Old post office was the perfect overnight getaway. It's easily located and accessible using own or public transport travelling from Manchester as I did on my visit. I was greeted with a hot cup of tea which was very welcome. Hosts are incredibly helpful, kind and knowledgeable about local area. They really want you to enjoy your time in hayfield. Breakfast was fantastic and kept me fuelled all day. Rooms may seem basic, but with views of surrounding hills and a comfy mattress (single room) I couldn't have been happier. Thanks to John & Joan for a really enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend and plan to visit in future.

Highly recommend staying here!!! The couple that run it are so lovely and welcoming and as soon as we walked through the door we where made to feel at home!! The room we stayed in was great with very comfortable bed and lovely view from the windows! Then there was the amazing full English breakfast!! Locally sourced ingredients and great service!! Would definitely stay again!!

Really friendly owners, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are warm and clean. Valuables Safe in the room i had which was a bonus. Personalised breakfast choice with tea/coffee on arrival and kettle in the room. What else can anyone ask for. Definitely recommend and will be coming back when next in the area.

Such a nice place. I needed a place last minute and late at night - they were so helpful and welcoming. The room was very comfortable - bathroom was great and breakfast was amazing. If I am in the area again I will definitely stay here. What a find!

A place like home. Very nice rooms, a modern bathroom and the best English breakfast I've ever seen! Very very lovely hosts! You feel not like a guest, but as a part of the family! Best B&B ever...

If you are looking for a special place to stay in this area, look no further!! John & Joan provide a very warm welcome and service throughout your whole stay. The evening meet and greet after your day out adds a very welcome touch and projects a feeling of coming home everyday. You really cannot put a price on their friendliness and support. Very affordable nightly rates and a top class personalised breaky too. Next time I'm in the area I know where to come!!

Lovely place to stay with wonderful hosts. Breakfast was excellent, room was comfy with a nice view, including some sheep! Felt very well looked after. Good location for visiting Castleton, with a scenic drive through Winnats pass. There are also a couple of pubs within walking distance!

Fantastic B&B the Fresh brewed pot of tea on arival after a 50 mile bike ride on the Pennine Cycle Way was nice cheers John ... "Best cup of tea ever" Bike storage was much appreciated. Basic room but worth every Penny Big Clean communal bathroom (XL bath) No tv in our room but fast wifi and ( 4g on 3 network) perfect for Netflix! There is a communal tv room with Sky with fantastic books and loads of national geographic mags.. "Fresh milk in the Milk fridge" Breakfast was superb setting us up for day 2 cycle ride to Hebden Bridge. John is a real gentleman fantastic customer service....
