Buxton
Pavilion
Gardens
is
a
Victorian
landscaped
public
park,
which
is
a
Grade
II*
listed
public
park
of
Special
Historic
Interest.
The
9.5-hectare
(23-acre)
site
of
the
Pavilion
Gardens
lies
in
the
valley
of
the
River
Wye.
Two
tributaries
of
the
river
run
through
the
park
along
landscaped
courses.
The
northern
branch
spills
over
cascades
and
under
footbridges
whilst
the
southern
branch
connects
three
man-made
lakes,
the
last
of
which
has
a
fountain.
A
great
bit
of
outdoor
space,
toilets
available
in
the
park
but
locked
in
the
evening,
dog
friendly,
but
loads
of
birds
so
if
your
dog
loves
chasing
definitely
not
recommended,
you
can
tell
the
locals
feed
the
ducks
and
geese,
as
soon
as
you
go
near
the
ponds,
the
ducks
and
geese
are
all
around
you,
if
you
don't
like
birds
don't
go
near
the
ponds,
even
my
dog
didn't
know
what
to
do,
never
seen
so
many.
