This is a WONDERFUL grocery store. They’re mainly in the Carolinas and it’s so refreshing to get so much local and regional foods in one place. Love the customer service - the staff was so helpful. And they have a bar that you can taste test draft beers and they change them out nearly every day. I wish I lived in the Carolinas just so I could come here and shop. Did I mention the bbq deli? Like legit they have an entire section devoted to smoked and braised meats. The bartender was also the best. Super engaged with customers and really knew her product. Five out of five stars!

I had a bad experience with the lady at the chicken counter. I was doing Instacart and she didn’t want to give me 4 orders of the 8 PC chicken, telling me it would take all her chicken. That’s not my problem, the chicken is not for show. She then proceeded to tell me to tell my customer that they were waiting on a truck .. just the runaround. I will NOT LIE TO ANYONE about anything and the integrity here is off. Her attitude was very rude and uncaring. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Extremely clean and fresh look. A bit more expensive than Harris Teeter or Target, but nevertheless the modern ambience feels lovely and the absolutely massive selection of wine and beer coupled with the in-store bar make this grocery store a popular hangout spot.

The most unprofessional management I have ever worked for. The store manager plays favorites badly and is the rudest person I've ever met. The assistant manager is lazy and a liar. He does not care about who he manages. They have been and are running that store into the ground. I love Lowes as a company until they stuck me in that store to run their deli. What a horrible place to be employed. I can't stress enough how horrible the store manager is and co manager. What horrible people to be running a store. Beware of shopping here. The employees are miserable but scared to say anything bc of retaliation from the store manager . The company continues to let this man ruin peoples views of Lowes and it is sad. I hope the president of lowes is made aware of the horrible store he has in Jamestown .

Love to swing by anytime to be honest. Not too far from work or home and their deli is where I'm hooked. Varieties of foods and deals. Can't forget Sushi Wednesday also! Every week you can pick different kinds to try that will be one sale marked with a sticker of $4.99! I got my co workers to swing by also to grab some during lunch. Satisfied and workers there are always greeting nicely. Comfortable atmosphere and very clean! Quality servicing you wouldn't have to worry about!

I'm loving Lowes today. I can't believe they went out of their way to send a box of goodies to my home. See pics I typically buy my groceries in Harris Teeter and Walmart, and go to Lowes to buy more specialized items. I will be shopping there more often from now on. HT and Walmart should learn a thing or two. Thank you Lowes. You made our day.

Prices are 5 to 10% higher than the average grocery store. That said, product quality and the customer service experience should be stellar. They have some exceptional employees, however some of the younger ones at checkout should not be interacting with customers. (I don’t want to be here …..eye roll….yawn ….attitudes.) Food quality in most departments is on par with other grocery stores.

Mainly, I love the Deli. Great fried chicken and sides. We talked to Cheryl for a bit. She makes good deli sandwiches to take on hikes. They also have made fresh little pizzas. Shopping prices are high but have a robust selection of goods.

Never again!! Long story short, I order lowes food to go (pick up) because I detest food shopping. It’s not that hard, here’s what I want, substitutions are ok!! Three weeks ago I order I get $60 in meat, that was someone else’s order, I could keep it, but karma (you know). So I call the store, I felt like I was bothering them!!! Really?? Last week I order, I’m told there’s no chicken or steak and the butcher won’t have any!! Ok?? Everything else is good! Please leave.a survey (don’t ask if you want the truth), there are 3 other items that I was NOT told were out of stock. Get a call, give me a $25 credit to order again. First time shame on you, second time shame on me!!! Got a call, the steak I ordered was not available, ok it’s fine, substitute it!! Ok! Bring home the food, no steak!!! SMH!!! Never again!!! Offer me everything, still no!!! Some people may think, it’s not that much of an issue. True!! But I meal plan my dinners, I put a lot of work into it! Maybe it’s. a petty thing, but how many chances to you get it right??

To Lowes Food Management: I think you guys should be ashamed of the high prices you are charging your customers and the entire chain needs to change its name to High Foods. I normally come in for a few ends and odd items. But I had to do a double take when I seen that a standard size of Doritos is basically $6.00. The food industry made millions during Covid because all people could do was stay home and mainly by grocery. I know you guys are going to say supply chain management issues which no one believes because most stores show full shelves of products. This is for all stores that are charging ridiculous prices and starving average working-class people. I would say you should be ashamed of yourself and your vendors, but I know you are not. Someone just went into their excel forecasting sheet to determine how much money they could gain by sky rocketing prices to increase their button line to the corporate cronies.

not a bad place, just a little expensive compared to Walmart. They do have some brands and styles that Walmart doesn't carry and they do have a better selection of packaged vegetarian foods. I liked the décor of the store and the bakery/meat department/fresh vegetables area is set up well. My only issue is the cost.

Love this store. Great location, and they have great prices. They have a great deli, and I love to get hot food when I don't feel like cooking.

Front desk customer service is horrible. Don’t tell customers what they need to do in a condescending way, it’s your job to make things right. Employees at this store have bad attitudes…..the only time they smile is when they’re all gathered around the CS counter laughing or screwing off. The store manager holds no one accountable and needs to spend more time at the front of the store. Expensive grocery store with a subpar customer service experience. Not a good combination.

The building is clean and has a great atmosphere! I love the stalls for the bakery, deli, etc. The pick-and-prep saves me so much time and really helps me cut down on food waste on certain produce! The deli has great options for quick meals for lunch or dinner and the beer den makes it a worthwhile experience with a professional within reach. We always take advantage of the sushi Wednesday deal and the sushi chefs make great rolls! Always quick to make a request and very consistent on quality. I have had great experiences with Lowe's foods to-go as well! Connie and her team made sure my order was perfect and strived to make sure I was happy which is so helpful on busy days or days where I can't make it to the store. It is an experience that has beat all my other pick-up experiences in the area! Thank you to the Lowe's foods team as a whole for always being friendly and helpful! Throughout the pandemic, service never once suffered in my experience.

This location has a serious issues with profiling. I’ve noticed myself being watched before and quite frankly I usually avoid this store cause it’s some better stores in the area, but I went in anyway. Immediately picked up my basket and noticed the store manager who was stacking baskets at the time take notice of me. No problem you should be conscious of your store I guess. Next thing I know I’m being followed by asset protection, not well of course, he was waking through the store with a grocery bag holding beer. Then when I checked out he proceeded to stand right where I was checking out at. Made me so uncomfortable I opened the purse I had wide open when paying to make sure he could see I wasn’t stealing. In addition I had on leggings so I obviously could not hide anything if that’s what I wanted to do. I’m not going to spend my money here anymore cause it’s some serious issues here. I’ve gone to other Lowe’s and no issues like this. Read previous posts on this location I’m not the only one who has experienced this. Also, I worked customer service for many years before a career change and y’all need better asset protection and then maybe you could catch people actually up to something.

Of all places to find lovely Tombstone Flower Saddles.... To my surprise Lowes has pre-arranged artifical flower saddles just waiting to be purchased. I purchased a blue & white flower saddle for $44.99. They come in 2 sizes: small & large. Unexpected wonderful find!

Nice convenient supermarket that's clean and can't beat the smoked wings. They are delicious. They also have a good variety of beer and wine

I love this place. They have a great selection. If you drink, you'll really like it. Their deli/meat/seafood area is top notch, too 🤌

Lowe’s is very expensive! And the loyalty card doesn’t work most of the time. I try to only go here when in a pinch.

  • 5/5 Andrea 11 months ago on Google
The prices were surprisingly lower than I expected, and the customer service was great! They have some tables and chairs in the wine and beer section and offer a schedule as you walk in of events and tastings. It's a lovely place to have a drink and sample the fairly priced wine selection!

If you read my review prior today, you know that I had a situation at this Lowes, that I was very displeased with, but I would like to edit my review and thank Lowe’s Food in Jamestown for going above and beyond to make sure that this situation was rectified. As I previously stated I really love this Lowes it’s a beautiful location very homely and I appreciate the quality of the food and service mostly I’ve always before that situation felt welcome. BUT I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to the managers and Owners of Lowes for being customer focused and really making sure their customers are taken care of! You have definitely won my heart again! ♥️

Dirty, run down, discusting. There are large cracks in the concrete in the rest room, with a puddle of water from a water leak and or urine. The workers are not eager to help you, or know the answers to your questions. Does not seem well managed or it is understaffed. Messy, noisy and confusing store. The moral is bad. The employees don't seem to like working there, and don't know how to do their job or know the policies. Too expensive, with hardly any good sales. The best supermaerkets in the area, in order of best to least are: Publix, Harris Teeter, Foof Lion, Walmart, Target, and Lowes.

I normally like coming to this store. However I got off work 6am from working all night. Waited a hour for the store to open. I went in empty my coins in the Coinstar. The leader watch as I did it. Then I went shopping then I had to wait for cashier to check out for my WIC. After that the person in charge of Guest Service said 8am. I wouldn’t know when something open unless it’s posted or someone say something. I need this store to do better with their customer service or posted when different departments is open. The leader person name is Hank. Also another person had to go get him at 8am.

Tonight I came in for some late night cold cuts and I wasn't waiting very long but I did notice I was waiting on the person to finish being on their phone. They didn't have what I normally go in there for and that was okay. I decided I was going to try something new to the family but not new to me. I don't expect an upbeat personality but I do expect common courtesy. I requested that she changed her gloves because she had just touched the freezer door where she came from, her phone etc.. the meat I requested she slammed down on the table that wasn't cleaned and wasn't placed on the rapper it just came out of. Just thrown there on the table.. So I said it's okay forget it and I walked away. This isn't the first time that I met with frustration of some kind upon request of glove changes and it's not the first time that I see mishandling with the meat in this section. When I go to Publix I noticed a significant difference in the smell of the meat as well.. my local Lowe's always gives me foul smelling turkey and when I travel a little further to my local Publix I took notice it doesn't smell the same.. I try to bring rationality to it like maybe this is the way it's supposed to smell but as I'm writing this it's just a careless staff. I was shocked to see the way she just threw food open like that on the table that wasn't even clean. I guess I'm going to have to take my business elsewhere because it's not worth the hassle. I asked for management and a young man tells me okay he comes back and then tells me he's management.. I told him they normally come in a different color shirt and he looks at me wide-eyed and says I'm management I said okay never mind thank you though.

I had the best experience in that store. The sausage corner was the highlight of my visit. Brandon offered so much information on the various types of sausage. I purchased several and they were excellent.

I love Lowe's Grocery Store, never knew about this store until I visit Greensboro, NC. Love the fact that people can make a purchase and donate to the food pantry. We need a Lowe's everywhere. Employees are very helpful and polite.

I usually love coming to Lowes Food, the muffins and fruit are great! I came here to myself and my Goddaughter some this morning. This particular time I went through self checkout because there was one checkout line open and there was a good number of people there. I checked out my food as normal, Hank was the self checkout associate over the area at the time and he was very kind. Another associate came over to the area where I was checking out and she steadily watched me, her name is Aundrea. Aundrea stared at me the whole time I was checking out, there were other people checking out at other stations as well. After scanning everything, she asked me did I ring up the milk I obviously rang up and bagged. And she told me as a customer service representative it’s her job to watch me. I never experienced being profiled in a grocery store. It’s sad and concerning what people continue to judge your character by your age, color, and what you wear. Normally everyone is nice, it’s experiences like these keep people from coming back. I advise retraining staff on proper customer service.
