Loved everything about this little coffee shop/lounge/restaurant. Not sure what to call it 😅 very inviting and super friendly staff. Great options if you are vegan or want a healthier meal as well. Just a really wholesome experience- one of those places that gives you faith in humanity again. Kid friendly and you can eat inside or outside. Takeaway is also offered with a 10% discount.

One of the best veggie burgers (bagel) with rainbow fries and coleslaw I have eaten. Many other items, both smaller and bigger, that I would like to try simply because of the variety in flavour combinations! The cakes, I had the key lime pie, and coffees also have many flavours to choose from. Have to come back..

We had the veggie breakfast and jackfruit curry, both were lovely, they catered to my fussy sisters requests with no problem. Lovely pleasant staff, definitely coming back!

Had brunch at the restaurant and the portion was huge and it tastes a little bit different compare to other brunch restaurant. Worth a try! And they are doggy friendly 🐶🐶🐶

Chakra Lounge, my experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the delectable food to the wonderful service and pleasant ambience, this place has earned a well-deserved 5-star rating in my books. The highlight of my visit was the Mummy Tiffin dish, which consisted of naan, dal, sabji, and a side of fresh salad. The flavors were outstanding, and each element of the dish was cooked to perfection. I also tried the Dal Palak and Gobi Angara dishes with rice. Both dishes were delicious and well-prepared. The Dal Palak had a lovely combination of lentils and spinach, creating a wholesome and flavorful dish. The Gobi Angara, featuring cauliflower in a spicy sauce, was a delightful treat that added a punch of flavor to the meal. To complete my dining experience, I ordered a cup of Masala Chai. The chai was aromatic and had a perfect balance of spices. It was a comforting and satisfying beverage that complemented the meal wonderfully. The restaurant had a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The service provided by the staff was exceptional. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. The Mummy Tiffin, along with the Dal Palak, Gobi Angara, and Masala Chai, were all outstanding. Chakra Lounge has definitely earned its 5-star rating, and I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Pains me to write this as we just don't want Chakra Lounge to get so busy that we cant repeat the process ! A warm welcome received and quickly guided to our table towards the rear of the restaurant. Tantalising menu choices with efficient staff made for a very relaxing and enjoyable meal. Pictures enclosed are of Potato Samosa chaat and Bhel Puri. Both delicious! Cost for these two dishes and two drinks? £12. Highly recommended.

Wonderfully flavoured hot drinks & food perfect for sharing! This allowed us to try a few more dishes. The food is exquisite, real traditional Indian Street food & not lacking in flavours at all! I would say it was slightly overpriced for the portions (in the photos each dish was £4-5, hot drink was £3.50 each) perhaps to entice people in & give the opportunity for those that can't afford this much the benefit of a discount if ordering multiples from their "small dishes" section of the menu? Just a suggestion. Generally the service was great, they were very accommodating & reassuring for vegans but when they delivered the food they failed to take away our empty cups or offer anything else to us. Multiple differed staff then proceeded to pass us by without collecting our empty cups or plates.

Super tasty food, great music and a great vibe. We booked the night before via phone but we probably didn't need to as we went on a weekday for breakfast. If you were going on the weekend then I'd recommend booking. The first thing that struck me when I went in was the smell. It's not something people think of in restaurants but it was a really light incense style smell that was warming and homely. The decor is bright but not overpowering with some quirky upside down umbrellas too. The tables are decently sized. I got a "vegan indi breakfast" and my partner got "if Indians did it". I got an iced latte and my partner got a tea. Everything was really tasty, with great consideration to each ingredient. If you didn't like coriander, I'd specify as it came with it but it wasn't overpowering. The masala beans were tasty, there were probably just too many! The sausages were Linda McCartney ones but were cooked really nicely and the scrambled tofu was great too. The standouts though were the mushrooms and sweet cumin potatoes. They offer far more than breakfast and are definitely worth a second visit.

Quirky place with friendly staff and an original menu, which happens to be delicious and veggie-friendly too! I wish I had more holiday days to try the rest of it, but I guess I'll be coming back to Buxton sooner than I thought!

Amazing! Such delicious takes on classic dishes. I got the egg bowl and my partner got the eggs benedict, really enjoyed the mix of spices. Coffee was delicious too!

First class twist on Eggs Benedict. Varied and interesting menu with so many tempting choices. The selection of warm drinks was also outstanding. This just a stand-out, must visit, place for brunch.

Fantastic food, fantastic ethos, fantastic people! We absolutely love this place, the food is always good, staff always amazing. They have a real passion for both food, and customer service, and it shines through. Treat yourself, you'll thank me later!

Lovely place. Very accommodating for people who have dietary requirements. I have a gastric sleeve so took most of my meal with me to enjoy later. Staff very friendly and helpful in regards to this. Will definitely visit again !

Wow this place is an absolute gem! Really pleased we booked to eat here on our trip to Buxton. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the food was really quick to be served, fresh and delicious! We sat outside in the sunshine but inside looked beautiful. Family friendly and the food wasn't 'spicy' so our two year old son could enjoy it with us. Highly recommend the samosa chat, fishcakes, dads tiffin and the lamb burger😍 Small baby change area in the ladies toilet so perfect! Thank you, we will be back❤️

We really enjoyed our veggie breakfast, couldn’t fault it! Would definitely recommend upgrading to masala scrambled eggs, they were the highlight of the dish and tasted amazing. The price was really good for the amount of food you got. We had a dirty chai and a gingerbread latte, both delicious. Loads of veggie and vegan lunch options that I would love to try. Staff were friendly, service was quick, can’t wait to go again next time we are in the Peaks!

Interesting cafe with a selection of Indian style drinks and food. Like 'what Indians would do if they have breakfast' there is a large selection of food and drinks with great spices. There was a very good vegan selection. Baked goods and savory dishes.

Excellent brunch. Very warm welcome, great atmosphere created by the layout and decor. Indian relaxed style makes for a pretty unique cafe experience which is a fusion of the English with Indian. Great idea, interesting menu and.wondefully created fresh food. Everybody loved their meal and we will definitely revisit. All topped off with fast, efficient and welcoming service. Nice job.

Very lovely Indian place to eat. Plates ate preferably to share and they’re exceptionally well cooked, very tasty and lots of vegetarian choices. The staff were super friendly and explained some of the dishes for is which was great.very good quality. The building itself it’s just beautiful.Really really impressive! I found it a slight modern twist on a traditional curry style restaurant. The setting is amazing, the ambience is really chill, food was all great, good level of spice! Plenty of drinks & juices options, friendly staff and overall worth visiting! We’ll be back.

Really friendly and helpful staff, and dog friendly too. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and the food was beautiful. The drinks were out of this world! The blue latte was a hug in a cup. Just perfect. Wish we lived closer, I'd be a regular! Will definitely be back next time we are in Buxton.

Excellent vegan food options. Had the burger which was delicious and the black Dahl was great too. The order at the table option was the best Ux ever had with these apps, simple to use and pay, food came fast, and easy. Didn't try the coffee as they only have alpro, which just doesn't compare to oatly, one star down for that. Looking forward to returning.

An amazing take on modern Anglo-Indian cuisine. Food was sensational and staff were really accommodating & friendly. The vibe of the cafe is amazing and also allows dogs. Would highly recommend!

Very nice vegan food and fresh fruit smoothies. Sweet potato wedges with vegan burger was awesome! Would have been 5 stars had the sauces been served in small pots or bottles rather than sachets (to be eco friendly), although I appreciate these may be available for takeaway. Would recommend as the burger was tasty at a very good price 👌😋😋😋

Came here solely based on the reviews/photos of what looked like decent coffee but unfortunately were sorely disappointed. We ordered two decaf lattes and they arrived too large so very weak, so hot that I burned my tongue and didn't taste good at all. Gave a couple of redeeming stars as the staff were quite pleasant (the waitress asked me how it was when we left and apologised when I said about it being too hot etc ie handled it well), surroundings/atmosphere was well done, food menu looked creative and delicious. Really struggling to find a good coffee in Buxton which is a surprise as it seems a 'nice' place!!
