I really appreciate the fact that High Point has a lot of opportunities to learn things that many people don't think about having to know when they leave college, but the school is just too highly priced for the level of education that it offers. When I went there, the tours focused a million times more on novel things like the on-campus steakhouse or the statues, but what you have to realize is that a large amount of the money paid to the school goes into that instead of hiring top of the line professors or the highest end technology. I personally don't think high point is really worth its 36,000+ cost.

As a Senior at this extraordinary school I am extremely lucky to go here! High Point University has given me three great years and I have loved every minute of them. Not only is it a beautiful campus but it is filled with wonderful people who truly do care. A person can not simply get a good idea at what High Point University offers off of a review, so please explore for yourself how great this university is.

My daughter was recently accepted and we’ve toured the campus and attended an open house. The campus is beautiful and they offer practical skills that apply to the real world. HP is ranked highly by independent sources. I’ve read all of the google reviews and the only low ratings are from people who aren’t actual students. Informed opinions (students and their parents) seem to be 100% 4-5 Star and I value them more than someone who was dragged to a campus tour by their HS.

I visited HPU for a business seminar and spent a day being taught by Dr. Nido Qubein on business entrepreneurship. Dr. Qubein was a wonderful speaker, and went through the history of HPU for the past 15 years or so. The positive changes for the university has been incredible. The campus is beautiful, and the staff there is courteous. They're continuing to grow each year. I'm really impressed with this university.

I have had two of my three children graduate from HPU. The third one just finished freshman year. The experience, the academics and how they have learned about “life” has been Outstanding. If there were 6 stars, I would have rated it a 6.

High Point University is a phenomenal institution. With top-notch professors, a breathtaking campus, and a diverse and unique body of students, this forward-thinking school prepares students for their future on an individualized basis, and earns its spot among the pantheon of pristine Carolinian colleges and universities. Here, there is something for everyone: from a beautiful and thriving Greek Village, to a chamber dedicated to video game development, to fitness centers in almost every building on campus, or Victorian rooms of elegant furnishings and quiet baroque melodies for studying. As a last note, the faculty of this school is such an astounding assembly of amazing individuals that one might easily be fooled into thinking that employment at High Point University is a requirement for excellence. All in all, this school could quite possibly be the best in the nation, if not the nation of today, then at least the nation as it's going to be.

I can’t say enough wonderful words about HPU! It became not only a college experience for both my sons but it became a family experience as well. It really is a loving, nurturing, caring environment. They both met lifelong friends and got involved in numerous activities and organizations. They blossomed under guidance and involvement from accessible professors and staff. We felt the university stood for the values and morals we nurtured in our sons from birth. We wanted a setting where they would continue to grow in the ideals and integrity they were striving for. Both my sons graduated from the school of business and my oldest has been with the same company for 4 years which began with an internship his junior year. HPU continues to hold a bright and special place in all our hearts. Yes we miss it, but they do stay in touch and it’s fun to encourage other students to see for themselves what an amazing opportunity could be theirs at High Point.

When your child enters the, "Where am I going to college" phase, you truly hope that it is somewhere that will be a safe place and home for four years! One that will encourage, nurture, and help your student meet their dreams and goals! We are beyond thankful that we discovered High Point University! The experience my daughter is receiving at High Point University is not one she would receive at any other university she looked at! The professors truly care for the students. I never dreamed she would receive the mentoring she has as a freshman! The approach to academics (not one test after another), has allowed her to soar academically!!! I have to admit, I never dreamed her transformation would be so amazing her first year!

I was impressed with this u I resort from the moment I stepped onto the campus for my sons orientation. The focus on the students success was spoken of in each segment of the orientation and a part of the entire staffs focus. The school provides every opportunity for each student to have all of the tools needed to be successful in life from the moment they start along with providing the Christian values needed as well. I am proud to see my son at this university, the campus is gorgeous, the staff members and professors are very caring individuals and the entire campus focus is " Be Extraordinary", to me that is setting up every student up to become Extraordinary, that's amazing.

Why is this university in high point??? If it doesn’t trust it’s residential neighbors. Getting on campus shouldn’t be like getting on a military base and requiring a drivers license that they hold in custody is overboard, this dystopian bubble they’re creating in a city with such a rich history as High Point is extreme, ridiculous, and quite elistist

So incredibly grateful for my daughter's experience at HPU. She had amazing professors who prepared her both in and out of the classroom for her to be career-ready. All of the staff at HPU are so caring and truly are there to assist your students. The dorms are beautiful, the security team always goes above and beyond, the learning resources are abundant, and the president, Dr Qubein, continually does the right things right! He has transformed this university into the extraordinary place it is today. He is approachable, transparent, and a tremendous role model for the students. Our daughter had two fantastic internships during her time at HPU and was offered two incredible job opportunities in the fall before she graduated in May. She is happily and successfully employed and walked into this new chapter feeling very well-prepared. We dropped off a timid, shy freshman girl and got back after graduation, a mature and confident young woman.

What a beautiful college campus! While in town my GPS told me to take a shortcut thru the campus and so glad I did! Classical music playing outloud outside! Beautiful statues of famous people who were all a big part of history and were smart and inspirational people. It was really cool to be able to sit right next to them on the bench. Takes you back in time...

My daughter will be a senior and she has had opportunities at this school that would have been rare at other universities. An on- campus internship within her major led to her getting an amazing internship this summer and most likely a job when she graduates. But it's not just about the job - the experience here has been fun, safe, social and generally positive, so much so that our younger child will be attending as a freshman this next year.

Absolutely horrific place, went there, they treat students as if they’re still in high school. Little freedom, student life is a joke. Plus the overall education is not all that great. I went there and am embarrassed to tell people. Especially when it came to getting jobs earlier in my life. Nothing but shame for this place.

An incredible university in every way. Solid academics with many opportunities for tutoring / extra help for students who need it. Stunningly gorgeous, clean, and well maintained campus. Great dorms with enough for every student - no students stranded without housing, trying to swing the crazy high rents right now. The president takes a personal interest in every student, and is visible, approachable, and responsive. He teaches a required life skills seminar for all incoming freshmen. The amenities are top notch, and the university is always growing and improving on what is already awesome. A dream school!

Amazing University! Its is with such happiness that I prepare to watch my daughter walk that stage. I have known the impact the University has had on the community of High Point for years but to see first hand how they support their students was something that will always stick with me. They truly do care and when they say God, Family & Community I have seen first hand they live it! If you ever have an opportunity to visit the campus for one of their many community events please make sure you attend. I promise it will inspire you.

As a parent of a High Point University graduate, I can confidently say that his time at this Extraordinary institution was a transformative and enriching experience. Graduating from HPU not only provided him with a quality education but also equipped him with the life skills and the mindset needed to excel in both his personal and professional life. I am so proud of my son for graduating from High Point University and would highly recommend it to any prospective student seeking an all-encompassing college experience.

Wonderful school, I have nothing terrible to say about the school. The negative review is for the students. I've seen the HPU student go into local businesses such as Target, Walmart, and other surrounding businesses and just trash the place on purpose and laugh about it. I know this isn't the type of behavior tolerated by HPU. I feel awful for the workers and customers that have to shop in a mess.

Every time we step on campus we are amazed at the caliber of students, faculty, and staff. HPU is providing the BEST for our daughter and all students. We highly recommend HPU to everyone.

HPU has been such a blessing to the city of High Point. They are providing employment to so many low-income residents without our community. These citizens would be in extreme conditions trying to find employment on the north end of High Point due to transportation and high cost of living. They truly consider the least of us while building future leaders within our community.

I have had two daughters go to High Point University. Both were in the Honors Program. Some of the things we have loved about HPU- 1. It has expanded its grounds from 75 acres to over 600 acres in the last 15 years so all technology, buildings, rooms are state of the art, 2. They are student focused- during covid all classes were live so the kids could have as normal a college experience as possible. They added food trucks and outdoor bubbles so students could meet in small groups with safe distancing,3. They focus on the student holistically not just academically- they have life skills classes (which can sound silly but are really appropriate right now) they focus on teaching students how to be good contributors to community, philanthropy, 4. They help with job interviewing by teaching skills in fine dining like proper etiquette and you have to dress in business attire to attend- the fine restaurants really pushed my girls to try new foods., 5. Academically they open opportunities with top notch leaders in the industry like Netflix founder, Apple leader, etc so the kids get to stretch themselve, 6. Great internship opportunities that rival Ivy League schools- my own daughter got in the internship program through this at JP Morgan in NY and got a FT job offer before her senior year- pretty cool. My last point, is EVERY kid on campus know Dr Nido Qubein. They wave to him, talk to him. When I went to college I had no clue who are president was as he was never visible. On top of all of this, HPU cost the same to send my girls to as it did to send my son to St Johns University in MN!

As a uber/lyft driver with an impeccable record for 5yrs, I have decided to no longer pickup or drop off here anymore with the annoying request for my license and then I have to figure out which gate the guard has it at to get it back. It is not worth the pay for all of that. Nice kids, but they need to come up with a new policy or allow professional drivers to apply for a badge or something as I am no longer handing over my license like that and watch the guard drop it on the ground and get it dirty and leave it out for others to see and etc. just wrong on many levels. Update- whoever wrote below obviously can not read. As I stated, change your process so drivers can fill out a background check application to obtain a badge instead (like visitors and their parents do) and not have to keep handing a DL. DL means nothing! Anyone can hand a fake DL, so what you are doing is still useless and NOT protecting the students there. Your supposed security is false and not secure which is why yah had shootings and other bad activities occur there. You are not secure, so go work on that and stop giving useless responses.

High Point University is a wonderful university that is student-driven, career oriented and safe! As an alumni of the University, I feel extremely successful in my career because of the way HPU prepared me. The school has a vast amount of opportunities for students of differing passions and encourages them to get involved! The curriculum is rigorous, the staff is welcoming, and the environment, as a whole, harbors success and excitement for growing. I am passionate about all that HPU is and what a wonderful place it is to attend!!
