I’m usually not a fan of spoons, as while the beer and food is great value for money, the clientele does not always make the place welcoming and cleanliness can be optional in some venues. The Wye Bridge House was an exception to this in my opinion and it ne of the rare places where I could find a full English breakfast at 8am in a comfortably seated environment. Bottomless coffee was a real treat and I stayed for close to 3 hours enjoying some reading, all for under £10. Can’t complain really !

I love this weather spoons! Easily one of the best I have been too, the food is always perfect the staff are kind and talkative it’s an all around great place to go! Although there are a few regular customers that ruin the experience, a small tattooed girl with pink hair and her two friends I once saw one of them eat a magazine! They’re loud disrespectful and messy, pouring drinks on floor and tables, throwing menus and other things around the building. Like I said before it’s a wonderful place, with wonderful food but some things are just out of the staffs hands.

Wetherspoon is not a standard restaurant and at least it doesn't pretend it is. It's a decent and very cheap fastfood with interesting features. Wetherspoon in Buxton lies in the beautiful valley near old road bridge (?) in former hotel with huge garden. Plenty of tables, huge toilets, outside seating and standard food and drinks, but location and building is what makes this place so unique

We had a lovely experience. It was incredibly hot so we opted for inside air conditioning. The Covid measures in place made us feel very secure. We ordered on the App and the food arrived super speedy within 10 minutes of ordering. Now speed isn't always an advantage where food is concerned but all of it was spot on despite them being incredibly busy. The staff were attentive and courteous and the food good. We would definitely visit here again.

Really disappointed with this visit. You know what you are getting with wetherspoons but I'd be reluctant to gi here again for a drink and would definitely not eat here again. Waited at the bar for about 10 minutes to be served, it wasn't busy. The bar staff took no notice of who was next just served who they wanted. Ordered food and drinks. My order was 8oz steak and wanted Mediterranean salad which wasn't available. I asked what was in the side salad (I've recently had surgery and there's certain things I can't eat) the member of staff serving me wasn't sure. The food arrived and as you can see the 'steak' was a joke, I'd asked for medium to welcome, it eas undistinguishable as steak. I ate what I could. My husband had a curry which was OK but the naan bread was crispy. We ordered another round of drinks via the app. The bar wasn't busy but the drinks arrived 16 minutes later with an apology for the wait. It's such a shame as the bar is quite nice with so much outside seating. The cook and bar staff let it down.

Visited The Wye Bridge House on 31st October. Myself and friends was visitings Buxton so we decided to have our lunch here. This spoons has a nice convivial atmosphere and the staff are very attentive and friendly. Service was good and our orders arrived within 13 minutes of ordering. I was slightly disappointed with an element of the burgers we ordered. The tomato 🍅 on the burgers was the part of a tomato 🍅that you'd throw away. I was shocked to see that they would actually put that on our burgers. The burgers was ok though usually spoons quality cheap and cheerful food. Apart from the tomato 🍅incident I'd recommend this pub as a place to stop off if you fancy a meal or drinks. There is a car park located close by and its not far from the main shopping areas of Buxton.

Been here twice, first experience was fine.. but second one today, mistreated by a bar staff named Sarah. Her colleague apologised on her behalf and I understand every bar has their protocols but her attitude towards our group was very cold and discriminating. I wish I had more time so I could flag this up with the manager but unfortunately I was only here for less than 5 minutes. I know everyone has their bad days but I really hope you don’t let this affect your treatment of customers. I’m not expecting a 5star service but just being spoken to nicely WITHOUT discrimination would be a great start. All the best.

Very good, staff were very polite, bathrooms were amazing, so clean and spacious! Food was amazing with such a variety. Lovely environment to enjoy a delicious meal and refreshing drink! Easy to order, we used the app which was quick and easy.

Wye Bridge Weatherspoons, was descended upon by the New Mills Hornets after winning the Championship football ⚽. The staff were extremely busy but willing to help and coped very well with a sudden demand for breakfast to over 30 in the group. A massive thank you for not only coping 🙏 but also with a helpful smile and great service.

Pub was very busy, but the food was served quickly and efficiently. It was a noisy atmosphere but friendly (it was a Friday evening to be fair). Food quality ranged from okay to very good. Nothing amazing but for the price you can't complain. However the Mediterranean salad my wife ordered with her steak was pretty laughable, 2/3 precut iceberg lettuce (is that actually part of a Mediterranean salad? I don't think so...)

Very busy. Had the brunch menu as we arrived too late for the breakfast menu. Food was pretty standard. Had to go up to the bar to place our orders, but food was brought to our table when it was ready. Staff were evidently very busy as there was lots of foot traffic in and out; it was a busy Friday afternoon. Ordered hot chocolate and was handed a sachet of chocolate + 2 mugs and had to make our own drinks (weird). They did offer unlimited refills of tea/coffee, so tradeoff, I guess.

Best Weatherspoons by far! Fantastic location, great views from the conservatory area. Great food, of course and working drinks machines. Wonderful birthday venue for my family.

This is the best weatherspoons I've been in. Never had to wait for a drink, as soon as a table was empty the staff cleared it and wiped it down. Did not have to wait long for food about 5mins maybe longer for steaks. Had the special empire state burger only £5.99 normally £11.49 was very good couldn't eat it all though. Has a large beer garden and also has some good real ales. Worth a visit.

Lovely food. It's a pity there are not more larger tables as we were a party of 6 but had to use 2 tables as the 2 larger tables were in use but no matter. Food is lovely

A lovely characterful building in a fairly picturesque setting. Interesting structural lighting adds to the feel in one section but other areas also have different ambience depending on your mood - and table availability I guess! Male toilets to one side of the buiding, female and disabled at the other. Usual Wetherspoons fare which was served relatively quickly and there are two coffee machines available.

I've always loved a spoons, it's nice food for not a lot of money. The staff are lovely and kid friendly. I'd only say that the steak and chips felt a bit lacking, I definitely got what I asked for but was still quite hungry afterwards. I think if the mixed grill can have tomato and mushroom then so can a normal steak dinner. I do require a lot of food though so I could just be a glutton

Truly excellent steak, the best I've had in a long time. Fast friendly service. Reasonable price considering cost of living rise, withe the best steak meal and a drink for around £13. Highly recommend the cookie dough desert for taste but the desert price was far too expensive for the portion size.

I loved the crispy chicken burger and it came with a generous amount of chips. The service was amazing, with my food coming 3 minutes after I ordered. The worst part was a Manchester United fan.

Called before and after a gig and the pub was busy. Great atmosphere, and a good musician playing , but was very annoyed at a member of staffs attitude. Took my drink whilst talking to my wife from alongside me thinking O had finished it. Tried to catch him him and explain I hadn't finished drink but he had placed another glass in it so was too late. Poor attitude toe no apology, just a shrug of shoulders ! Went to buy another, he actually served me no offer of not paying for the half, arrogant !

Nice pub with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. No parking, but there is parking just off the roundabout down the road - walk up to the zebra crossings to get across as the road is very busy & parking is free after 6pm. Food was good, garlic bread was very crisp... a bit too much so for us, but everything else was good :)

Always a good and cheap place to go, a bit noisy on a Friday, but it is expected, it is part of the weekend ambient. There is a small but nice children park that we can see if we sit outside, so the kids can have some fun while we finish our food. The food is always good, I tried a bit of everything and I can't complain of absolutely nothing. I will keep visiting for sure.

I ordered a tikka masala with chips and a garlic Nan along with a pint of shandy . When my curry arrived I asked where the garlic Nan was. I’ll go and check. Came back after I’d eaten over half. It wasn’t on the order! Do you still want one. It will be 35p! I looked at her and then at my remains and said too late. No thanks! 🤬🤬🤬 Anywhere else would have brought me one straight away !!! or got the order correct in the first place. No apologies or nothing!

It's a Wetherspoon. I enjoyed the cheap drinks, fast service and the 3 starters for £10.85. The only downside was the nachos had very little cheese but my other 2 dishes were good and at those prices I can I let that go.

Always a good experience just wish it was closer to the market but they do have the cheapest drinks and good pub stile food.

Had a lovely day. Sun was shining. Lot of tables available outside. Great way to while away some of the bank holiday. Love using the app. Even the toilets were lovely. Clean. Well designed. Lots of nice people and a great atmosphere .

Had a lovely meal here. We were staying near the area and decided to go here for something to eat. Service was quick and the staff were really friendly. The food was delicious and the cocktail was good too. The only downside is the parking, as we didn't know the area we struggled to find some parking as there isn't any at the pub. Luckily we found a space round the corner on the roadside and was only a minute walk to the entrance.

Food was good, drinks were cheap, typical weatherspoons. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was very rowdy with groups of day drinkers which is to be expected. Otherwise all good

Typical Weathersoons. Nice outdoor space. But next to a very, very busy road. We had to walk some distance to find a way to cross the road. And not quite sure it was the Mocha drink that didn't agree with me,I but I won't be trying it again.

For the first time I tried thr vegetarian breakfast wrap - devine. Really enjoyed it and already know my next breakfast order. They have done away with the car park which is a shame as you can clearly see bays marked but now there are tables and chairs. As someone who is visiting this town by car I found it unpractical.

Loved the beer Garden. Its Stunning, relaxing and overlooking a thick woodland. Really enjoyed the mixed grill, drinks and a fabulous evening on a Summer day... Would highly recommend.

Lovely place staff friendly but a bit slow serving lots of choices of draft beers good food one thing to watch out for is a dangerous step as you come in pub and head towards Bar.
