Stayed here a few times now so I can see more of my dad. Always warm & friendly, fantastic atmosphere with such lovely staff who are all so welcoming and happy to help. Steve makes the best full English breakfast anywhere , he’s a legend and I can’t wait to come back again very soon. Thank you all for another smashing stay😁

Great pub and B&B. Great value, spotlessly clean, covid safe and extremely dog friendly. All staff amazing, professional and friendly. One of the best breakfasts I've had in ages! Highly recommend

Arrived around 10.20 after confirmation from booking site & hotel its self to be told by the manager I didn’t have a booking. Once I explained and showed my booking reference etc she then changed her mind that the hotel was full, I had drove from Newcastle and was just crossing over for a quick nights stay which I explained, she then asked if it was just a single room I was after even though she could see on her tablet I had booked a single room (Apparently the hotel was full) She then told me to contact the booking company and gave me her contact details if I couldn’t resolve. I went to my car and did with no response so called her on the contact number to explain the situation to find it was a rubbish number not on use so I went back into the hotel to find the manager sat with her friend smoking laughing about the situation having taken full payment. I knew from the moment I walked into this country side hotel establishment the way I was looked at and spoken to being a young black boy I wouldn’t be allowed to stay even if the hotel was empty sadly. I left with grace but thought I’d share if you have any ethnicity this is NOT a hotel you want to book at all.

Visiting from the USA and walked here for a last minute cocktail. Very welcoming and lovely atmosphere. It has been decades since I visited the Kinder Lodge, but it was a perfect choice. My American wife loved it too..nothing much like this in Michigan lol.

Excellent for visiting the Kinder Scout area and Kinder Reservoir. Great atmostphere in the bar with pool, darts & multi screen TVs. Rooms are a good size, warm & clean. Hot showers, large thick towels so relaxing after a good day. New Mill Curry House a mile down the Road.

Another good pub in Hayfield. This is a wet led pub. Popped in with Paulicarus. Good choice of real ales, 4 on hand pump so tried a pint of Bosley from Macclesfield's Storm brewery. Has a more locals feel v the other pubs in the village. Has a pool table and TV's. Small front patio to the front on the road from New Mills. Very close to the little bus station.

Lovely room, great welcoming pub. Friendly staff. Was a stop over for us on our way to the Lake District, so we didn't explore the area, but it is close to plenty of Peak District attractions and great views.

The owner was very friendly and welcoming. He also made a first-class cooked breakfast in the morning - you could tell he took pride in cooking it. The quality and plating up was excellent. The cost of the room (£80) for such a central location, and such a great breakfast was well worth it. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The man with glasses behind the bar, specifically around 7 O'clock on Tuesday called me a c**t for simply getting out my ID, not to mention the fact that you can get a pint for £2 pound cheaper. Wouldn't reccomend coming here.

Easy check in, great hosts, so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great after a good sleep. Showers slightly too short but you can take the head off so it's not a problem. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at Kinda Lodge for 3 nights and had a great experience. Cheap accommodation, clean room, great breakfast and very friendly staff. Also very close to lots of great hiking trails, which is the main reason for my visit here. Kinda Lodge is roughly 4 miles from Glossop train station. You can get the 61 bus from the station and its about a 10-15 minute journey into Hayfield where Kinda Lodge is based.
