A
picturesque
traditional
shop
which
always
makes
an
extra
effort
with
its
window
displays.
In
the
warm
cosy
interior
you'll
find
a
surprisingly
wide
range
of
beer,
wines
and
spirits
for
a
relatively
small
space.
There's
a
good
selection
of
craft
ales,
primarily
from
local
and
regional
breweries,
including
Vocation,
Twisted
Wheel
and
Red
Willow,
as
well
as
offerings
from
local
gin
and
rum
distillers.
The
staff
are
knowledgeable
and
helpful,
so
if
you
need
a
bit
more
information
on
the
stock,
they
can
assist
with
your
choices.
This
is
a
fairly
top
end
provider,
so
not
really
a
place
to
go
looking
for
cut
price
drinks;
it's
far
from
being
a
bargain
booze
outlet,
so
expect
your
wallet
to
usually
be
lighter
after
a
visit,
but
it
is
the
perfect
outlet
to
discover
quality
products,
served
in
delightful
surroundings
which
hark
back
to
charming
bygone
days.
The
shop
also
sponsors
drinks
festivals,
hosted
at
the
nearby
Transhipment
Warehouse;
again
showcasing
local
producers.
These
events
offer
an
enjoyable
way
to
gain
an
introduction
to
speciality
drinks,
as
well
as
to
encourage
support
for
small
independent
businesses
from
the
area.
Located
in
a
prime
position
on
the
village's
main
street,
right
opposite
the
railway
station
and
adjacent
to
the
canal
basin,
it's
very
easy
to
find
and
definitely
worth
a
visit.
