Visited this gem of a place for a circular walk and will definitely visit again! Park at the end of the dead-end street (cash pay and display (Β£2.50 all day)) near the train station and across the way you will see a small path leading down towards the picturesque Millennium Way bridge, To the right is a dog friendly pub called The Shrub. Visited late afternoon and maybe walked past a total of 10 people which was great when wanting to take a few pictures. Interesting facts about this area which are worth looking up before visiting as well as the circular route (around 3.5 miles) that takes you past the marina.

Excellent setup, really well thought out; blending the industrial heritage with up-to-date technology/architecture to make a great set of walks, fun adventures and experiences. The visitors' centre is currently closed but there are plenty of cafes and coffee shops on the high street in New Mills in which to buy refreshments (We found Gioia Mia, run by a lovely Palestinian man Ali, to be great and he couldn't do enough for you - their coffees and breakfast butties are superb!). You could go to the Torrs Riverside Park for an hour or make a day of it, it really is that good/flexible. We'll definitely be back - one of the finds of the pandemic!

Fairy decent loop to walk down the river bank, waterfall, rapids and nice scenic view. A fair amount of bridges too and history of what was once there. There's also a bar come cafe that serves the basics should you want a drink or snack. Ideal for all the family and ages too

Nice area for walk. Parked in Tors car park in New Mills for four mile walk. Firstly along the River Goyt then the Peak Forest Canal, then back along the river. Spotted a Grey Heron looking for lunch. Had nice tea and cake at The Clockwork Cafe just two minutes from car park.

Such a fun walk with interesting scenery at every turn. There's a couple of loops you can do some shorter and some a bit longer. I've only been in autumn/winter months so can imagine it's even prettier during the summer. Worth noting it can be packed with other dog walkers. The bridge is a really cool structure to walk across

The Torrs Riverside Park is a surprisingly impressive place. The post-industrial landscape mixed with the dramatic natural features makes the Park a must-see place. The Millennium Walkway along a huge wall above the river is equally impressive. We walked to it from The Sycamore Inn, which is further up the Sett Valley.

A nice scenic spot with great views especially of the bridge and the riverside. Would be better if there were more handrails and support for the elderly along the steep stairways as some paths are very steep. Otherwise a really good place to visit for long walks.

A good place for a family walk, you will need a baby carrier though rather than a pushchair in the wet and muddy months.

Relatively peaceful and interesting walk taking the Goyt valley circular tour and the Millennium Walkway. A great mix of nature and old industrial history and some fantastic bridges & viaducts.

What a lovely place for a walk. There’s a spot for some bouldering close to the hydro station, which in itself is a great thing to see. Further down stream you have the Millennium Walkway, which is also worth a visit whilst here
