Well,
as
they
say,
"You
get
the
bang
for
your
buck!"
-
And
in
this
motel's
case,
that
can
be
taken
quite
literally.
Visit
One:
The
rooms
had
a
charming
touch
of
"antique",
and
the
amenities,
while
reminiscent
of
a
MacGyver
episode,
were
functional.
Thin
walls
did
make
for
an
auditory
adventure,
but
I
felt
like
I
got
the
vintage
motel
experience.
All
things
considered,
it
was
akin
to
ordering
a
budget
meal
-
it
wonβt
be
gourmet,
but
it
fills
the
belly.
Visit
Two:
The
night
check-in
resembled
a
fast-food
drive-thru
window
more
than
a
motel
in
that
I
was
required
to
interact
with
the
front
desk
through
a
teller
window.
The
local
patrons
communicated
parking-lot-to-room
in
robust,
operatic
voices.
Upon
my
traditional
bed
bug
inspection
(a
habit,
not
a
reflection
on
this
place),
I
unearthed
an
"adult
toy"
that
quite
resembled
more
a
forearm
than
a
reproductive
part.
Now,
whether
it
was
a
forgotten
relic
or
a
cheeky
tip
for
housekeeping
remains
a
mystery
of
the
ages.
In
summary,
this
is
one
of
the
most
wallet-friendly
motels
in
High
Point.
Just
remember,
in
these
kinds
of
places,
surprises
await
-
some
more
vibrant
than
others.
Looking
for
perfection?
Look
elsewhere.
Looking
for
something
good?
Eh..
you
should
probably
still
look
elsewhere.
Looking
just
for
somewhere
to
sleep
to
avoid
potential
sleep
deprivation,
car
camping,
and
psychosis?
Depending
on
your
threshold
for
the
unexpected,
it
may
work.
My
tolerance
level
might
be
higher
than
most,
but
staying
here
is
quite
the
experience.
