looking for then this is not the place for you , the grosvenor is a very well looked after character property the rooms are tastefully decorated in keeping with the character of the house , and breakfast is just perfect( good old english) and freshly cooked when ordered , would highly recommend a stay here

A really great place to stay in Buxton. Very friendly and has great accommodation. Breakfast is excellent.
