Old School bakery with decent prices. Been around for decades. Products that I have sampled were all good and prices are fair. Fritter was decent but I have had better. Customer service can be hit and miss depending on who waits on you.

I am a native to the Piedmont Tried, I’ve moved away and lived many places, but there is always one place that I have to visit when I’m in town, Sweet Shoppe Bakery. I’ve recently moved back to the area and this is my birthday cake and I am beyond excited for the biggest bite of nostalgia I’m about to take when I eat a piece of this cake because their cake and icing recipe has not changed! If you can think of a design, they can do it. Not only are their cakes amazing they also have cookies, pies, and so much more. Do yourself a favor, treat yourself, it will be well worth the sugar crash later!!

Good variety of baked goods. Cake decorating awsome. I ordered a cake for a retirement party. I had no idea how I wanted it decorated. I only knew the colors we were using.The retiree loves to golf, and when I told the young lady who helped me that she immediately got a book with a picture of a golfer on a cake. Great customer service. The cake was moist and delicious.

I used to love this bakery. I purchased sugar cookies, iced sugar cookies, and various pastries. The sugar cookies were good everything else not so much...The bakery looks drab, dirty, and unkempt. Not to mention several flies in some of the display cases.

The Sweet Shoppe just baked a cake for my sisters 58th birthday and it was just as delicious as the cake that they did for my wedding in 1979. Almost 44 yrs ago. Talk about consistency. Amazing!!!! ❤😋

This is a High Point treasure passed on to a 3rd generation baker. I've been buying cakes and pies from the Sweet Shoppe for over 30 years and the taste and service has always been great. Love their red velvet so much that I had Ken Jr make my wedding cake in 2009. If you have a sweet tooth you can't miss at the sweet shoppe.

Called to see if cake was ready on Friday the 9th as ordered they couldn't find my name 1st, then 2nd was told cake was supposed to be picked up Saturday, 3rd wasn't asked if I needed anything else (like candles) girl just rang up and gave me a total no thank you, have a nice day or anything . Sad

So good!!! This bakery is a gem of a place. Their staff is friendly and the treats are delicious. Such a great place.

Favorite bakery in town! They are a little expensive compared others in town but worth it!

Fun bakery that does everyone a service during the holidays and adds Dewey's items to their stock. The brownies with icing are my favorite!

Would have loved to give 5 stars because I’ve actually been ordering cake from this place since I was old enough to remember!! But this last experience has really put a bad taste in my mouth😡 the elderly lady who took my order did not take my order correctly and somehow they made it my fault of course! So the cake I was suppose to have didn’t make to the party 👎🏾👎🏾

I went to pick up a last-minute birthday cake and they were great!

The frosting was good but the cake was dry my Steelers emblem was done but the trimming was sloppy I was not impressed and my service wasn’t very friendly I also brought a cookie that tasted burnt brownie was good I felt like I had paid $40 bucks for a dry cake my first time using this bakery and last

This is a beloved family bakery that I try to get cakes, cupcakes and cookies from when I'm in town.

Oh my GOODNESS hands down for variety. If you don't find something you like here something's wrong . Stopped by on my way to work and brought it back to the office and these people just LOVED it. They couldn't believe the variety of sweets I brought back. KUDOS to this Sweet Shoppe Bakery.

In law terms knowingly & purposely means You knew exactly what you did. Purchased a cake today & the lady said it’s a special half the price. Get Home Cut a slice & had to throw the rest of the cake away cause it was hard no taste. Dry. You lost me as a customer cause you knowingly & purposely sold me a cake u knew was no good. That’s Deceptive Selling Practices

This bakery has been around for as long as I can remember. Years ago you could go and get quality baked goods for a fair price. The cakes and cookies were always good. On my last two visits it has been a big disappointment. Limited options. Cookies that were so dry they broke while the employee was placing them in the box. She gave us a few extra to make up for breaking them. But extra bits of bad cookies don't make them taste good. We purchased a cake as well on both of these visits. In both cases there were extremely limited options available. The cake was rather pricey and lacked any kind of wow factor to account for the price. You could buy a boxed cake mix and prepare it badly and it would still rival if not exceed the cake from sweet shop. It is sad to see how things have gone. I can't even blame pandemic staffing because the same people are there who worked there years ago.
