Came and played pickle ball for our preparation day activity as missionaries! Definitely would recommend, even though it was a bit rainy it still worked out great! Also if anyone wants to talk about Jesus with us then visit ComeUntoChrist.org

It's a nice park for the kids to play in the play area along with covered huts for Birthday parties and miniature tennis courts lol and a baseball field. Also we call it the shady park because it has a lot of trees around the play ground to keep us cool even when it's 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

4-4-22 Small park. This is the southernmost entrance (currently) to the High Point Greenway. Parking here for maybe ten cars. Doggie bags and trash can here. Near this lot are several pickleball courts. Has a lighted baseball field with a small bleacher stand. Shaded mostly. Park has a small playground contraption (slides, bars, etc), and two shelters. This area also has its own parking for maybe 10 cars. The shelters are well maintained. Picnic table near the shelters too. There are a few creeks and benches sporadically placed. It's a basic park with the basic stuff.

Greenways trail is paved which is nice for biking, walking, running and roller blading. Only 1 point where you have to leave the park and cross the street to continue the trail. As a trailhead you can walk from Armstrong all the way through the north end of the high point university campus. Once you go through the tunnel there is a fence on each side (presumably to prevent trail hikers from casually walking onto campus. But it’s nice if you have a dog that gets off the leash. Once you enter this portion you cannot leave the trail until you pass completely though campus. There’s a little creek that runs alongside the trail on this entire portion of the path. Really nice area. Pickle ball and basketball courts available at Armstrong as well.

I've had good and bad experiences at Armstrong Park. I've been coming here for 26 years (I'm 26 and live next street over on Qubein/Montlieu). It's an okay park to bring people to and I see the city of High Point is actively trying to update and keep this park the best since it's so close to HPU. It's best to visit this park when the University is in session since there's better law enforcement presence in addition to more people. The park sometimes has people hanging out there at night (7 PM to 6 AM) with some of the criminal elements out and about. High Point Police's P2C system can allow you to check some of these reports out. Public bathrooms sometimes are locked during the day.

Loved the shaded walking trails, not to hot on the lil ones paws so I know they appreciated it. Clean and lovely picnic areas. We will definitely be coming back

This park is not very well maintained the bridge leading into the park is falling apart that is a real hazard. The lawn is not being mowed regularly the path has broken pavement these are things that will cause dangerous accidents to both walkers bicyclists. not to mention broken tree branches in a pile next to the crick bed that will be a nice home for snacks near the children's area

I love this park! I frequently walk/run the Greenway and I love starting here at Armstrong Park. The route runs through the HPU campus and into the Deep River Rd. area and beyond. There are a couple of areas on the Greenway that could use some maintenancing (aged wood), but all the paths are safe and secure for the most part (and paved!). The constituents use the park frequently so there are typically people there throughout the day. There are police patrols periodically which aid in keeping the public safe and vehicles protected from possible vandalism/break-in. If you're new to the area and enjoy a great park to stroll and enjoy the scenery or if you're a local and just weren't aware of this park. I highly recommend it!

I wish they would put some type of door for privacy when using the ladies bathroom. And ventilate the restroom. Otherwise picnic and park area were awesome

The start of the High Point Greenway. I love running here in the mornings. Just as the fog starts to rise, and the birds begin to sing. Sometimes I hear an owl in the distance.

Very nice playground for 5-12 year olds. Not great for small kids though. Lots of drop offs into a creek, no fencing, and dangerous bridges. We stopped for a picnic and I had to hold my 2 year old's hand or follow closely behind him at all times.

Play pickleball here regularly. Only four courts and often very crowded. We're hoping that High Point recognizes the need and expands the number of courts around the area.

Haven't been in a longgg time! Enjoyable features: small number of visitors on a weekday, found a nice size crawdad, usable playground equipment, lots of shade and I was with two grands.
